Kagome scowled at him. “I’m already in freaking public more than I usually am. No way an I going somewhere televised. Let alone with thousands of other people around be, half being rich stars.” She shook her head no and started walking off.
*************Now
Inu Yasha grabbed her hand before Kagome could leave.
“Then we won’t go.” He said tugging her back to his side.
“Wha?” Miroku stared between his friends lost.
“I will protect you.” Inu Yasha’s face was set. He looked into Kagome’s eyes wanting to say more but felt that the mall wasn’t the best place. She smiled knowing there was more.
“Did I miss something?” Miroku stared at the couple. “And who are you?” He pointed to the kitsune on Kagome’s shoulder. Shippo ducked back under Kagome’s hair.
“Oh, Miroku this is Shippo my son.” Kagome looked away from Inu Yasha and back to Miroku.
“Your son?!” Miroku gasped and looked very confused.
“Inu Yasha. I think its time to go change my bandages.” Kagome lifted the bottom of her shirt looking at the wrapping that was red with blood.
“Ya, we should.” He wrapped an arm around Kagome and waved a hand in front of Miroku’s face. “Dude, hello!?”Miroku blinked a few times at Kagome’s stomach and then back to Inu yasha in a daze.
“He’s lost.” Inu Yasha laughed. “Come on Miro, lets head over to your house. Sango should be waiting.” Inu yasha turned and began walking with Kagome at his side. Miroku stumbled behind them.
The limo pulled up to a tall expensive looking house. The door opened and Inu Yasha climbed out helping Kagome out behind him. Shippo jumped to his shoulder and under his hair. Miroku climbed out and led the way to the house.
Sango opened the door as they climbed the steps. “MR. TAKASHI!” Sango growled fuming. “How very nice to see you.” She ground out.
“Ya, nice to see you too Sango. Look we’re not going to the awards.” Inu Yasha said flatly shutting the door behind him.
Miroku stumbled into the living room and sat down. “How did you get hurt Kagome?” He whispered.
“Huh?” Kagome sat down in a chair at Inu Yasha’s command. “Oh, I had a run in with some robbers. It didn’t hit anything major.” Kagome moved to the edge of the chair and pulled off her shirt. Sango gasped at the blood covered bandages. Kagome began unwrapping then from her mid-section. “I had to wait around to the cops, made another quick check of the area and headed back to the apartment. Rin almost killed me in the hall right outside the door. Then Inu Yasha had to make a fuss.” She let out a long sigh sitting back.
Inu Yasha entered the room. “Ya I did. I’m a demon. Blood it precious to us.” He blushed but took the bandages and wrap he had brought and re-wrapped Kagome’s wound.
“Un hun.” Kagome watched him but let it go.
“So your not going to Europe for the awards?” Sango asked.
“Nope.” Inu Yasha tied the wrapping in place and handed Kagome her shirt back.
“Why?” Sango pushed.
Inu Yasha looked at Kagome but she only shrugged.
“Because me and Kagome are getting to know each other. Surprisingly we’re in love.” Inu Yasha blushed and took a seat on the arm of the chair next to Kagome. “We’re heading out once in awhile together too. Kagome’s going to show me what her life is like at night.”
Miroku and Sango both were shocked beyond belief. Then Sango squealed and Inu Yasha lowered his ears in pain.
“So when’s the wedding?” She asked.
“Wedding?” Kagome stuttered. Inu Yasha almost fell from his perch, he righted himself and stared at Sango.
“Who said anything about a wedding?” Inu Yasha shot back. He looked at Kagome who was trying not to hit the woman across the room.
“Oh come on!” Sango waved her hand. “You two are perfect for each other.”
Kagome stood up and looked at Sango. Inu Yasha grabbed her arm and tugged her back into the chair.
“We don’t think there will be a wedding.” Kagome finally said trying at calm herself.
“What? No wedding!”
Kagome shook her head. “If we do anything, it will be his way. If Inu Yasha wants a wedding that’s fine, but I don’t think we will.”
“If anything it will be a demon mating ritual.” Inu Yasha sat his hand on Kagome’s shoulder.
“Hey where’d your son go Kagome?” Miroku looked around the room.
Shippo looked out from Inu Yasha’s hair. “Oh my god, he is so adorable.” Sango squealed. Shippo looked out further from the cover of Inu Yasha’s hair.
Kagome grabbed him and Shippo jumped. She smiled at him and held the boy in her lap.
“That’s your son?” Sango stood and walked slowly over to Kagome and Shippo.
“Well yes and no.” Kagome fixed Shippo’s bow. “I’ve adopted him.” Shippo looked up at her.
“What’s adopted?”
“It means I say you’re my son but not by blood.” Kagome smiled again at him.
“Oh. What e rope?” Shippo asked again.
“Europe is a country across a lot of water. It’s kinda like this country.” Kagome spread her arms and explained.
“What’s a country?” Inu Yasha was amazed, the boy had never been to school.
“It’s a bunch of houses in groups across a lot of land. They work together to protect each other.”
Inu Yasha was glad he had taken the chance to enroll Shippo in kindergarten.
“Oh. One more thing. What is a fee ant say?”
Kagome’s eyes widened. “Where did you hear that?” Beside her Inu Yasha shifted.
“Inu Yasha said that’s what him and you were.” Shippo looked around at Inu Yasha and his new mother. “Is it a bad thing?”
“No, no Shippo it isn’t. It means two people are together and plan on having a....” She looked for the right word he could understand. “A party so that everyone knows they are together forever.”
“So you and Inu Yasha are going to have a party?” Shippo asked again.
“Maybe.” Kagome whispered. She made a mental note to ring her boss’ neck in the near future.
“Ha, I knew it!” Sango shouted in triumph. “So you two are going to get married!”
“No were not!” Inu Yasha growled. He felt a pang in his chest as he said it. Kagome, he could see out of the corner of his eye, was staring down at the boy in her lap. “Look, right now were just kinda dating, so to say.” he let out a long and tired sigh.
“Fine.” Sango huffed and went back to her seat.
“I think we should get back to the apartment.” Inu Yasha took Shippo from Kagome as if the boy was a baby. Kagome nodded and stood saying her good-byes and heading out the door. Inu Yasha glared at Sango before shutting the door behind him.
Once in the limo, Kagome took her seat looking out the window.
“Shippo why don’t you go up front with the driver so me and your mom can talk.” Inu Yasha offered opening the privacy window.
Shippo nodded and climbed through the window into the front seat buckling up. Inu Yasha shut the window again.
“Kagome?” She didn’t respond. “Talk to me please.” Again Kagome didn’t say anything. Inu Yasha moved across the seat to sit beside her and lightly smelt the start of tears. “Are you alright?” Kagome shrugged.
“I’m confused.” She admitted.
“About?” Inu Yasha wrapped an arm around her and pulled her to his body.
Kagome leaned against him unsure of everything. “This was just suppose to be a job. Something I did to survive. Now, im in love and have a son. The talking and arguing about weddings just....it pulled me back into reality. I’ve been alone, and now, now I’m with you happy.” She choked back tears and undid her seat belt. She fell into his body and held on with everything she had. Tears trickled unwantedly down her face and into Inu Yasha’s shirt.
Inu Yasha wrapped both arms around Kagome and kissed her head. He hated it when women cried and was hating it even more when she cried.
“I was so scared you let me this morning, waking up and not feeling you behind me.” Her voice floated up to him and he held on to her tighter.
“I’m sorry. I never thought a hanyou like me would fall in love.” He whispered. Kagome looked up at him and kissed his lips. It was innocent but they poured their souls into each other. The car stopped and they pulled away from each other panting.
The door opened. Kagome crawled out followed by her lover. “Take Shippo to Kyade. And bring him back around dinner time.” The driver bowed.
Shippo bounced around the car. “Shippo I want you to go meet Kyade. Me and your mom are going to have adult time.”
Shippo looked at them. “We’re not trying to get rid of you hunny. But me and Inu are going to have...” Kagome looked for a good lie quickly. “A adult party. We’re going to have a few drinks and watch a movie so that we can have dinner later tonight.” Kagome smiled at Shippo. That actually sound like a good idea.
Shippo smiled. He kissed Kagome bye and nodded to Inu Yasha before climbing back into the car.
Ok that’s all I can think of for now :P Anyways I think the next chapter will have a lemon but im not sure. I want to thank my readers though. And please
