Inuyasha walked into camp, carrying 3 plump rabbits. Miroku sat by the fire with a red handprint pulsating on his face, Sango sat under the shade of a tree with a rather annoyed look on her face, while Shippo played with Kirara. Kagome was no where in sight. Her scent was around the camp, but very faint.
“Where's Kagome,” Inuyahsa asked. Miroku and Sango looked up at Inuyasha.
“We thought she was with you,” Sango answered. As soon as Sango finished, a piercing scream ripped thought the camp, turning everyone's blood cold.
“Kagome…” Inuyasha dropped the rabbits and took off in the direction of the scream. Miroku, Sango, Shippo, and Kirara were quick to follow.
Inuyasha rushed through the trees, following Kagome's scent. He came upon a small clearing in the forest. There, lying next to a small creek, curled up, was his precious Kagome. Her shirt had been torn to shreds, and barely covered her body. There were bloody scratches all over her bare back as well.
“K-Kagome?” Inuyasha slowly inched towards her, hoping against hope that she wasn't dead. He was relieved when he saw her back expand with breath. He immediately threw off his haroi and covered Kagome.
Miroku and Sango burst through the trees. Sango gasped at the sight of her best firend unconscious with blood staining the grass around her.
“Inuyasha, what happened,” Sango asked.
“I-I don't know. I just found her like this. Her shirt was torn to shreds, and there's scratches all over her back,” Inuyahsa picked up Kagome, and cradled her in his arms, “Will you guys have a look around. My senses are dulled by Kagomes blood, and the new moon is tonight.”
“No problem. Take Kagome back to camp. We sent Shippo and Kirara back. They'll help you with her wounds,” Miroku explained. Inuyasha turned and walked out of the clearing. Miroku turned to a concerned Sango.
“Come let's see if we can find some clues as to who or what did this to her.”
“You're right Miroku. I'll look around the trees, and you look around where Kagome was found.” Miroku nodded and walked over to where Kagome was laying, and Sango walked towards the trees surround the creek.
Sango followed a small blood trail, and noticed that there was burn marks in the grass around the blood. She also noticed that there was huge claw marks in some of the tree trunks.
“Sango, come quickly,” Miroku yelled. Sango ran over to Miroku. She noticed he had a very puzzled look on his face.
“Sango, look at this,” He pointed to burns in the grass next to the creek.
“I found the same burn marks in the grass by the trees over there. I also found claw marks in a few of the tree trunks.” Miroku nodded.
“Hmm, well that's not all I found,” Miroku sighed, “Look at this.” Miroku held out his hand. Sango gasped.
“Miroku…is that…”
“Fur. Soft and Silver.”
