Kagomes alarm went off at half past seven. Annoyed she threw it in a drawer and forced herself up. Her first class didn't start till one but she had errands to run for her mom before then.

Kagome showered ate breakfast and was out the door before eight. After running from the grocery store, to the dry cleaners, and finally the book store, Kagome decided to finish her morning of with some coffee in a small Café on the way home. Kagome had just settled into a booth. Before she could look at a menu she heard.

“Hey Kagome mind if I join you”?

Already knowing her answer Hojo sat in front of a tired looking kagome.

“Wow you look tired! Early classes”?

Kagome gave Hojo a half hearted smile. “ My classes don't start until one today. I just had errands to run”.

“Well it looks to me like you didn't sleep last night”. Hojos voice was concerned.

“I never sleep on the night of the new moon. It's just an old habit”. Kagome remembering the dangers of a new moon.

“Just one of the many things I love about you”. Hojo replied contently.

Kagome lifted her head a little to look right at him. This wasn't a new development. When a shook up Kagome came back three years ago it was Hojo who tried the hardest to pick her up. She was failing school and she only had the summer to catch up before there senior year. Luckily with his help Kagome was Able to catch up and even attend the escalating University. Hojo confessed his feelings the day they graduated. Kagome owed a lot to Hojo, but she had to reject him and let him know her heart was some where else and she wasn't sure if she could ever love some one else that way again. Hojo was surprisingly understanding, and as the next two years passed they found themselves becoming best friends.

When they had finished there coffee Kagome gathered her things and headed towards the door. Hojo close behind grabbed her by the arm.

“Wait. I have a favor to ask you please”.

Kagome stopped and gave Hojo her full attention. “O.k. what is it”? She asked Hojo who now had his hands together in a begging manor.

“My parents are coming to visit me this weekend. They want to meet my girlfriend”. Kagomes expression was unreadable. Hojo was afraid to lift his head.

“Why did you tell your parents that you have a girlfriend”? Kagome asked.

“Because they keep trying to set me up with the match maker and I want to find my own love in life. My mom said she would stop doing this if I already had some one. So I told her I did”.

Kagome couldn't refuse She owed Hojo her whole career. While her other friends were to busy to help save her he was there.

“Sure why don't you all come to my house for dinner Sunday night. My mom can cook dinner then they will think were serious enough to leave you alone right”?

“Thank you so much Kagome, this means the world to me” Hojo hugged her tight and Kagome accepted the warm thank you he offered.

An alarm went off on Hojos watch.

“AH!! It's already eleven already. My first class is at noon. I'll call you about the time later ok kagome”!

Kagome waved until Hojo was out of sight. She thought to herself He's not such a bad guy. Maybe with some more time she may end up loving him in the end.

Kagome reached home shortly after five thirty. After eating dinner she sat with her mom and planed out the meal they would serve on Sunday. When all the plans were made and times were set kagome headed up to her room to do home work. She couldn't keep her mind on her work. Her gaze kept drifting to the small shed that the well stood in sealed away from the feudal world.

“What are you doing tonight? Are you happy? Did you get every thing you wished for”? Kagome forced herself back to her work

On the other side of the well a sleeping inuyasha who was leaning against the well Sneezed.

“Shit, some one must be talking about me”.

Miroku approached Inuyasha.

“How long do you plan to wait this time”? He asked

“until the day I feel that seal shatter. I'll wait here for her, and when the seal breaks I'm going to take her back”.
