Summary: Kagome's bored at home with nothing to do so she heads through the well. The thing is, there's terrible encounter waiting for her at the other end. K/K
Disclaimer: I don't own any of the characters from Inuyasha or any other works from Takahashi-sensei. Though I wish I owned Kouga. Has anybody else noticed how finely toned his body is? Damn! If only I could find a guy like that. ((sighs))
For your information, this is slightly different than the manga/anime. Instead of Kouga and his pack being Wolf Demons, they're all werewolves. Just thought I'd clarify that point. -Niki
Chapter Two
Changes
Kagome sighed. Tonight was the full moon, and was less than a few hours away. She turned around to face Kouga, who was busy adding branches to keep the fire inside the den going well into the night. “Kouga? When will I… change?” Kouga stopped for a moment, turning to face her. He smiled.
“Do not be afraid. As soon as the moon is full in the sky you will change, along with me, and the rest of our clan. We will make sure to keep you protected. If there's anything you need to ask, feel free to ask me.” Kagome smiled back, hugging the wolf.
“Thank you, Kouga. I only wish…” Her voice cracked. She fell back into Kouga's chest, sobbing lightly. “I only wish that I could see my family.”
“Don't worry. You will see your family. For now, we will be your family.” Kouga perked up. “Kagome. Just to let you know, along with those changes in your human physique, your scent has changed. If Mutt Face were looking for you, he wouldn't be able to find you with his nose, which I think he probably is, right now.” His ears twitched. “The moon is about to change us. We need to be outside.” Kagome followed him outside, feeling her body tingle slightly.
She stopped short, a small headache forming. She fell on her hands and knees as the felt her arms grow shorter, fur beginning to grow on them. Her fingers came together, and her nails became longer, forming paws. She felt her nose grow long, into a snout, and her ears lay flat on the top of her head, changed. She arched her back, feeling the fur grow and her spine grew longer, forming a tail. Finally, she felt her hind legs bending to look like a wolves hind legs, and sat atop her shed clothing.
She was panting slightly. Kouga had transformed faster than she had and watched her turn into a beautiful wolf. He stared at her raven black coat of fur, her magnificent tail… He shook himself out of his stupor, walking towards Kagome, his nails clicking on the stone floor of the cave. He cocked his head to the side, trying to look at her, to get her attention. She looked at him, allowing him to see her beautiful pale blue orbs reflecting the moonlight.
“Kagome… You are beautiful…” He exclaimed with a small, wolfish smile. Kagome looked at him credulously.
“You don't look half bad yourself,” She exclaimed. She was glad for this fur. Had it not have been for that, she would be seen blushing a deep crimson at the moment. She stared at his icy blue eyes. They were so mesmerizing. She noticed Kouga giving her an odd look, and she looked away suddenly.
“Kagome… If you want, we could go somewhere more private. We could go take a walk in the forest.” Kagome smiled-as much as a wolf could- and nodded.
“That would be nice.”

Once out of hearing distance, Kouga stopped at a nearby clearing. He stared up at the moon.
“Kagome, What do you think about the moon?” He looked over to her, only to find she was staring at the moon as well. She turned to face him.
“I've always loved the moon. Especially on nights like this, when there's a few wispy clouds surrounding it. It looks so…” She couldn't find the word to describe it.
“Majestic? I know what you mean. I've always loved the moon as well. It always brought me a sense of peace, especially when there's something weighing heavily on my mind,” he exclaimed. He had hinted the `something' to be Kagome, but it seemed she didn't notice. Kagome had lain herself on the ground, resting her head on her paws. Kouga sighed and laid himself down next to her, his muzzle buried in the fur on her neck, falling asleep.
Kagome lay awake, sighing softly, thinking to herself for a long time. She could get used to this kind of attention. Inuyasha could never be like this anyways. She looked up towards the sky once more, noticing how early in the morning it was. She looked over towards Kouga, who was sleeping soundly. Suddenly she heard a rustle in the nearby bushes, and decided to check it out. She nudged away from Kouga, not having the heart to wake him up. She padded her way over to where she heard the sound, but found nothing. She sighed, turning around, coming face to face with the wolf from the other night. Kagome ran as far a she could from him, not wanting a repeat of the other night.
The wolf jumped in front of her, blocking her path. She panicked, staying frozen to the spot she was at. The wolf came closer, but she couldn't move nor speak at the moment. The wolf slashed a paw out at her, knocking her into a nearby tree, knocking the wind out of her and landing on her stomach. He pounced on her, effectively locking her in place. “By the way, my name's Remus. I expect you'll be screaming it later, so I wanted you to know it.” He nuzzled into her neck, inhaling deeply, taking in her heavenly ginger scent. She continued to squirm, trying to get free. He lay his head on top of hers, making it hard for her to make a sound with her mouth clamped shut.
“What's wrong, love? Too rough, am I? Too bad,” he exclaimed, licking her face. She struggled to get free, but the male wolf above her was much stronger. “Don't even try to get free, love. I don't want your friend waking up. I just want time alone with you to… well, you know what I'm talking about,” He implied. He set himself to lie all the way on top of her, only getting knocked away in the process. In front of her now stood a raven black wolf, growling at the outsider, standing over her protectively. The foreign wolf glared, growling at Kouga.
“You don't know when to learn, do you, you filthy bastard! I told you to stay away from my woman!” he growled, bearing sharp fangs. He pounced at the wolf, using his claws to leave a deep gash along his cheek. The wolf pounced back at him, snarling. “You disgust me! I refuse to let you near any of my pack, especially my mate!” Kagome was suddenly alert once she heard Kouga. His mate? Is that what he thinks of me? Inuyasha would never claim me like that. He would deny it. Perhaps Kouga is a better match than Inuyasha. No. I know he is.
When Kagome looked up again, the second wolf had gone, leaving a panting Kouga behind. He turned towards Kagome, and she gasped, noticing the cuts on his nose and ear. She padded over to him. “Arigato, Kouga-kun, for saving me… again.” She hesitantly licked the spot on his nose and ear where he had gotten cut. He noticed a small tear drop onto his paw. “I'm just… so pathetic. I can't do anything by myself. I'm so… stupid,” she cried. Kouga sighed.
“Kagome, you're anything but pathetic. To me, you're incredible, and you mean everything to me. If I were to lose you, I don't know what I would do.” He glanced at her, and her crying stopped. She sniffed, blinking her tear-filled blue eyes.
“Do you really mean it?” she asked, not sure if he was being truthful. He nodded. She could feel her eyes tearing up again as she spoke once more. “Oh, Kouga-kun… I don't know what I'd do without you here.” Kouga looked towards the sky. `I really don't know what I'd do,' he thought.
“We should head back. It's getting close to morning.” Kagome nodded, following him to the den.

“Inuyasha, it's getting really late,” the houshi exclaimed, but Inuyasha did not hear him, on account of he was swimming in rage at the moment.
“Where the hell is that wench! We've been waiting for her for the past 4 days!” Inuyasha yelled, irritated. Kagome said that she would be back within the next day or two, but it's been four days, and still no return. Miroku looked at him with a quirked brow.
“Did you check for her sent by the well? Did you talk to Kagome-sama's mother?” He questioned. Inuyasha threw him a glare.
“Of course! What do ya think I am?! Stupid?” he lied.
“Yes,” Miroku mumbled under his breath. He knew, along with everyone else, that he didn't.
“What was that, you perverted monk?” he spat.
“Oh, nothing, nothing.” The houshi stood up, wiping non-existent inu-slobber off of his robes. Inuyasha fumed at the action.
“Let's go back to the well. Maybe we can find some clues to her whereabouts there,” Sango offered. Miroku nodded.
“Sango may be right. We might find something.”
“I'll go. You all go to Kaede's village and get some rest,” Inuyasha grumbled.
“Are you sure, Inuyasha?” the little fox demon asked.
“I'll be fine, Shippou.”
Miroku sighed, turning to lead the group the other way before calling over his shoulder. “If you find anything, come to us!”
“Yeah, yeah, whatever.”

Inuyasha was walking slowly, deep in his thoughts. It was light out, now. Once at the well, Inuyasha noticed there were two new smells accompanying Kagome's. He sniffed the ground, where there was a spot that was imbedded, along with a blood stain. It smelt like Kagome! He sniffed in that spot, noticing two similar, but different smells. One smelt like spices, which was Kagome, and one that smelt like ginger alone. Inuyasha stood up, sniffing the air around him. He could sense there was a male wolf that was here. Inuyasha's ears perked up, hearing a rustle in the bushes. Suddenly a pack of five or so wolves launched themselves at him, knocking him to the ground, Tetsusaiga knocked effectively out of his grasp.
“What the hell?!” The wolves held him down as their leader walked casually up to the fallen inu. The wolf suddenly turned into a man, crouching next to Inuyasha, hidden by the other wolves.
“Are you here to try and find a mate for yourself? A most beautiful one came out of this well a few nights ago. I almost had her, too,” he said absentmindedly as he looked at the well and back at Inuyasha.
“Where the hell is Kagome?! You bastard! Where is she?!” he yelled, trying to get Tetsusaiga. One of the wolves pounded onto the arm reaching for the sword, then kicked it further away. The man smirked.
“Oh, so her name was Kagome, was it? I didn't get a chance to ask. She got my name, though. If I hadn't have been interrupted, she would've been screaming my name in pleasure at the moment.” He smiled at the inu's reaction to his words. He was struggling to get free, finally throwing two wolves off of him. Suddenly, two more held him down, along with the two he managed to throw off.
“Where the hell is Kagome, you bastard?! If you did anything to her, I swear, you'll be dead before you can say another word!” The man sighed.
“I really wish you'd stop calling me that. I do have a name, you know. It's Remus. Don't forget.”
“I don't care what your name is, you're still a bastard! Now where's Kagome?!” The man sighed again, annoyed at the hanyou in front of him.
“I really don't know now. But I don't think you'll find her. She's changed, you know,” he replied cryptically. Inuyasha's rage was at its breaking point.
“What do ya mean, I won't find her?! And what do ya mean, `she's changed'?! Hey! What the hell…?” Suddenly, the wolves weren't there. Inuyasha was baffled. “Damn it!” he yelled into the air as he ran as fast as he could to Kaede's hut, grabbing Tetsusaiga off the ground.
(---End chapter---)
Niki: Ha ha! I did a longer chapter this time… I mean, come on! Six pages is pretty good.
Inuyasha: Sure, whatever.
Niki: You're just mad because you don't think you'll end up with Kagome.
Inuyasha: (huffing) No! I just… I just don't like cats!
Niki: What the hell does that have to do with anything?.
Inuyasha: Your name. Neko-zuki.
Niki: Whatever. If I get enough good reviews, I might be encouraged to write another chapter! Ja ne! Oh, and no flames! Please R&R!
