for the reviews! I know I haven’t updated this story in a while and I’m finally getting to it. Sesshy is going to be kind of mean in this chapter but I can’t make him nice yet.
Disclaimer: I don’t own any Inuyasha characters. If I did, Kagome would be with Sesshoumaru.
I don’t know what people in Japan eat, so I’m just having them eat the things I know.

Chapter four
Meetings and Midoriko?
Rin and Shippo knew the perfect person to help them get Kagome and Sesshoumaru together. ‘We need Souta to help us! He should be in the room across from Kagome’s. Rin can take us there.’ Shippo thought excitedly. “Rin-chan, can you take us to the room across from okaasan’s?” Rin looked over to Shippo and nodded. She grabbed his hand and led him to Souta’s room. Souta was leaning against the chair that was facing the large window. You could see one of the many gorgeous gardens from his room.
Rin opened the door and smiled when she saw Souta. Shippo ran to him and caught his attention by waving his hand in front of his face. “Rin and Shippo-chan have a great idea Souta-chan. We want to get Kagome-okaasan together with Sesshoumaru-sama. That way, we have a family and we can get them to like each other.” Rin said happily. Souta thought that this was a good idea. ‘Sesshoumaru would be better for my oneesan.’
‘He treats her better than Inuyasha ever did.’ “Okay you guys. I’ll help you. It’s a good idea.” he said softly. All three of them had a sly glint in their eyes that would scare some people. ‘This is going to be good. We need to get oneesan to stop thinking about Inuyasha and this is the best way to do it.’ Souta started to plan how to get his sister with Sesshoumaru but couldn’t think of a good plan.
“Rin-chan, do you know someone that can help us with our plan?” Souta said while looking at the two small children. Rin thought about it for a while then nodded. “Rei-sama can help us! She helps Rin with her studies and she said she used to be Sesshomaru-sama’s nanny!” Rin said excitedly. Souta and Shippo nodded happily and both smiled. “Lead the way Rin-chan. We need to see Rei-sama!” Rin grabbed Shippo’s hand and led him out the door.

Souta followed the chattering pair down long beautifully decorated hallways and Stopped at a large set of doors. The doors had a snow leopard staring at the moon carved in them. Rin knocked on the door and waited for it to open. It opened and a pretty youkai female appeared in the doorway. “Hello Rin. I see that you brought some friends with you. It’s not time for your studies yet, do you need me for something?” Rin nodded and she led them into her room for them to talk.
They sat on chairs that were in front of the large window that led to her balcony. Souta saw that Shippo and Rin didn’t know how to put their question into words and did it for them. “Can you help us get my neesan and Sesshoumaru together? He treats her better than Inuyasha ever did. They both need someone because they are alone.” Rei looked at Souta and her eyes widened slightly. ‘Another human? I thought that the only human that Sesshomaru would let inside the castle would be Rin
There’s a kitsune kit here too.’ she sighed and closed her eyes for a moment. “And who is your sister little one? What is your name?” This brought Rei back to his attention.. “My name is Souta. Kagome’s my sister. Oneesan, Shippo and I can’t go back to the group we were traveling with before because Inuyasha was treating us badly.
We can’t go home because my mother and grandfather were killed.” he said the last part of the sentence very quietly. Just thinking about it brought tears to his eyes and he sobbed in anguish. Rei got up and hugged him, trying to comfort him. “It’s ok Souta-chan. You won’t be alone. You have your sister and all of us. I know that you loved them dearly. They wanted the best for you and your sister.” she whispered softly.
Rin and Shippo came up to the two and hugged his legs, trying to comfort him as well. After a while Souta stopped sobbing and they let him go. Rei smiled slyly. “I’ll help you get Kagome and Sesshomaru-sama together on one condition. I have to meet her myself.” the trio nodded and smiled. “It’s dinnertime so I’ll lead you to the dining room.
They were amazed to see Kagome glaring at Sesshomaru and he didn’t do anything about it.

Kagome then started to yell at the stotic demon lord. “How dare you call me weak! You don’t know what I can do and you have no right saying that! I have lived through many things that would have killed another person if they were alone. I’m not weak at all. I know when to ask for help when I need it. You see that as a weakness. I see it as a strength. I know you call me weak because I am human, but you don’t know what this human can do!” Shippo, Souta, Rin and Rei came up to the two and sighed when they saw that Kagome wanted to yell at Sesshoumaru some more.
Sesshomaru growled softly and grabbed Kagome by the neck. Rei Knew where this was going to lead up to and had Rin and Shippo go back to their rooms. They protested and Rei sighed. “I will get Lord Sesshoumaru to put Kagome down. I need you to go to your rooms.” they nodded and walked out of the room. “When I get Lord Sesshoumaru to put Kagome down, try to calm her down Souta. She looks very upset.” All that Souta could see on his sister‘s face was cold fury and no other emotion.
He nodded and watched Rei walk up to the arguing pair. Rei tried to get Sesshomaru to let go of Kagome but it was no use. “Listen girl, you will not raise your voice to me. I could have left you there but instead I have taken you to my home to teach Rin. I will expect you to start teaching Rin how to read and write. Many teachers have tried to do this but they were not successful. I have to go and patrol my lands you will watch Rin and the kit.” He dropped Kagome and walked out of the room.

Rei rushed over to Kagome and helped her up. She looked surprised when she saw Souta helping her up too. “I thought that you were in your room Souta. Why are you here? And who is this?” Kagome asked and pointed to Rei. “I am Rei milady. Your brother is here because it is dinnertime. I need to get Shippo and Rin so we can eat. She nodded and smiled slightly when her brother hugged her waist. She kneeled down and hugged him, trying to calm down. Rei smiled at the sight of the two siblings hugging and walked out of the room to get the two children.
When she closed the door she heard the whispers of the two children. They were very close by and she could smell their scents coming from just a little bit down the hall. “I know you two are there. It’s time to eat so come here little ones.” Shippo and Rin heard Rei’s voice and smiled at the thought of food. They were pretty hungry. They came up to Rei and grabbed her hands. “Let’s go eat!” Shippo said and his stomach growled loudly in agreement. Rin and Rei laughed and Rei opened the door. Kagome and Souta were already sitting at the table and were talking quietly.
The trio walked to the table and sat down. After they sat down servants came out and placed dishes filled with different kinds of food in front of them. Kagome had oden, rice, a pair of chopsticks and berry juice in front of her. Shippo and Souta had the same thing but instead of having berry juice, they had water. Rin had sushi, rice, pudding and berry juice in front of her. Rei had miso soup, rice, a spoon, and a cup of water in front of her. Rin, Souta, Shippo, and Kagome chirped “Thanks for the food!” and dug in.

After eating all of the food in front of them, Kagome, Shippo, Rin, and Souta were very full and a little sleepy. “Rin, Shippo, and Souta, you need to go and take a bath. I’m going to my room to take a nap, then I’ll take a bath. Can you show the boys where the hot springs are Rin-chan?” Rin nodded and grabbed the boy’s hands and ran out the door. She sighed and laid her head on her crossed arms. ‘Kaasan….ojiisan…why did you have to die? Souta and I miss you a lot. Souta’s all I have left of our family now…’ Rei sensed Kagome’s sorrow and came up to the chair she was sitting on. She had her sit up and gave her a much needed hug.
“You’re thinking of what happened to your family aren’t you Kagome-chan. Souta told me what happened and I know that they wanted to be with you in your time of need. You aren’t alone. You have your brother and all of us. I can tell that you loved your family dearly just by watching your actions with your brother.” Kagome nodded and smiled softly as she thought of the good times she had when her family was whole. She sighed softly and fell asleep in Rei’s comforting embrace.
“You’re very strong for what you have been through. Many would have died from sorrow. I admire your strength. I'm going to get to know you better. You seem like a very nice girl.” she whispered softly.
Rei sighed and called for Akito using telepathy. ^Akito, come to the dining room, I need you for something.^ Rei heard a small laugh and felt amusement through the link. ^I’ll be right there you bird brain.^ The door opened and an ice inuyoukai walked inside. He had black hair with blue streaks, blue eyes and it was apparent that he was a guard because of the spear and sword strapped to his waist. “I need you to take Kagome-san to her room. Her room is across the hall from Rin-chan’s.” He nodded and picked Kagome up bridal style and went out the door. “A bath does sound good right now.” Rei opened the door and walked to her personal hot springs.

Akito reached Kagome’s room and was surprised when she snuggled closer to him mumbling “So warm.” He regained his composure and opened the door. The blankets were at the foot of the bed so he laid Kagome’s head on the pillows and covered her up. ’Sesshomaru-sama never had any one else brought to his castle except Rin. I have a feeling that this is going to get interesting with her here.’ He walked out of the room and headed toward the dojo, he had the itch to train.

Kagome was going through her fond memories of her family and was surprised when everything went blank.
“It’s good to remember the good times you had with your family, but you also need to move on so you can deal with the things that are going to happen.”
Kagome was surprised to hear the soft voice and wondered who it was. “Who are you? Why are you in my dreams?”
The person stepped out of the shadows and Kagome gasped. “You look familiar…”
“Midoriko??!!!”
