The two weeks went by in a flash and suddenly they were only down to one more day. Kagome and Hojo had taken that day off from school to help with the finishing touches. Kagome and Hojo hadn't seen each other that much since the night of the proposal. Hojo couldn't help but think something was weighing heavy on kagomes mind.

They had been cleaning the temple nonstop trying to prepare things for the wedding. Kagomes grandfather had been boxing up old things around the grounds to help make room. Hojo trying to be as helpful as possible took the box from the old man.

“Where should I put this box”? He asked.

“The shed is all full”. The old man thought about it.

“Put it in the well house. It should be ok in there”.

Hojo made his way down the stairs. As he approached the well he noticed an arrow sticking in the well cover. He dropped the box in the corner and examined the arrow a bit more.

“Hmm is that just a plain arrow I wonder what it's sticking in there for”.

Hojo let his curiosity get the best of him and he pulled out the arrow. Holding it a little closer to his face he determined that it was simply an arrow. He noticed it was getting darker and decided he had better go look for kagome. He sat the arrow on the well again, he had no Idea he had just broken Kagomes seal

Inuyasha had been helping Kaede gather wood when Miroku came running to him. “Inuyasha! Kagomes seal.. It's been broke”

Inuyasha dropped the wood he had been carrying and took of running for the well where he didn't hesitate to jump in. Before he knew it he was on the other side climbing the ladder and lifting the lid.

Inuyasha emerged from the well house. He stayed hidden in the shadows for a few minutes longer. There were quite a few people leaving the temple.

“What in the hell is going on around here”?

Inuyasha noticed the temple was decorated and the people who were leaving were making a fuss about time. After the way was clear Inuyasha mad his way to kagomes Window. He peaked inside her window to see if she was there but all he saw was a man. The man was looking at a locket on kagomes desk. He had a strange look on his face. There was a sound like a door opening and the man put the locket back in the desk.

“Hojo did you need to talk to me”?

Inuyasha looked a little further in and saw a woman standing in the doorway. She looked like Kagome but she seemed taller and she had longer hair. It had been three years since he had last saw her. He never once thought of how she might have changed. They began to talk again and Inuyasha shook himself out of his daze and listened to what they were saying.

“My mother kind of rushed this whole thing. I hope you're not having any regrets”.

Hojo seemed to be preparing for the worst. Kagome smiled.

“If I didn't want to I wouldn't have agreed to marry you in the first place”.

Kagomes mother was taking one last look at the temple before the wedding when she noticed a young man outside Kagomes room. She moved a bit closer. He had his head in his hands but there was mo mistake about it was Inuyasha. After a long while he slowly jumped down from the window. As he was walking back to the well house kagomes mother felt she couldn't just let him go.

“She doesn't love him”. Kagomes mother stepped out from behind a tree in clear view for Inuyasha to see who was speaking.

“Feh Why do I care who she loves and who she wants to be with”. Inuyasha kept moving toward the small house.

“ She's only marrying Hojo because she thinks you chose some one named Kikyo over her. She never got over you and she is lying to herself now. She's getting married tomorrow morning, I just thought you might want to know the truth”.

Inuyasha stopped and watched Kagomes mother move back toward the house. “Tomorrow morning hmm I might just have to come wish her luck”. And with that said Inuyasha jumped back down the well.
