Kagome knocked on Inuyasha's door and waited for him to answer. She had told him to be ready at 7:30 so they could meet Sango and Miroku for breakfast. She hadn't seen her best friend in a long time and was anxious to know about her progress. But Inuyasha didn't seem to be up, and this made her scowl.

“He never listens to me!” She mumbled, as she opened the door

“Inuyasha get up right now!” She ordered, as she walked into the room. Inuyasha was lightly snoring from under the covers.

“Inuyasha!” She called, as she stepped over cords and maneuvered around his electrical monstrosities.

“Inuyasha?” She said, shaking him.

“What bitch?” He yelled, as his head appeared from under the covers. He looked very sleepy and his hair was fanned out around him like a silver veil.

“We have to go! Why aren't you ready?” She demanded with her hands on her hips.

“Go without me wench!” He said, pulling the sheets back over his head.

“No! You said you would come and I'm not letting you back out of it!” Kagome started tugging the covers in an attempt to force him awake. But Inuyasha's hand shot out from under the bundle of fabric and grabbed her wrist.

“I'm not decent! So unless you want to see something serious, you should stop pulling!” He growled.

“Oh!” Kagome blushed deep garnet and took a few steps back.

“Well just get up already!” She said, exiting the room very quickly.

Inuyasha snickered a bit at her hasty retreat and then sighed with annoyance. He kept waking up in the middle of the night after dreaming about Kagome and having to take care of a big problem. He was starting to get irritated with himself over it.

`I should just screw her'

But the moment the thought left the back of his mind he felt two things; one was regret for thinking of doing something that would hurt Kagome and make him less of a man, and the other was excitement because it was something he wanted to do.

“Inuyasha I don't hear you moving!” Kagome yelled.

“Bossy bitch!” He screamed back as he got out of bed.

Sango and Miroku waited outside the restaurant for Kagome and Inuyasha. They had filled the time making up wild stories about why the dysfunctional roommates were late. Miroku insisted that the two had finally hooked up and were busy going another round. Sango rolled her eyes and said she thought Inuyasha had blown up the apartment; Kagome had gone insane and was now busy hiding his dead body from authorities.

“She's doing something with his body alright…” Miroku said. Sango was in the process of pushing him over when Kagome and Inuyasha arrived in his car.

“It's not my fault you slept in the nude!” Kagome shouted.

“See Sango, you owe me an apology,” Miroku said, grinning.

His girlfriend ignored him completely and went to hug Kagome. Inuyasha simply walked passed them and stood beside Miroku with his arms crossed as he pouted.

“Oh my goodness Sango, I haven't seen you in a long time!” Kagome enthused.

“I know! I've been quarantined to my house!”

“What the fuck are you bitches babbling about? I wanna eat!”

“Inuyasha!” Kagome scolded.

“What's his problem?” Sango asked.

“He's acting like an eight-year-old,” Kagome hissed in his direction.

“Okay, how about we go inside before they call the police on us?” Miroku suggested.

Everyone walked in silently and seated themselves at a booth with Sango and Miroku on one side, Kagome, and Inuyasha on the other. The two were something to be laughed at, because they were going to great lengths not to touch each other. Kagome was leaning lightly on the wall and Inuyasha sitting on the edge of the seat. Miroku watched as the two ignored each other and then cleared his throat.

“Inuyasha are you still seeing Kikyou?” He asked.

“Nope,”

“You dumped her?” He asked. Kagome started to laugh and Inuyasha glared at her. She tried to hide herself behind the menu but her snickers could still be heard.

“Nope,” He said, sticking his spoon into his glass of water.

“She dumped you?” Sango asked innocently. Kagome coughed from behind the menu, but they could all hear her trying her absolute best to hold back laughter.

“So what of it?” Inuyasha snapped.

“Oh nothing...” Sango said, before picking up her own menu.

“You got something to say wench?” Inuyasha asked, looking over at Kagome. The top of Kagome's head could be seen shaking furiously in a “no” gesture.

“Okay Inuyasha you have to admit it's funny,” she said, putting down the menu and laughing.

“Oh really?” He snarled. Kagome nodded her head while laughing.

“Inu-ya-sha took her on a-a date to break up with her *laugh* and she broke up with him first!” Kagome was nearly lying down on the table because she was laughing so hard, and Sango was shaking behind her menu. Miroku had his hand over his mouth and was looking in the other direction.

“Ha-ha-ha laugh it up ya bunch of assholes!” This only made them laugh harder.

Inuyasha had turned completely side ways in his seat facing the rest of the restaurant and not the table of laughing friends. When they started to calm down he still didn't turn around. Everyone else looked like they had started crying and all of their faces were red.

“We're sorry Inuyasha. We're not really laughing at you; we're laughing at the irony of the situation,” Miroku reasoned between breathes.

“Whatever, you don't see me joking over that disaster of a date she had with Kouga,” Inuyasha spat.

“That was different Inuyasha,” Kagome said, in a warning tone.

“No it's not. I could sit here and laugh at the irony in your situation wench. You go on a date with him and find out he's a cheating basterd, and then get saddled with him as your partner on the project at work. Ha-ha-ha how ironic,” He teased. Kagome was about throw her drink on him when…

“Kouga is your partner on the big project?” Sango gasped. She looked at both of them in horror and Miroku nearly fell out of his seat.

“Is it because of me? Has he messed anything up? How far have you guys gotten? Is he sitting at my desk?” Sango blurted out.

“Thanks Inuyasha,” Miroku said, glaring at him.

“I forgot! It's your own faults anyway from getting me pissed off.”

“Sango please don't worry about it okay? Everything is fine,” Kagome said, gently. She couldn't believe their conversation had taken such a turn, but leave it Inuyasha to spoil everything.

“I'll try not think about it, but just tell me if everything is fine,” Sango pleaded.

“Sango don't start,” Miroku said, looking stern.

“Everything is fine Sango now, I won't tell you anymore so stop talking about it,” Kagome said.

“Are you ready to order?” The young waitress asked.

“Gladly,” Inuyasha said.

Ayame poked her head into her father's office and knocked lightly on the doorframe.

“Ayame, come in darling,” her father said, looking up from his paper work. Her father owned three car dealerships. Before he bought them out they were nothing, but he quickly turned them into the best in Tokyo and as result they had a very good family name.

“Daddy can you get me an internship?” She asked sweetly.

“Well I'm glad to see you taking your future seriously. I'm sure Kouga will like that,” he said, smiling at her.

“Yeah I bet he would,” she said, smiling back.

“Now tell me where you think you want this internship and I'll see what I can do,” He said.

“I was thinking about something in advertisement.”

“He bought you a dress?” Sango asked. She and Kagome were at a spa on the other side of the city. They were sitting in reclining chairs wrapped in seaweed with avocado cream masks on their faces and cucumber slices over their eyes; and their hair was tied up in a bun.

“Yeah and it's really beautiful Sango, you should see it!”

“How exactly did it happen?” Sango asked.

“Why are you going to try and analyze it?” Kagome giggled.

“You did it to me and Miroku,” Sango said, smiling.

“That was different. You two were made for each other, everybody else could see it but yourselves.”

“Back on topic please?” Sango was not going to let her change the subject. She noticed that every time it came to Inuyasha, Kagome would find a way to turn it into something else. It had taken her awhile to catch onto this because Kagome was so good at leading you in another direction. Sango was sure she'd used it many times on Inuyasha himself to get out of an argument but she wasn't pulling on her again.

“Okay so I came home in a bad mood, and he just stopped me when I was going into the kitchen and said he had something to show me. He went to his room and when he came back out he had the dress,” she said, nonchalantly.

“Did he say anything else?”

“Nope, just handed me the dress and said “here”. When I asked him about it he just told me, in his usually snarky way, that he wanted me to be his date for the press party.”

“Uh huh…” Sango said. She was deep in thought already but Kagome cut her off.

“See, there's nothing to analyze.”

“Oh yes there is. Did he ever buy Kikyou anything like that?”

“Well no but I'm sure if she was still his girlfriend at the time then she would have been his date and he would have bought a dress for her.”

“I'm sure he would have known that being as high class as Kikyou prides herself to be that she would have a closet full of nice dresses and wouldn't have thought about buying her one.”

“All that proves is that he knew I didn't have anything to wear so he took care of it,” Kagome said, matter-of-factly.

“If it were that simple then he could have just asked Kikyou to do him this last favor.”

“After the way she dumped him? You're crazy.”

“Well he could have asked any other girl but he asked you.”

“He has too many girls chasing him for his money now. He knows me and that's why he asked me.”

“They could be chasing him for his looks too.” Sango couldn't see her but she could hear that Kagome has started wiggling in her wrap and smiled.

`Okay I'll try this approach.'

“Inuyasha is really is very good looking, I'm sure any girl in Tokyo would have loved to be on his arm for this party,” she said.

“Poor girl would run as soon as he opened his mouth…” Kagome grumbled.

“You didn't.”

“I needed to make rent.”

“You've had more than enough time to look for a new apartment and new roommate.”

“It would be wrong to leave him hanging like that.”

“No it wouldn't, he can afford a whole new house with the money his making now. And he's about to be on the cover of a lot of magazines, so again good looking guy, lots of girls, he could easily find a new roommate.”

“I already told you that those girls are just shallow, he knows me. I was with him before he ever became famous and I'll more than likely still be there when he's not,” Kagome said, sounding frustrated.

“So you're better for him and won't leave him?” Sango said, smiling.

“Yes! Wait!” Kagome groaned and Sango started to laugh.

“That was sneaky Sango and it doesn't mean anything. This supposed to be our day to relax,” she pouted.

“Okay, I'll be quiet.”

`It looks like I'm not the only one who can't see who I'm made for.'

“I cannot believe you tried yoga!” Kagome said, happily.

“Feh, whatever.”

“I'm just glad you tried to have fun today instead of standing around sulking.”

“I don't know how people do that stuff,” Inuyasha said, rubbing his abdomen.

“Yeah you should have seen him when we shifted into one of my favorite, and most difficult moves.” Miroku said laughing.

“Huh?” Kagome said looking confused.

“It's a position where you lay on your back and keep your legs straight while bending them over the rest of your body. Your toes are supposed to touch the floor above your head.” Sango explained. It was her favorite one to see Miroku do.

“Ouch…” Kagome said.

“You have no idea,” Inuyasha said, looking sick.

Kagome laughed and Inuyasha smiled. Sango who was walking in front with Miroku nudged him with her elbow and gestured her head back to the laughing pair. Her boyfriend simply nodded and winked to show that he knew what she was hinting at. Then he grinned at her wickedly and she knew he was going to help her with this. After all, they had to repay Kagome for helping them, right?
