InuYasha Fan Fiction ❯ Hidden Past, Hidden Self ❯ Hostage ( Chapter 34 )
[ Y - Young Adult: Not suitable for readers under 16 ]
I do not own any of the InuYasha characters mentioned in this fanfic. I do, however, own Kane-Sakura and Setsuna and my friends own Mika and Nakura (Steph), Michi and Ori (Nicky), and Yuki and Akira (Danielle).
Hello again. Just a quick note. I'm going on vacation from December 16 to December 24, so I won't be around to type this out. Hopefully, I'll find enough time to write the Christmas chapter (coming next). If you already know this because of the last chapter, I apologize. My mind has been busy these past few weeks. Thanks again to all my readers. Please feel free to leave a review (I'd really appreciate it).
Chapter 34: Hostage
“Setsuna, help!” Kane screamed as Akira ascended into the heavens.
The Neko's eyes turned from emerald to the color of a raging fire and prepared to attack. “Fury of…”
Akira turned his big head to look at him. “Do that, and your mate and child will perish. If you really want to her back, you'll come find me.” Akira called out as he accelerated with a mighty beat of his wings. “I'll await your appearance!”
Setsuna watched helplessly as his wife was carried away by his worst enemy. `Kane, I should've known he'd try to take my mate again.' Anger burning deep in his belly, he rushed off in the direction Akira had taken. `I will get you back Kane. I can't live without you.'
Mika ran from behind him and watched his back. “Where's he going?”
Michi caught up and started huffing to catch her breath again. “Mika, what's the big idea?” She clung to her staff as she huffed over and over again. “We left Kane and Setsuna alone so they could talk…Hey, where are they?” She looked around for the newly weds.
“Setsuna just ran off that way, and Kane wasn't with him.” She looked back as Ori and Nakura approached. “I'd heard something from back here so I came back to investigate and she was gone.”
“Mika, what's the big idea?” Ori asked as he stopped walking. “You left without…”
“Kane's missing and Setsuna went after her. Ori, take Michi with you and go find InuYasha. Me and Nakura will follow Setsuna and help him.”
Nakura looked at Mika. “How'd she go missing?”
“I don't know. But we're about to find out.” She started running in the direction Setsuna had gone and Nakura kept up right behind her.

“Stupid bird brain!! Put me down!” Kane yelled as Akira soared above Feudal Japan.
“You are my hostage and until Setsuna agrees to do battle with me, you won't be going anywhere.” He replied coolly.
She growled and wriggled her arms in an attempt to gain freedom. “You bloody bastard, let me go!”
He sighed. “All right, if you insist.”
“Damn right I want it…” But he let her go mid sentence. She fell down to the earth, careening ever faster towards the solid ground that would kill her or at least injure her enough that she'd never awaken. She looked up for a brief, but frightening, second and saw the sun shining behind the clouds, but no giant bird. Tears filled her eyes, thinking this was it for her and her unborn children.
But at the last second, she landed on the soft, feathery back of a bird. She held the feathers with tight fists and nearly let out a sigh of relief. “What…what was that for?”
“You told me to let you go and I did.” He said as he soared back into the sky. “That'll teach you not to be so vague.”
“Vague my ass.” She let out a strangled cry, then sobbed into his neck feathers until they were soaking.
Akira said nothing the entire time until her sobs had calmed down into hiccups. He sighed again. “Listen, I'm sorry for scaring you. I wasn't going to let you hit the ground; I do not intend to take any woman's life, especially when she's increasing.” He scowled. “There'd be too much innocent blood on my hands for me to remain living on a clean conscience.”
Kane's eyes softened as a solitary tear raced down her cheek. “You know, you're not such a bad person. You're actually quite noble.”
He only stared straight ahead. “Don't take this the wrong way; I still want to fight Setsuna.”
“But why?!” Kane asked furiously. “What happened between you two was a long time ago, why don't you just forget about it?!”
“Because Atsuko was supposed to be my mate!” Akira yelled. “Setsuna stole her from me and…” He stopped, fearing he'd said too much.
Silence passed between the two for a few moments, until Kane spoke up. “You loved her.”
“Yes, I did. Does that answer your question?” He answered heatedly. “I want revenge for her; she wouldn't have died if she'd stayed with me.”
She closed her eyes. “And you never found anyone else to love?”
“Does it matter?”
“Yes it does.” Kane smiled and raised her face to the sun's warmth. “A long time ago, I was engaged to a man named Trowa. I had thought that he loved me, so I loved him back. Then he raped me.” The memories came flooding back and she looked down at the bird beneath her. “Setsuna was there for me the whole time afterwards and it wasn't much later that we fell in love and got married. The truth be told, I think I loved him the entire time I'd known him.”
Akira started descending towards a cliff in the hill side. “Nothing you say is going to change my mind. We fight, and this time it is I who will beat him.” He stated finally. “I don't want to hurt you, so don't try to run away when I land on the ledge. The only way off is through flight.”
“Oh don't worry; I'm not suicidal.”
He landed gently on the cliff edge and let Kane hop off of him. Once she was a safe distance away, he switched to his human form. “Ah, much better. Flying always takes a lot out of me.” He stretched his arms up in the air. As he did, he walked to the cave that was carved into the cliff's wall. “Hey, I'm back.” He called.
A girl's voice came echoing out of the cave. “What took you so long? I thought you said you'd be back in an hour.”
Kane stepped up behind Akira. “I thought you'd said it didn't matter if you'd found a mate or not after Atsuko?” She looked up at his face.
He blushed. “She's not my mate. She came looking for me.”
The girl came out of the cave, her long brown hair swaying in the breeze and her brown eyes widening when she saw Kane behind Akira. She froze, looking at the hanyou in surprise. “Kane-Sakura, is that you?”
“Y-Yuki?” Kane asked, moving forward and tears building in her eyes. “Oh Yuki!” She ran for her half-sister and squeezed her waist as she cried.
“What are you doing here?” Yuki stroked her friend's hair and glared up at Akira, who turned away with a guilty smile.
Kane sniffled. “He kidnapped me and took me here!” She stood and looked her half-sister in the eye. “Speaking of which, what are you doing here?”
“Um, well…” She looked around, but only found Akira to stare at. Her face reddened in anger. “You baka! I thought when you said you were going out that you were checking something! You said nothing about kidnapping my half-sister!”
Akira faced her again with strength renewed. “I didn't know she was your half-sister. Even if I did, I took her away from my enemy, Setsuna, so I could get even with him.” He folded his arms over his chest. “My idea didn't work out as planned though. She's already increasing, so I couldn't…”
“Increasing?” Yuki looked at Kane with wondering eyes. “You're pregnant?”
She blushed. “Yeah, it seems that way. We got married one month ago because of it.” Frowning, she turned away from her sibling. “Don't be mad Yuki, but we had to do the ceremony without you.”
“How far are you?” She asked.
“Three months. With twins.”
“Twins?” Yuki didn't know whether to be surprised and gasp or congratulate her half-sister. “You're expecting twins?”
Akira cut in before Kane could respond. “Jeez, married only one month and she's expecting twins.” Akira laughed heartily. “Setsuna is such a bastard! As far as I know, he's never wanted to be a father!” He stopped laughing when Yuki glared at him and he heard Kane's gasp. “What I mean is…”
Yuki only shook her head. “Don't listen to him Kane. He doesn't always tell the truth.”
Kane nodded, but the doubt had wormed its way into her heart. Shaking off the fear, she looked at Yuki again. “What are you doing here anyway?”
She knew she couldn't avoid the question a second time without getting a complaint from Kane, so she led Kane to the cave. When Akira tried to follow, she glowered at him and he backed off to sit on the edge of his cliff and gripe. “Have a seat Kane. There's something about him you need to know.”
Yuki took a deep breath and began. “I know you remember my story, of how I came to be. But a good chunk of my life was a blank slate. I found out from a stray youkai that there was this bird clan near the place I was raised. The youkai had said that this village often took in infants that were abandoned, so I decided to check them out to see if I'd been raised there for a while.
“As it turns out, I was raised there for five years, and I was five years old when my adoptive parents in my home village had found me on their door step. And Akira over there was only a small boy when I'd been found. Yet he remembered who I was when I found him up here.”
“Where's the rest of the bird clan?” Kane asked.
“Deceased. The giant wild fire that burned my village to the ground and made me flee for safety also killed most of the bird youkai. The ones that survived didn't live long, except for Akira. The reason he lived was because something evil kept him alive. It lives within him and feeds off of his desire to kill Setsuna. I'm trying to find a way to purify his soul, but to no avail. It appears only a miko can do such a thing.” Yuki sighed as she stared at him. His blue hair with a short pony tail swayed in the breeze as he sulked in the sunset.
Kane read her signs and smiled. “You love him, don't you?” She teased.
She jumped and looked away from Akira, blush pinking her cheeks. “N-no, of course not. That would be silly.”
“Then why are you trying to help him?”
“He needs my help, Kane. That evil spirit is what drives him to madness whenever he remembers Setsuna and Atsuko. If I don't exterminate it, he could kill your husband!”
Without warning, a fireball flew into the air and almost hit Akira as he lay on the ground with his feet dangling over the edge. He quickly scooted back and smirked. “Heh! He's here.”
Yuki dashed over to him and Kane followed suit. “No Akira, you can't do this! Give Kane back to Setsuna and forget about him!”
Kane leaned over the edge of the burned cliff to see if she could find her husband. She saw him and would've called out his name…if the ground under her hands hadn't suddenly given way. She lost her balance and tumbled forward off the cliff. “YUKI!!”
“Oh, Kami! Kane!” Yuki reached over the ledge, but missed her hand. “Hang on Kane, I'm going to put a barrier around you!” She called out as butterflies careened towards Kane's falling body.
The butterflies encircled her and created a bubble around her. Her bottom landed on the rounded base and she continued to fall. “This may be a barrier, but I still hate free-falling.” She said to herself. Looking up when a giant shadow passed over her, she saw Akira take off and come rushing towards her. But looking down, she saw Setsuna hold out his arms to catch her. She landed gently in his arms. Hugging his neck, she cried and kissed his hair as he handed her off to Mika.
“Wait, what're you doing?” Kane asked when she landed on Mika's back. “You can't possibly mean to…?”
Setsuna's eyes flared in red and orange color. “I have to Kane. He stole my mate and put you in harms way. He will not forget this.” He turned to look at her. “Mika, go! Get her away from here as fast as you can!”
“Right!” She said and sped off with Kane. “Hang on Kane, it might get a little bumpy!” She yelled over the howling of the wind as it picked up.
“Put me down! I can help him!” Kane yelled frantically.
“Your babies' lives are more important; now come on!” She continued running.
`There's gotta be a way that I can stop her and help Akira and Yuki! If we don't exterminate that evil spirit, then…' Her eyes widened. `Miko powers…I have miko powers.' She looked down at Mika as she ran and opened her mouth to sing. `This is the only way to stop her, it won't hurt her. It'll just put her to sleep.'
Sumiregusa Wild Violet
Sung in Japanese By: Enya English Translation
Mono no aware The poignancy of things
Murasaki iro no hana A purple flower
Haru no hana The blossoms of spring
To fuyu mo koyuki And the light snow of winter
Harahara How they fall
Shizen no bi kana The beauty of nature
Ah! Midori no ha to A green leaf and
Aki no iro Autumn colours
Kaze no koe The voice of the wind
Tori no saezuri The song of birds
Kanashii umi A sad sea
Yorokobino umi A joyful sea
Yama Mountains
Koishi Pebbles
Ayamegusa A wild iris
The lyrics of the song bubbled up from nowhere and Kane felt Mika slow. She sung the song with two voices, one in melody, the other in harmony. Mika's eyes glazed over and she fell to the ground. Kane flipped off of her and ran back towards where Setsuna was in the midst of battle with Akira. When she got there, she saw her husband in bad shape; he was bleeding from multiple wounds and he looked wind tossed. Nakura stood by, ready to step in if things got too out of hand. “Nakura!”
He turned and saw Kane running towards him. “Kane-Sakura, what are you doing here? You shouldn't have come back.” He tried to stop her, but she ran past him. “Kane! Where's Mika?”
“She's fine, I just put her to sleep with a song.” She turned to look at him. “I need you to take Setsuna away from here. I'm going to sing and cleanse Akira's body of the evil spirit that keeps his anger and hatred of my husband. I'm not sure how potent the song is to other demons if they're around, so please take him and run.” She looked away and smiled. “Get him away from the area as fast as possible.”
Nakura understood. Using his vines, he swept Setsuna up into the trees. “Hey, what the…?!” He struggled against the vines and looked down to see Kane advance on Akira. “Good God, Kane!” He yelled and struggled more. “Damn you Nakura, what the hell are you doing?!”
“She asked me to take you away. We must hurry, she's going to sing to purify the evil spirit within Akira that keeps his hatred fresh.” Nakura said monotonously. “I assure you, she knows what she's doing.”
Akira's wind swirled around her as she concentrated on splitting her voice into parts; a trick she'd never tried but knew she possessed. She opened her eyes to see the golden winged bird as it searched for Setsuna with blood thirsty red eyes. “You've lost your soul in the battle. Well Akira, I'm about to teach that devil a heavy lesson or two on taking over bodies that do not belong to him.” She knelt on the ground and brought her hands together in prayer. Her singing began:
Pax Deorum
By: Enya
…domineoveniteo sacramentumeodeo
Domineoveniteo sacramentumeodeo
Domineoveniteo sacramentumeodeo
Here was where her voice split into parts and a barrier of pure white surrounded her. It seemed impossible, but there were literally three separate verses all at the same time.
Athairarneam hdialinn…athairarneam hdialiom
Akira shuddered and turned into his human form as he fell to the ground. He screamed in agony, or the evil spirit screamed, as the white light surrounding Kane also surrounded him. Sweat poured from her forehead as she continued the song. As it slowed, so did Akira's screaming.
Omnem crede diem tibi diluxisse supremum
Omnem crede diem tibi diluxisse supremum
His body went limp and rose off of the ground as she completed the slow chant. The evil spirit flew out of his body and hovered above Akira as he descended. Kane picked up the tempo of the song and started the final chant.
Domine venite sacramentumeodeo (sacramentumedodeo)
Domine venite sacramentumeodeo (domineoveniteo)
(sacramentum) domine venite sacramentumeodeo
(Domine!) domine venite (sacramentum!) sacramentumeodeo eodeo
Sacramentumeodeo!
The song now done, Kane stood and walked over to the unconscious Akira, beads of sweat falling down her face. “The deed's been done; when he wakes, he'll no longer wish to take Setsuna's life.” She said wearily.
“Kane…” Yuki approached, arm trembling as she held it out to her friend. “You…you defeated the evil spirit?”
She nodded. “He'll be fine. I exorcised his soul of the spirit and he will no longer wish to harm Setsuna.” As if in response, he stirred and opened his eyes.
“Akira, are you all right?” Yuki knelt beside him and took his hand. It was cold, but it was warming fast in her hand.
“Yuki, I…I'm free. The spirit is gone.” He looked over at Kane, who was stumbling as she walked. “She saved my soul from being devoured by that evil spirit. He sat up and bowed his neck in thanks. “My gratitude, Lady Kane-Sakura.”
“Kane, what the hell do you think you're doing?!” Strong hands grabbed Kane's shoulders and spun her around to face him. Setsuna embraced her body with his arms and held her like there was no tomorrow. “You scared me so much, I…”
“Don't worry, I'm fine. I used my voice and sang.” Her weariness overcame her and she leaned into his embrace. “I'm so…sleepy.”
Setsuna swung her legs up into his arms and cradled her body to his. “Thank Kami you're all right.” He whispered as she slept in his arms. He nuzzled his face into her neck and licked her gently. Stealing a glance at her lower abdomen, he smiled happily at the little lump his babies made on his wife.
“Is she all right?” Akira asked hesitantly.
“She's just tired. I think it's best we head back for Kaeda's village so she can rest.” Setsuna held her closer as she slept. “Let's go.” He said as he walked away from Akira and Yuki.
“They're deeply in love, aren't they?” Akira asked innocently.
She nodded. “They are; don't you wish…?”
He cupped her face with his left hand. “I do; Yuki I honestly do.” Yuki's face turned red hot. “Perhaps in the future we'll be like that.”
“Stop that!” Yuki stood and walked away as Akira came to his feet. “You're making a big fool of yourself.”
`Yes, perhaps in the future we'll fall in love; but now is not the right time.' He thought as he caught up to Yuki and strode beside her.
***
The hot water felt good as Kane gingerly stepped into the hot springs. “Ahh…” She sighed, letting the warmth sink into her skin and chase away the night's nippy wind. Mika, Michi, and Yuki were all relaxing with her, scrubbing themselves with sponges and body wash. Grabbing her own body wash, Kane began to wash arms.
“Hey, Kane, do you still want to do that Christmas album?” Michi asked, rinsing off her hair in the waterfall that fed the hot springs. “I mean, if we hurry, we can finish it just in time for Christmas.”
Mika raised an eyebrow. “Won't people be sick of Christmas music by then?”
“Well,” Kane began. “We only have a little more to do on our first album, so we could start a new one on the same day.” She stopped washing to talk. “I already had some ideas picked out anyway, so we might as well.”
Yuki smiled. “Sorry I haven't been there to help with that. Is everything going okay?”
“Yeah, the release date is still December 9. But it's a good thing that you're back. With the Christmas album, we're gonna do it with the guys too.” Kane said nonchalantly.
“What?!” Mika exclaimed. “Why're they doing with us?”
“It's no big deal Mika.” Kane huffed. “It'll put less stress on us if the guys do half and we do half of the songs. Plus, I found some music from Trans Siberian Orchestra and got permission to do it a week ago. We'll need the guys to do it with us for the finale.”
“Makes sense.” Yuki stated. They were quiet for a while, until she spoke up again. “So how did InuYasha handle the 'twins' news?”
Kane sighed, remembering how he'd reacted. “Well…”
(Flashback, one hour ago)
Kane sat on the floor as Setsuna sat beside her, squeezing her hand for comfort and strength. `He's gonna find out eventually. It'll be better he finds out now and not when I visit with two infants instead of one.' She sighed, waiting for InuYasha to come in.
Moments later, he came in at last. He smiled at Kane a little and scowled at Setsuna. He huffed and sat down across from them. “Okay you two, what's this big news you have for me? It had better be worth my time.”
She looked her brother dead in the eyes, and took a deep breath for support. “InuYasha, we went to the doctor's a day ago and found out something about my pregnancy. Now, don't make a big deal out of this when I tell you.”
His eyes softened and his face scrunched up a tiny bit in worry. “Why, is something wrong? You're not sick or the baby isn't sick is it?”
“No, we're healthy; all three of us.” There, she'd said it…kind of.
InuYasha put a confused look on his face. “It's nice to know you and the pup are healthy, but I didn't need to know your husband was healthy too. Personally, he could be sick as a devil and I wouldn't care.”
`Dense, just like a man.' “The third person wasn't Setsuna. I'm…” She looked to Setsuna for reassurance. He nodded and she went on. “I'm pregnant with twins.”
InuYasha blinked. Then he leapt up so fast, he was nothing but a red and silver blur. Setsuna wasn't beside her anymore; instead he was pinned against the wall by his neck, InuYasha's hand gripping his windpipe with ferocity. “You bastard! I cant' believe you'd do that to my sister!” He squeezed harder and Setsuna struggled to breathe as his airway was cut off.
“InuYasha, let him go! No matter what we did, it happened all at once!” Kane pulled on his arm that was free, trying desperately to get through to her brother. “The twins were made at the exact same time, if not seconds apart!”
But his rage kept him deaf to his sister's pleas. “What do you have to say for yourself, cat-boy?!” He bellowed.
As his fist tightened, Kane knew she wasn't reaching him. So, she sighed and said, “Sit.” He let go of Setsuna and hit the ground. And when he tried to get up again to strangle the wheezing cat, she only said, “Sit.” Once again, he dug his own grave and ate dirt. Or floor boards anyway. She repeated the process until he didn't move anymore, sitting him a grand total of fifteen times.
When he'd finally calmed down, InuYasha sat up and glared at Setsuna and Kane as she helped him with his bruises on his neck. “Kane, are you sure you want this?”
She turned and started her lecture. “Like I have any choice, InuYasha! I don't have a saying in whether or not I want both of them! What matters is that I'm healthy and the babies are healthy. You shouldn't care whether I'm pregnant with one or thirty, you should only worry about my health and safety!” Tears gathered in her eyes. “And if you ever harm my mate again like that, I swear I'll do much worse than subdue you fifteen times!”
Setsuna looked at her and put a hand on her shoulder to calm her. “Kane, it's okay.” She turned her face to him again and he smiled. “He was just doing what he thought necessary to protect his sister.”
“I know, but…” She choked out a sob. “Setsuna, you were…”
InuYasha sighed and his face softened again. “I'm sorry Kane. I shouldn't have overreacted like that.” He closed his eyes and leaned back against the hut's wall. “But Setsuna's right, I was only trying to protect you…from what, I don't know.” He smiled slightly. “I hope you're pups are healthy and beautiful.”
Kane only sobbed harder. Setsuna took her into his arms and stroked her hair. “Go take a bath. InuYasha and I will have a chat and make things better, okay?”
She nodded, tears streaming down her face. “I love you; both of you. If anything were to happen to either of you…” She trailed off. Setsuna released her and she walked out of the hut to find the other girls.
(End Flashback)
When she'd finished telling them of the incident, the girls were all gathered around her and intently listening. “Yeah, so it was basically a big mess. But they should be figuring stuff out.”
Yuki smiled. “That's a relief; if they don't sort things out, they'll never settle their differences.”
“Yeah, I guess that whole thing has one good side.” Kane sighed, wincing when she started washing her breasts. “Damn, being pregnant is really grating on my nerves.”
“Why, what's wrong?” Michi asked.
“Well, my breasts are starting to get really sensitive, especially around my nipples. I'm hormonally imbalanced and I constantly feel like crying.”
“That's normal.” Mika stated. “Those things will pass once you reach your second trimester. You'll feel much better, I promise.”
Kane blinked. “Sounds like you know your stuff, Mika.”
“Well, yeah,” She blushed. “When I still lived with the pack, I often helped deliver pups and cared for the pregnant females. I know what they go through.”
“So,” Michi began, turning suddenly red. “How's your sex life been?”
“N-nani?” Kane also blushed and looked at Michi. “Why are you asking me that?”
“Well, I'm just wondering if that's still happening. I mean, has Setsuna ever seemed reluctant to have intercourse?”
Kane recalled the night before and noticed that he had seemed reluctant to get him to do anything at all. In fact, it was him who had insisted they go to bed right away so she could rest. “Now that you mention it, he was a little apprehensive the night before. He was too careful; like he thought I was fragile glass or something. Like he could hurt the babies.”
Mika snorted. “The female body was made for things like that, he shouldn't need to be careful until you're much further along.”
“I tried telling him that, but wouldn't listen to…” Kane paused. “Why am I telling you guys about this?”
“Because we care; we want to make sure that you're relationship is strong.” Yuki said.
“How would you feel if I asked about your sex lives?” They all blushed. “Right; so from now on, my sex life is mine and Setsuna's business.” She stated hotly.
“What does it matter anyways?” Mika asked with sarcasm dripping from her voice. “Michi here is the only other one here with a sex life.”
“Hey!” Michi yelled. “I'm sure it won't be long before you and Nakura start having sex!”
Suddenly, Nakura poked his head out from a bush, where he'd been keeping watch for the girls. “What about me?”
All four of them screamed and tried to hide themselves in the water. Mika was the only one who decided to find the biggest rock she could pick up and throw it at him. His eyes went wide when he caught a glimpse of Mika's breasts…and saw the giant rock hurtling toward him. He ducked, and managed to only get a scrape from the rock hitting his back.
“Jeez Mika, you don't have to get violent with me! I was just wondering why you were talking about me!” Nakura exclaimed from behind his hiding place.
“Yeah right perv! The day I believe that is the day I become pregnant with your child!” Mika yelled out.
“We could take care of that right now if you want.” Nakura stated jokingly.
During the time he taken to speak to her and answer her rhetorical statement, she'd gotten dressed and was now standing next to him, her hair dripping wet yet. “What did you just say?”
`Oh crap…' He smiled sweetly. “Come now Mika. Let us go into the forest and mate like wild rabbits. I'm sure you'll find carrying my child will be your benefit.”
Giggles were heard from the springs and Mika's face only got redder from anger and embarrassment. “That's not funny, you bastard!” Before she could grab him by the neck to strangle him, he slipped into a plant to escape her wrath. “Get back here, you filthy pervert! I'm not finished with you yet!”
Kane only laughed harder as she got out of the water to dry herself. “Mika, you can get him later. Right now, I think we should get the others and go back to the future. We need to practice our Christmas songs for the album.”
Mika huffed, a slight blush still enflaming her cheeks. “He deserves more than death for that comment. He deserves castration and dick removal.” She smirked. “And then death.”
The girls all laughed even harder as Mika stomped off towards the village.
