Chapter 5: The Conversation
A/N: sorry for the late update. Too much going on at once. Well, on to the story.

Sesshomaru walked quietly through the forest. Thinking to himself, he stopped. ‘Why is she always on my fucking mind?’ He lashed out and took down a few trees. ‘Stupid bitch! I’ll have her or no one will!!’ With that he took off to find Jaken and Rin.

“Tell me I fuck you better!” he yelled as he pounded into her from behind. “Tell me bitch!” he yelled again dragging his claws down her backbone leaving a bloody trail. She arched her back in pain filled pleasure. “You fuck better!” she screamed as he pounded her harder. “Say his name bitch!” he whispered as he drew out of her wetness. The world seemed hazy as he slowly opened his eyes. ‘Why the fuck does my head hurt so much?’ he wondered as he slowly sat up. As his eyes adjusted to the morning light, InuYasha looked around the clearing he had ended up in last night. He looked down at his side and saw a naked Kikyo wrapped in his fire rat shirt. ‘Oh, now I remember.’ The events of the night before began to replay in his head; fucking Kikyo in the clearing, finding Kagome with Kouga, then Sango knocking him out, waking up and finding Kikyo again.
As InuYasha was running things through his mind, Kikyo had woken. She stood up and began to dress. Yawning slightly she said, “Morning InuYasha.” Slightly startled, he looked up at her and returned the greeting. InuYasha stood and began to dress. Half way through getting his pants on, Kikyo was fully dressed and almost out of the clearing. “Hey, where are you going?” he yelled after her. “I have business I need to attend to.” She stated without stopping. “When you want me you know how to find me.” At that she was out of the clearing. ‘She’s been acting really strange lately. I wonder what’s going on.’ While thinking over Kikyos behavior he finished dressing and made his way back to the group.

Sango, Miroko and Shippo were already awake, fed and packing up when InuYasha arrived. No one even acknowledged his return.
InuYasha walked up to Mirokou and asked him where Kagome was. Without looking him in the face he said “She left with Kouga early this morning and don’t go looking for her because Kouga is now her protector and she will not stop a fight this time. If you go looking for her, she will side with Kouga. You won’t have a chance.” InuYasha looked thunderstruck. “Well, what am I supposed to do now? Just wait for her to get back?” “Do as you wish InuYasha. That’s what you did before so why change now, we all already know what you’ve done.” “What’s that supposed to mean?” InuYasha screamed. Everyone looked at him.

Kouga and Kagome had arrived at his den. His pack was surprised to see Kagome there without her entourage. “Kagome there are a few things I need to take care of. So if you could wait out here, it should only take a few minutes.” Kouga asked as he ushered his friends into the den. Kagome nodded her head then turned and sat down, resting in the sun.
Once inside his comrades started shooting questions at him. ‘Is she here to stay?’ ‘Did you and Kagome mate?’ ‘When’s the pup due?’ “Stop!” Kouga yelled. “Ginta I need you to look over the pack for me.” Ginta nodded. “Kagome has asked me to accompany her on her mission for the jewel shards.” Picking up the few things he needed, he started to walk out of the den. “I’ll be back every so often to check in.”
“Ready Kagome.” Kouga asked as he looked at her sunbathing. Kagome looked up at him and started to rise. “Ready when you are.” Kouga lifted her bridal style and they were off.

“You know exactly what that means!” Sango said irately. “Kagome told us EVERYTHING she saw night before last.” “What do you mean everything?” “I mean everything. InuYasha had blanched at the statement she had made.“Kagome told us the whole of what she saw. Everyone heard except Shippo. Yes, even Kouga.” “That little bitch! How could she?” InuYasha yelled indignantly. Shippo came running over to Sango and InuYasha. “Shut UP! Don’t call my mom a bitch. She has every right to say what she wants when she wants. You betrayed her and the rest of use in the worst way. To Kagome, what you did is just as bad as if you had teamed up with Naraku.” Shippo stopped to catch his breath, “And you had better get used to Kouga quick because he’s coming with us to protect Kagome.” InuYasha swelled in anger. “What about me?! Does she think I can’t protect her? What can that mangy wolf do that I can’t?” “Well, what about you?” Miroku butted in. “She feels betrayed. How can she think you can protect her from demons when you can’t even protect her from yourself?” Sango looked at Miroku. “He’s right, InuYasha. Kouga has never hurt Kagome and he has always been upfront about his feelings for her. She feels secure with him because, unlike you, he never goes running off ever time he catches the scent of a dead woman and then when caught, denies it. He has never hurt her and I doubt he will.” Sango turned on heel and walked away to finish her packing. Miroku and Shippo also went back to their tasks.
“I can’t believe you people!” InuYasha said incredulously. “It happens one time and you all go running to Kagome’s side.” InuYasha turned and sat on the ground, his back to everyone.
Just as he made that statement Kagome and Kouga showed up. “Only one time InuYasha.” Kagome said. “You must have deplorable memory because I think we all know of more than one time.” InuYasha just turned away from her with a “Feh.”
“If you don’t know. InuYasha meet my new protector. Kouga” Kagome said with a smirk on her face. Miroku looked at her thinking ‘This is going to get interesting.’
