Chapter 25
Monday morning, Kagome was still sore from the Friday party. She rolled out of bed and into jeans and a really nice shirt Inu had given her. She sat on her bed for what seemed like hours, but when she looked at the clock it had only been a few minutes.
A car horn blew and she ran down stairs, grabbing her purse and backpack. Her lips graced Souta's head before she smiled at him and departed. Falling into the car, her eyes locked with gold and then looked away. “What?” She smirked at him.
“You're just so pretty.” He said in a childish tone, reaching over to tug at her shirt. Playfully, she smacked his hand.
“Drive- we're gonna be late.” She threw her purse into the back and held on for the ride.

Pictures littered the halls as they stepped foot into a whole group of kids. Kagome just wanted to get to class so she pushed through ignoring the glances at her. Inu caught a paper though from someone who was passing them out. “Kagome.”
“Yes?” She was still walking down the hall in a hurry.
“Kagome.” He said harshly. The girl spun around to him and nearly fell due to centrifugal force and the heaviness of her backpack.
“What?” Then she realized what he was holding up. Her heart clenched. It was one of her pictures of him, one that had been candidly drawn while he had been changing in gym. One that had been in an older sketchbook.
One he, or anyone for that matter, knew nothing about.
“When did you draw this?” He blinked, once. Twice. Thrice. Time to come clean.
She sighed and took the paper from him. “I've drawn you a lot. More than you can imagine.”
“And this?” He pointed to the words at the bottom of the paper.
-Inuyasha- She obsessed over him and now she has him, isn't that cute? Someone's a stalker. Kagome has been for quite some time, since fifth grade I would say.-
Kagome nearly lost it. Shaking her head she turned away. “Isn't it cute?” Tears came to her eyes. “I don't obsess. You are a good subject matter. You're perfect. You're…”
His lips met hers, silencing what was a confession. “I don't care. I don't want to know.” Inu smiled down at her, with grace. He could understand her even now, when her biggest secret was out. “I would, however, like to see these pictures.”
She blushed, and swallowed hard. Shaking her head, she looked away from him for an instant. “There's hundreds.” He eyes flickered back up to him.
“Then you'll have to show them to me in sections.” Smiling down at her, he nodded. “Now, time to find out who did this.”
“I already have a hunch.”

During lunch, the four headed to the art room, where it would be quiet and they could talk about an attack plan. Before they got there though, Kikyou came into sight.
The football team was coming down one side of the hall, towards the group and they knew something was going down because they stopped dead in their tracks. No teachers were in sight, which was a good thing because hell was about to break loose. Instantly, Sango stood out- putting Kagome behind her she rushed forward.
“You Bitch.” Sango's hand darted for Kikyou's hair and then her throat when her hair fell too far.
Kikyou tried to back up but she hit wall, Sango holding her there easily. “I didn't do anything!”
“Don't talk. I know what you did and it's cruel. Demeaning really. I've hated your guts since the day your stench entered the halls of this school, but now I have a personal reason to come after you.” Sango slammed her head into the wall with a small move.
Kikyou squeaked as her head hit. “I didn't do it.” Sango had hold of her shirt, and slung her across the hall into the opposite wall.
“Bull…” Sango hissed as Miroku got a hold of her and pulled her back.
“Not now, not yet.” He whispered. “Everyone back off.” He hauled Sango away from the scene.
Kagome glanced over at Kikyou, who had slid down the wall. The standing girl turned to her full on and then crouched. “You see, unlike you, I have friends when I need them.” Kagome returned to her full height. “Pathetic little tramp.”
Stepping back and away, her and Inu joined Miroku and Sango in the art room. “Little skeese. She needs to watch her back, or I'll put a knife in it.”
“Sango.” Kagome whispered. “She used to be my best friend- and now you are. That's a big enough knife.” Pulling her hair tie from it's place she shook her head to let the strands fall aimlessly. “We need to start something big-”
Inuyasha almost laughed. “I think that plan has already begun.”
They all glanced at him and then nodded in agreement.
