"Yeah, me too!" Sango says, struggling against Rin's pull.
"I have lots of planning to do," Rin says, and evil grin on her face, and then she pulls Sango out of the house with her.
Well , I think. This should be interesting.
Bleeding Heart
Five: Dare To Love
Saturday night. Rin should be here any minute.
The house is clean, and I'm pacing furiously around the house. I don't know why...it's just Sango and Rin. And maybe Miroku. But I don't know if Miroku will come. Sango said to me earlier that if he didn't, Rin and her were still going to try and get Inuyasha and I together...
That's why I think I'm panicking. I think I'm panicking because I don't know whether or not I want to do this. Or maybe I'm just nervous. Or maybe...maybe I'm worried about what will happen tonight. Worried because I don't know if Inuyasha feels the way about me that I think I feel about him.
Suddenly, there's a knock at the door.
Great , I think. Now there's only a few hours left until Rin starts what she calls her "match-making."
Rin is obviously excited beyond belief when I see her walk in the door, notifying me that she got Miroku to agree to come; but only because she thinks he likes Sango.
Sango just entered with a sigh and said, "Let's get this over with."
Rin smacked her arm. "Oh, come on, you know you like him. At least now we can get you two together."
I can't help but laugh at Rin's comments. I glance over at Inuyasha, who is busy watching TV, and then look back at Rin.
"Oh, don't worry," she says, noticing how nervous I am. "I know it'll work."
All I can do is nod, and then we move on to finish getting snacks ready.

Miroku arrives about an hour later. He seems happy about the whole thing, but I highly doubt he knows what Rin plans to do.
All we basically do is talk, eat pizza, and of course, all the high-in-sugar foods. Which, might I add, is not a very good thing for Rin, but I guess it's something I can't control.
After about two hours of just plain talking and hanging out, I suggest that we watch a movie.
"No!" Rin says excitedly, and I know what she's thinking of doing. "Let's play a game!"
Sango and I just look at each other, waiting for one of us to do something. But, like usual, we're both frozen to the spot. Most likely because of how nervous we both are.
Before I can even realize it, Rin has all of us sitting in a circle on the living room floor. I'm sitting next to Inuyasha, and Sango's next to Miroku, and Rin is sitting in the middle of us all.
"Okay," Rin says. "I'll start."
I feel my heartbeat quicken. I actually don't know why I'm so terrified of this. The worst that can happen is that Inuyasha won't feel the same way I do. And that's not that bad is it?
"First of all," Rin starts. "You can only pick truth once. So, choose carefully!" She winks at Sango and I, then continues speaking. "Miroku," she says, and I'm glad she didn't pick Inuyasha or me first. "Truth or dare?"
I don't know what happens, I'm only lost in my thoughts, but when Rin says Inuyasha's name, I can't find Sango or Miroku.
"Where'd they go?" I ask.
Rin gives a mischievous laugh and says, "They went off to do certain things...my little dare worked."
I can't help but smile, and once again, I don't even hear what she says; the next thing I know, Inuyasha's hand moves to mine and he places a kiss on my lips.
I really can't describe what I'm feeling right now; all I know is that I want more. Without another word from Rin, I pull Inuyasha closer to me. And, without thinking, I put my arms around his neck and kiss him for all I'm worth. To my surprise, he kisses me back, and returns my embrace by placing his arms around my waist.
I'm completely numb; most likely from passion. I didn't think that all it would be one kiss from him to make me loose control and go crazy just looking at him. Now, I can't keep myself away from him. His tongue runs across my bottom lip, begging for entrance, and I gladly grant him access. I can't tell you exactly what I'm feeling, all I know is that it's one of the best things I have ever felt. Every time his hand moves to a different place in my back, a shiver runs along my spine - a good shiver, might I add.
"Well," I hear Rin say, "I'll leave you two alone..." And then I hear her walk out of the room.
We both break away from the kiss gasping for air, and once we've caught our breath, we move in for more. Like I said, I can't keep myself away from him.
With one swift movement, he pulls me into his lap, holding me closer, not breaking the kiss. My arms are still wrapped loosely around his neck, and his still run up and down my back. His arm then moves to my middle, lifting my shirt up a bit to trace lazy patterns on my stomach.
He breaks the kiss and looks deeply into my eyes; his pools of liquid amber filled with affection. My eyes probably look the same, and I can't help but smile.
"Kagome..." he breathes softly, brushing a stray strand of hair away from my face.
"Hai?" I whisper, completely lost in his eyes. His silver hair is draped over his shoulders; his bangs hanging in his face.
I don't know if there was something on his mind, because he captures my lips in another deep kiss. I don't ask, I just kiss him back, taking in the wonderful feeling of being in his arms. Suddenly, he pulls away again, and just looks into my eyes once more.
"Is something wrong?" I ask.
"Iie," he says. "You're just beautiful."
I feel a small blush creep across my face as he says those words, and he moves me off his lap.
"Don't go," I beg.
"I'm not leaving, baka," he says playfully. "Come on." He cocks his head to the stairs.
I get up and follow him to the bedroom, where he lays me down on the bed and kisses me once more. He moves his mouth to my ear and whispers, "Aishiteru, Kagome."
"Aishiteru," I say back, my heart beat quickening. He lays down next to me, wrapping his arms around me.
"Oyasumi nasai," he says, kissing my neck.
"Good night, Inu-ko," I respond, and then I fall into a deep, comforting sleep.
*_*-*_*-*_*
I wake up in Inuyasha's arms once more, and then wonder where Rin, Sango, and Miroku are.
"Inu-ko," I say softly, shaking his shoulder. "Do you know where the others are?"
Surprisingly, he knows the answer. "Rin came in last night and said she was going home, and that Sango left with Miroku. It's only us now."
I smile contently. "Then I'll go back to sleep," I say.
"Good. I'm still tired," he says sleepily, then hold me closer.
I feel his breathing become even, and I know he's fallen back asleep. Slowly, but surely, I fall asleep to the soft rhythm of his heartbeat, glad to be in his arms; glad to be loved by him.
