Chap 2
To See
looked around the clearing. She was absolutely confused with her surrounding, not to mention she was dead scared. Funny, she was dead already wasn't she. Yeah, alive and living in a dead clay pot, what could be worse than that?
than she tripped and fell down the slippery wet grass, she was so glad that Kikyo's body had such a good barrier or else she'd be in big trouble. She sighed as she stared dimly at the stars above her. Damn they were pretty, but they'd be even prettier if Inuyasha was here with her . . .
there it goes again. She was thinking of Inuyasha again, for what that tenth time? Well she could always go back to the camp, she knew where it was and maybe Kikyo's body would allow her to fly there with those demon thingies.
it was worth a try. Kagome closed her eyes and waited, centering her power to calling the demons. After awhile she opened her eyes and looked around, in truth she was stunned, it had worked. There before her were the demons that stole souls for Kikyo. She smiled calling upon them and before she knew it she was lifted into the air. She could visibly see her body disappear and reappear before her eyes.
soon as the process was over she again looked around. Yep this was the place near the camp, just near enough so she could walk the little ways. Kagome started off the trail. She really didn't expect to see Inuyasha just around that big tree in front of her.
gasped as he grasped her hand in his and than spoke. He clearly didn't want her to run away from him. "Kikyo, what were you doing with Kagome?" he asked his voice full of hurt and concern at the same time.
wanted to give a simple answer which she complied to. "Nothing." she answered in a light airy tone, which took on the one from her real body. She watched as Inuyasha gulped slowly before moving onto interogating further.

know me better than that Inuyasha." Kagome laughed, smiling ever so slightly. She was taken totally by surprise when he slammed his fist into the tree behind her. "Inuyasha." All possible traces of laughter disappeared from her face as Inuyasha growled his words out.

didn't know how to answer to that, she wasn't Kikyo and didn't have any notes on how to act like the dead girl. Slowly she leaned forwards to him falling into his steady grasp. "Don't you . . .?" she whispered breathing in his scent. She really didn't know what to do. Should she tell him and let him live with her like this? But she didn't want to, her mouth wouldn't open to tell him. Kikyo's body didn't want her to, so it was refusing her pleas.
began to form in her new grey eyes as she clasped onto Inuyasha. Why was she doing this? Was it because she needed comfort and Inuyasha was in love with Kikyo and would probably let her cry on him.
tears began to flow heavily down her cheeks at the sudden realization. Inuyasha respected Kikyo and loved her just the same. He loves her, not me. That concept made her cry harder.
that time Inuyasha's eyes were closed and all he was aware of was the girl wrapped up in his arms. He sniffed the air around them and silently muttered Kagome's name into her ear. He pressed a kiss to her neck. "Don't cry, Kagome."
she muttered as she pulled away from him, reaching her hands to wipe away her tears. Than she snapped her eyes to Inuyasha's face, his eyes still closed. She smiled, he had called her Kagome in Kikyo's body. "Inuyasha."
slowly opened his eyes to see the image of Kikyo. He almost blushed, he had called her Kagome. "Kik-" he was stopped at Kagome pressed her cold fingers to his lips in retaliation to what he was about to say. She smiled.
me Kagome, Inuyasha." she whispered walking away, back into the forest. A gentle whimper coming from far back. Suddenly Kagome turned on her heel and rushed right past Inuyasha and to the camp.
stared blankly after her, what had made her run back. Finally after digestingwhat she had just said it dawned on him why Kikyo smelled of Kagome and Kagome smelled of Kikyo. Inuyasha quickly ran after her leaping once every four steps, it was faster that way.
crouched down in front of Shippo's sleeping figure wondering what had made him cry out. She sighed as she gently patted the kits cheek before getting up again. She glanced relentlessly at her own sleeping figure. Than at her cold hands.
odd power had made them switch bodies? Suddenly a warm grasp pulled her close from behind, she saw a wisp of silver hair and relaxed against him. "Inuyasha" she whispered settling her hands over his, which lay on her abdomenen.
He whispered into her ear, his hot breathe tickling the area making her giggle.
. . .?" she asked laying her head on his shoulder as she relaxed a bit more into his hold. Trying to forget for once that she was in Kikyo's body but every now and than she glanced at her sleeping body on the ground.
happened?" he whispered again, slowly pulling back but didn't really go that far when Kagome grumbled and cluched his hands in place, not wanting to lose the contact.
don't know." She answered. "We fell into that pond back there and than a purple glow emitted from the bottom and we kinda' came up from the bottom in each others bodies." she said, grumbling about how she missed her body already.
about that time I saw you two glaring at each other?"
don't know, I guess we were just looking at each others face and not really at what we were wearing. There wasn't really a difference." She mumbled knowing Inuyasha would hear anyway. She closed her eyes not wanting to see her body anymore, she wanted to believe she was in her own body feeling what she was feeling right now in her own body.
it was nearly impossible when every now and than her hands brushed agasint each other feeling the coldness of death. She hated Kikyo's body already. It was too cold and still held some hatred in it for Inuyasha. She whimpered as she felt his hand slide down her tummy.
. . . whats wrong Kagome?" Inuyasha asked concern in his voice. As he shifted his hand upper to settle back with his other hand. "Kagome?"
kept quiet as she opened her eyes to turn around to see the hanyou. His amber eyes bore holes into her soul. "Who do you see, Inuyasha?" she asked backing him up against a tree.
lips quirked into a smile as he closed his eyes. "I see Kagome."
started to giggle, but than the three people sleeping on the ground just a little away, started to stir. She sighed inwardly. "I have to go." she whispered. He can't remember this, I want to see how he treats me first. With that Kagome pressed her lips to his, taking advantage of his closed eyes. Purple light flowed from their bodies before Kagome disappeared with the light.
opened his eyes, looking alertly around. "Must've been dreaming." he muttered walking over to the girl sleeping by the tree he had been sleeping on. She was so beautiful just lying there; sleeping.
