Chapter Twelve: I will not let you go.

After Kagome has spent her tears, she forms a plan in her mind, she will not admit defeat, even if the damn hanyou is to stubborn to admit it to himself, they need each other and she would be damned if she would just sit and wait for his return like some faithful mutt. Sango had also been very solemn since Miroku left her, she would stay In the room they had shared and cry into her pillows one minute and curse him the next. How dare they just leave like that, she was pregnant with Miroku's child and Kagome was pregnant with Inuyasha's pup. So they both made the decision one night after supper, they saddle up the horses and left during the middle of the night, both women were anxious to give their lovers a piece of their mind for leaving them alone like that. Inuyasha was sitting around their makeshift campfire thinking about his mate, and wondering if he could truly ever forget about her, but than he remembered the blood on his hands and hardened his resolve, he had to stay away they were all much safer with him out of the picture. Miroku wanted to bring Sango along, he knew she was pregnant with his child, but he knew that if he had brought her along, then Kagome would have to come as well, and that was something Inuyasha would not allow to happen. So the youkai, sat around the fire each immersed in their own thoughts. Sesshomaru was thinking how he couldn't wait to be back in his chambers with his huge mirror and bathtub, he couldn't wait to wash his hair with his favorite shampoos. Bankotsu was thinking about a girl in the village her name was Kaname, she had long blue hair and she was a taiyoukai, like Sesshomaru. He had planned on asking her to be his mate, when he returned still hoping in his heart that she hadn't found another while he was away for so long.

“Kagome It's been over six hours since we last stopped to rest, my ass is sore, and I need to go to the bathroom really bad.” Kagome herself was feeling pretty tired, the pup inside her was starting to grow and she could feel her body growing with it, it only took a youkai pup about four months before they were fully developed, as youkai are stronger that humans, Kagome was feeling the kicks already, as was Sango, both of their stomachs were rounded, and their feet were swollen, their backs constantly ached, they had been traveling for weeks now, the castle was only another two days ride for them and Kagome was eager to see her mate, she really missed him, even if he was a arrogant selfish prick.

Meanwhile in the village, Inuyasha sat in a corner downing his beer as he watched his men, Bankotsu had a blue haired wench on his lap, and Miroku who was currently drowning his sorrows in several beers was talking to a women about his lovely Sango, she seemed less than happy while she was trying to sit on his lap. Finally the women had gotten the hint after being unceremoniously dumped off of his lap onto the hard floor, and scurried off to sit on another mans lap while looking at Miroku to see if he was watching. Miroku went over to his leader, and told him that he needed to see Sango, and he didn't give a shit what he said he was going to go back to their village and Inuyasha could just go to hell. Inuyasha also realized that he missed his mate, and as much as he tried to forget about her, she would haunt his dreams, he decided that they needed to go back and get their women, so both still pretty drunk set off while singing drunkenly on their horses back to their women. Kagome and Sango had been riding for two days and finally made it to a village where there was tons of youkai, Kagome got off of her horse and walked right over to one of them demanding to see Inuyasha, as did a very upset and pregnant Sango. The women were tired from their travels and were given beds to sleep in the castle, and rest from their journeys after they had found out that their men had left last night, they both about fainted. While Kagome and Sango were sleeping in their makeshift camp, a drunken Inuyasha and Miroku had rode right by, the girls were to tired and so they didn't hear nor see them. Sesshomaru offered them a place to stay in his castle, he had sent a rider out to go and find Inuyasha and Miroku and bring them back. Kagome reluctantly accepted her brother in laws offer, Sango also stayed in a room in the castle. A midwife came and told them it was much to dangerous for them to ride right now, as they were both almost full term. SO Kagome and Sango made themselves at home in the youkai village, patiently waiting for their men to return.
