InuYasha Fan Fiction ❯ Crash ❯ Lunch with my Boss ( Chapter 3 )

“You can't COME? Sango do you know that THIS MEANS I'll be alone with my BOSS? ALONE? As in like one-on-one!!!!” Kagome practically screamed into the phone. “I'm really sorry, but I can't leave a project this big to….to MIROKU!?!” came the Sango on the other side of the phone. You can hear a series of complaints coming from the background, sounded like a male screaming, “My dearest Sango do you not trust me?” a large smack was heard five seconds later. Kagome sighed. “Well good luck to you…and me.”

“So you ready?” Kagome asked as she opened the door to Inuyasha's office. “Uh…yeah, give me a sec.” He said, stacking the papers into one pile. “Okay let's go.”

-In the Parking lot-

“I'll drive and I need the directions.” Inuyasha said, more like commanded. Kagome could tell he didn't trust her driving after their morning incident, so she just nodded. She almost drooled when she saw the black Porsche 2007 911 convertible, “OMG, this is so cool!” She said while admiring the soft leather seats. “This? I got four more cars at home.” Inuyasha bragged.

“Turn right, yup there it is, just a block away.” Kagome instructed. After Inuyasha parked his oh-so-cool car, they walked into the café, it was small but had a homey feeling to it. You could smell chocolate chips cookies in the air, mixed with another wonderful aroma Inuyasha wasn't quite sure was.

“I absolutely adore this place, I usually come here this time every single week, you could say I'm a VIP.” Kagome said. “The usual Kagome?” a voice came. “Yup, always, thanks Rin, oh this is my boss Inuyasha Takahashi.” Kagome introduced to Rin, the waitress. “I didn't know you take your bosses to dates Kagome.” Teased Rin, she laughed at both Inuyasha and Kagome's red cheeks. Inuyasha quickly gave her his order and she left.

When the food came, Inuyasha pretty much gobbled the whole thing up, leaving Kagome dumbstruck. “Wow, even my brother can't eat that fast.” Inuyasha burped, and blushed but was relieved when Kagome burped along with him. They ended up having a burping contest, Kagome won after burping Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.

Actually I was kinda happy Sango couldn't make it today; I had a lot of fun with Inuyasha, not like what I thought would be. Kagome thought to herself. She quickly finished her lunch and she and Inuyasha, who was still trying (unsuccessfully) to burp another song, headed back to work
