“Furniture shopping, furniture shopping, furniture shopping, furniture shopping, furniture shopping, I'm going furniture shopping!” Kagome sang as she hopped down the stairs, skipping the last three. She felt giddy like a schoolgirl, the last time she was this excited about something was, well yesterday but that's not the point. She must have broken the Guinness World Record, when she finished the breakfast at top speed. Her brother stared, he has never EVER seen her sister eat that fast, usually she's the last to leave the table. Kagome was out the door and into her car as soon as she finished.
She met Sango and Miroku at IKEA. She told them about the theme she's going for, for each room, and they started SHOPPING!!! They found the perfect dining table-chairs set; it was plain light orange-ish colour wood, with matching chairs. Miroku, surprisingly found a bookshelf that matched the guest bedroom's perfectly. Kagome got a utensil set for 5000 yen, and got a discount of the white couches she got. The coffee table had curved black legs that meet in the middle and curls out. Kagome also got a big brown mat/rug for the living room, to but under the couches and coffee table.
For lunch they had hotdogs from a nearby hotdog stand. “The mustard looks a little funky,” Miroku said, poking the sauce with his finger. Sango smacked his finger away, but accidentally got some mustard on her hand. She just wiped it on Miroku's shirt. “Hey, what's that for?” He exclaimed. “For being idiotic, just eat the damn hotdog.” Sango said. Kagome just stood at the side laughing.
The bed and other essentials were bought at The Barn, Sears, The Bay, etc…. They were going to be send to her apartment on Wednesday. “Whew, well we're done, what do you guys want to do now?” Kagome ask, wiping an imaginary sweat off her forehead. “Go home, I'm pooped.” Sango groaned. “I shall escort you home!” Miroku grinned, inching towards Sango. “Back off pervert.” She used her scariest voice. “Well I'll leave you two to deal with this, there's a place I want to check out.” Kagome said.
She really wasn't going anywhere, there's just this antique store that she saw on the way to work the other day. She walked in and was amazed how clutterly neat, this place was. She saw a beautiful yellow curtain that matched the kitchen perfectly, some hug pillows for the couch, etc… Suddenly she heard a familiar rough voice saying, “Oi, old hag I want this.” “Inuyasha?!” Kagome exclaimed. Inuyasha turned around and blushed bright as a beet when he saw her. “I..I..don't come here that often, I'm JUST GETTING A PRESENT FOR RIN!” He explained, saying the last part a little loud. “Rin?” Kagome asked, she didn't know why she felt a little jealous. “My niece.” Inuyasha answered, the asked, “why are you getting all those stuff?” looking at all things she had in her hand. “Oh, I bought my own apartment, so I just got some things to make it my own.” Now it was Kagome's turn to be questioned. “Sorry to interrupt your questions Inuyasha, but that looks a little heavy.” The old lady in charged of the store said, indicating to the pile of stuff in Kagome's hands. Inuyasha blushed again and took the stuff from Kagome, quite easily too, and put them on the counter. “Uh..thanks.” Kagome said. “Name is Kaede, I'm an old friend of Inuyasha's mom.” The old lady, Kaede said, while packing Kagome's things into a large bag. Kagome paid with her Visa card and took the bag, “Whoa, it's a lot heavier than I thought.” She exclaimed, almost dropping the bag. A hand shot from nowhere and took the bag from her, it was Inuyasha. “Come on I'll take it from here, did you drive?” Kagome nodded. Inuyasha help load it into her trunk. “Well I'll see you at work tomorrow.” He said and headed for his car. “I guess, thanks for helping.” Kagome called after him. He waved without turning around. Kagome sighed, and headed home.
