Chapter eight- Healing

Kagome gently woke her up worry in her face. It had been so silent until the girl started screaming and crying, it was frightening.

She jolted awake her eyes filled with sorrow and terror of forgetfulness, her breathing was raged as tears fell from her eyes.

She clung to Kagome's arm and sobbed into her shirt.

"It's okay," Kagome soothed "It was only a nightmare. Whatever it was its gone now" She felt pity for the girl, who had only a few days ago been so brave and determined standing up to her father, but now she was like a child, crying over a monster.

"Why did they go? Why can't i remember?" She sobbed.

Kagome didn't hear a word of it as she rubbed the girls back gently, trying to sooth her without hurting her.

"My name?" she croaked "They called my name, to me?"

It took a while for the girl to calm down and stop crying. The moment she did and realised who she was hugging she pushed away and growled "What are you trying to do! Get away from me you monster!"

"I was trying to help you! but you seem so ungrateful" It was the last straw, on minute Kagome had felt sorry for the girl now she was furious. "I only wanted to help, i know you can't rememeber who you are!"

The girl was shocked she knew about her? "Do you..." She looked away she felt somewhat ashamed at having to ask a stranger "Do you know who i am?" she had her hopes up, that this girl could tell her.

"No, i'm sorry" Kagome sighed not really knowing what to say.

"I saw them... People i once knew, but i couldn't remember who they were" She was begining to cry again.

"Don't worry, i'm sure you'll remember slowly" Kagome took the sobbing girl back into her arms, hoping she had finally made a break through with her, maybe they could be friends.

"My names Kagome" she smiled.

'Kagome? I think i heard that name before... But where?'

"I... um need to check your wounds again" Kagome asked hoping this wouldn't make the girl angry again.

Thankfully the girl was complient this time and did as she was told, Kagome used the goldenwood and bandaged up the wounds.

"I think my names Sango" said the girl after the job was done.

Kilala, who had disapeared when the sun came up, had returned with fish in her mouth. Kagome cooked it till it went rather burnt, for cooking had never been her strong point (a/n: much like my mother).

Now the pair were eating the fish and not really talking. The girl had broken the silence.

"Do you remember anything else" Kagome asked thinking it was great she remembered anything. The wounds had been deeper than she thought in both body and mind, that someone could do such a horrible thing to another human being, was enough to drive anyone crazy.

Sango shook her head grimly 'I only know this because that woman in my dream told me'

Kagome flinched, she had almost heard the girls thoughts...

"Well just call you Sango. It's okay with time you'll remember, till then we can be friends... Right?" Kagome asked.

The girl looked up suprised "Ah?" she only thought about it for a second and smiled "Of course!"

If Kagome had of known of her future, if her mother had told her fate and that of her family, she may have worried about her father right now... and feared for her life.

But fate is cruel and those who know dare not tell, Kikyo had payed with her life when she told someone the fate of her daughter, or maybe her death was just important, no one was really sure... Kikyo had seen what fate had in store and had always worried for her daughter.

She tried to teach her as much as she could about her power but she wasn't sure what excactly it was and needed the help of someone more experienced... Some say that's why she died, for telling to muc. why do you think most seers use crazy ryhms?

The battlefield was bloody people were dying, bleeding and everything smelled of rot and poison.

That didn't seem to affect Leon as he rode through the battlefield slaughing demon and human alike, their blood staining his flesh and their cries driving him on.

But he noticed her, he had to notice her, the woman with eyes as red as blood and a stern angry look.

The woman who glided on a feather though the battlefield towards him. She was graceful, beautiful but still sad.

'This is not what i want!' She thought angrily...

A pale girl looked into a mirror, that didn't reflect her image, and thought to herself 'To be one again... wouldn't that be nice? one day sisters'.

This was the start of Kagomes trouble and worries... And the begining of healing...
