Chapter5 The offer

Well, I just couldn't leave my story without a chapter for so long, so here is the `new nanny` , although majority of you guessed who it is, or will be.

Kagome woke up only for her eyes to be met by those of a hyper Rin. Looking around she noticed they were no longer in Rin's room, apparently someone had moved them the other night.

"Morning Kagome!" Rin chirped.

So much energy in such a little body .Kagome mused.

"Morning Rin." She said instead. Getting up she saw Rin walking towards a door which she opened.

"This is your bathroom, Sesshoumaru said you could use it and the clothes in that dresser over there." At this Rin pointed to a beautiful light blue dresser. You could clearly see it was a very old piece. Looking around she noticed that the whole room was in the same light shade of blue.

The room itself was huge. White doors. A quite comfy bed, and big windows leading towards a small sunflooded balcony.

Walking towards the bathroom she patted Rin's head and told the little girl to choose some clothes for her.

Even though she was smiling Kagome knew better than to assume, that Rin was OK.

After taking a long nice hot shower Kagome came out wearing a towel.

Looking at the bed, she made a mental note to take Rin shopping with her, the girl clearly had good taste, but afterall so did her father.

`Oh no Kagome, we're not going there!`her mind chanted.

As it seems Rin, who was currently sitting on Kagome's bed, had chosen a blood red top which tied behind her neck, and showed her neck, and a cream-coloured skirt, which clung to her body perfectly till it reached her mid thigh and then exploded in light waves of silk. The skirt was lower on one side and came up oblicly until reaching her other knee. The top was perfect as well, it showed a little of her slim waist, but for this extremely warm spring it was OK.

After dressing Rin made Kagome pull her hair up in a nice ponytail and gave her some cream sandals to wear.

"You look great Kagome!" Rin said hopping up and down in the room.

Kagome smiled at the young girl's enthusiasm and took her hand.

"So what now?" she asked .

Rin dragged her to the door and down the hall down the main staircase and then into the dining room, where Sesshoumaru was already seated , reading his paper.

"Now we eat!"Rin squeeled, dragging Kagome to the seat on Sesshoumaru's left while she sat on his right.

Looking up from his paper Sesshoumaru was suddenly glad he was sitting.

If he thought she was breathtaking the night before now she was drop dead gorgeous.

Her creamy sandals and skirt showed her long beautiful legs, her round hips and flat stomach between skirt and red blood top. Her soft pale skin contrasted the top just like her cherry lips contrasted her raven hair and blue eyes.

Standing he held out his hand to her.

`Why is this man always perfect?` Even now in his cappucino colored pants and light blue shirt, he was taller and more impressive than ever. His shirt showed each of his muscels, even if it was wide. Lean and yet strong and deadly. Yup, that was it. Deadly. Deadly to her.

Placing her hand in his, she felt the same electricity invade her like the night before.

Taking her to her seat, Sesshoumaru pulled out the chair for her and sat down only after she did.

No words were passed no words were needed, until all of them had eaten.

"What happened last night Rin?" Sesshoumaru asked facing his ward.

Instantly she began to cry and Kagome shot Sesshoumaru an angry glare. Standing up she went to Rin and lifted her in her arms.

"You shouldn't have asked that just yet!" Kagome accused him.

Mentally deciding to punish her, Sesshoumaru pulled her in his lap.

Kagome glared at him like he had grown a second head, but Sesshoumaru merely motioned to Rin.

She could always kill him later, Rin was important now.

Stroking her back soothingly, Kagome asked the little girl again.

"Rin, please tell us what happened. We want to help." She said sofly.

Rin looked up through tears and noticed they were sitting in Sesshoumaru's lap, but looking at Kagome she quieted.

Brushing away her tears Kagome waited for the child to answer.

" I had a nightmare and she came to my room. She said that lie again, but I didn't believe her because you told me not to , and I told her she was lying. She said I wasn't allowed to talk to her like that , and she , she hit me."Rin said and burried her head in the crock of Kagome's neck.

Kagome sighed, while Sesshoumaru watched the scene with curiosity. Before it had taken hours for Rin to calm but now Kagome did this in a few minutes, without even using her miko energy.

"She said it was only my fault that I got hit, that it was only my fault that Sesshoumaru would leave me."Rin continued.

Kagome pulled Rin back a little and smiled at her reassuringly.

" Nobody has the right to hit you, and nothing that woman did was your fault. Sesshoumaru is still here see, he's not going anywhere, right?" Kagome asked glaring at the culprit of this position.

"I'm not going to leave you Rin." He stated.

Rin instantly smiled again and hopped a few times on Kagome's lap, resulting in a blush from Kagome.

"OK, now can we go to the Zoo?" Rin asked hyperly.

"Of course, get your and Kagome's coat." Sesshoumaru said.

Rin got up and ran out the door, making Kagome get up herself.

"What did you think you were doing?" Kagome hissed, but he merely ignored her, changing the subject.

"Why are you so good with children?"he asked getting up himself.

" I have one little brother and cousin, so why wouldn't I be? And you did not answer my question!" Kagome repeated in an angry voice.

"I have a proposition for you. Become Rin's nanny. Of course you would have to stay here, but the job is pretty easy."he said quietly.

Kagome blinked at him confused when Rin came back.

"Think about it until tonight. One of your friends called your phone and told me your mother wanted you home tomorrow. You have one day ." he said going towards his smiling daughter who brought Kagome's jacket to her.

Did he just offer her a job?
