Kagome nodded and watched Kouga leave then turned to the boys, "You guys come bring some toys into the room over here. I want to talk to my friend Sango, but I also want to keep an eye on your baka uncle."

Souta and Shippou picked up some toys and walked over to where Kagome was and sat down playing.

Kagome sat down in a chair beside Inu Yasha's bed and looked at Sango, and prepared herself as she watched her friend open her mouth, "They don't know about Mayu, do they?"

Kagome eyed her warily, "No one outside the family does. Muuona does, but that's only because she dug into my past and my records."

Sango nodded slightly, "What happened between you and Hojo?"

Kagome stared into a corner, "He found someone better suited to his needs."

Sango narrowed her eyes a bit, "Who?"

"Sakura."

"NANI?!"

"Hai."

"Oh, Kagome, I'm sorry," Sango touched her friend's arm.

"Eh, don't worry about it." Kagome looked up at her friend and smiled, "I have a great job, and I'm working on finishing school, and I live with the biggest, yet hottest idiot on the face of the planet."

Sango shook her head and laughed, "Always looking on the bright side, aren't you?" Kagome smiled but didn't answer.

Inu Yasha licked his dry lips as he spoke in a hoarse voice, "Hot, yes ...idiot I don't think so." He opened his eyes and looked around the room. "Did I ever tell anyone I hate hospitals?" He asked as he began a coughing fit.

Kagome's eyes flew open and she looked at Inu Yasha, "I thought you were asleep!"

He tried to smile but failed, "You should pay more attention...."

She looked over at Inu Yasha, "And YOU should watch where you land when you are flying through the air!" She joked half-heartedly.

"Well what can I say I haven't gotten my wings yet," he said in his usual smart ass tone.

Sango looked over to the bedridden man and arched a brow, "You're right, he is cute, if he wasn't black and blue. And I thought you said he was gay." Kagome's eyes flew open, "Sango!"

Inu Yasha closed his eyes, "Well, that secret's out...not that I tried to hide it that well.'' He laughed quietly, "I am bisexual, not gay....well, you know what I mean."

Kagome and Sango both blinked. The latter of the two leaned over the boy's bed and eyed him, "Have they given you anything for your ribs yet, or has the nurse even been by?"

He narrowed his eyes at her, "Why do you ask that?"

Sango stood up over the bed, "Don't you get snappy with me, or I'll break a few more for ya. I was just asking."

Inu Yasha growled, "They gave me a little something, but not much."

Sango looked at his clip board and rolled her eyes, "Well, Ayame's your nurse, no wonder. That idiot doesn't know which end is up." Sango walked over to the line of cabinets on the wall and pulled something out of one of them and walked back over to him, "Here, this is an Oxycotin, it'll fuck with your head but you won't even know you have any bones, let alone broken ribs."

"Oh, man, not that stuff, that really fucks me up," He looked at the meds, "Isn't there something else I can take?"

Sango looked back up into the cabinet, "Vikaden."

"Well that could work," Inu Yasha mumbled "As long as I dont hurt as bad."

Sango handed him one of the pills then sat down beside Kagome, "Is your mother still dating Onigumo?"

Kagome nodded cautiously, "Yes, why?"

Sango shrugged, "Well, nothing legal can take pain off of him as good as a joint can, so if you can buy some off of him, then have this guy take a Vikaden and then even just blow smoke on him and it should get him pretty good."

Kagome's face went dark crimson, "Sango!" Sango shrugged, "What, I can get him released early too if you want me to." Kagome groaned and dropped her head into her hands.

Inu Yasha took the meds with a glass of water by his bed, "You two must know each other well," he said as he settled back onto his pillow.

Kagome sighed, "She was an upperclassman when I was in my Junior year at St. Katherine's. I heard she joined up with an internship out around here but I didn't know that she worked in this town."

Inu Yasha looked at them through half closed eyes, "Don't you have classes tonight Kags?" He yawned.

Kagome shook her head, "It doesn't matter. Your mom is coming by later to pick the boys up so they can stay the night with her. I'm not leaving."

He growled at her, half asleep, "Go to class..."

Kagome flipped him off, "Kiss my ass."

Sango blinked, "Hey that rhymed."

Inu grunted and closed his eyes falling asleep.

Sango looked over at her, "Do you want me to get him released tonight?"

Kagome watched Inu Yasha sleep, "Yea... I think he'd sleep better in his own bed. But I have to wait for his mom to come back with the car."

Sango nodded, "Alright."
