It was 8 am when Sesshomaru and Rin arrived at the hospital. Sesshomaru checked in with the receptionist in the ICU ward and asked that doctor that was attending Jun be paged and sent to him. After meeting with the doctor and learning the Jun was actually improving though he would most like not make a full recovery, they were being hopeful for a few more months or a year or so. Rin went looking for coffee as Sesshomaru headed into the waiting room. He saw Miroku sitting off to the side staring at his right hand and flexing it.
“Miroku, what is troubling you?” At the mention of his name is head snapped up and his violet eyes met the gold of his great-grandfather.
“What do you mean?”
“I can smell you are worried and concerned about something but does not seem like it is Jun.”
“I… I’m not really sure.”
“Hn.”
Miroku took a deep breath and flexed his hand a few more times, then released a big sigh.
“I turned 18 last month.”
“This Sesshomaru is aware of when your birthday is.”
“Really Sesshy, ‘this Sesshomaru’ haven’t you tired of saying that.” Said Rin as she joined them with her French vanilla cappuccino, at which Sesshomaru merely commented with another ‘hn’, ignoring him she questioned Miroku, “What about your birthday dear?”
“I haven’t found Sango yet, I’m always 18 or younger when we meet.”
“Honey you still have another year of being 18 there is still time, how old were you when you first met her?”
Miroku seemed to think about this and stared off into space, “Hmmm. It was about 3 months before the 19th birthday. Why do you ask?”
“Because yesterday was Kagome’s 15th birthday, it has started.”
A man wearing a white lab coat over clean scrubs came through the door and walked to the over to the small group. “Mr. and Mrs. Taisho?”
“Yes?” Sesshomaru said rising to greet the doctor.
“I heard you are inquiring about a patient of mine, but before I say anything I must know how you are related.”
“There is no need for that,” reaching into is inside pocket of his suit jack he pulled out envelope and handed it to he doctor, “that contains a full power of attorney for Sasaki
Jun.”
The doctor took the envelope and examined the document, “Yes this seems in order, now what would you like to know of Mr. Sasaki’s condition?”
Sesshomaru and the doctor proceeded to talk of Jun’s status and make arrangements for him to moved to a highly skilled nursing facility will 24 hour care, if he should improve enough to do so.
Location: Sengoku Jidai
The early morning light streamed through the window, hitting the girl from the future square in the face. It was a dream she thought a strange and weird dream. No more leftover oden before bed she thought. Slowly opening one eye, she realized with horror it was no dream. Shifting she stretched and looked around.
Inuyasha watched as Kagome moved on her pallet, he quickly took in a deep breath of scent as it shifted to him. ‘Wonderful’ he thought. ‘No one should be allowed to smell that good.’ Her scent told him many things; she was younger than Kikyo had been, if he had to guess he would say about 14 or 15 years old. She was innocent that was not surprising since she had miko powers, but then again it was because she was untrained she should be married by now. He dissected the layers of similar scent on her, there was a mother, an old man probably a grandfather, a small boy likely a little brother, and a cat. Her scent of fear crashed into him when he saw her eyes open then it replaced by disappointment. She must have thought it was a dream he realized.
“Morning, Inuyasha.” Kagome greeted with a smile.
“Keh!”
“Is that your favorite word?”
Inuyasha cocked an eyebrow and muttered another, “Keh.”
Kaede walked in with a cup of milk in her small pitcher of milk, “Morning child, did ye sleep well?”
“Yes I guess I did. Where did you get the milk from Kaede?”
“Earlier this morning one of the villagers came and got me to help with his sick daughter. He had go about his chores while I tended to her, he was milking one of the cows he has to take to a woman who has been too sick to produce milk for her baby. He had more than she could use today so he gave me some.” She said as she added it to a pot of cooked rice and threw in some dried fruit and berries. As soon as the mixture was heated through out she handed a bowl to Kagome then one to Inuyasha, before settling down to eat.

“Inuyasha! The crow has reformed!” Kagome yelled across the river.
Just than the boy, she had just saved started to scream. She saw the foot of the crow holding onto his shirt and jumping in the air like it was trying to rejoin with the rest of the crow. Seeing the bow and arrow in the villager’s hand, she had the brilliant idea to tie the foot to the arrow to help it get there.
Suddenly the arrow struck home. The crow disappeared and then there was a bright glow in the sky. Just then bright pink streaks of light raced across the sky.
Inuyasha jumped the river, “Good shot, now lets go find the jewel.”
Kagome glowed at the praise, she knew deep down the foot was what enabled her to hit the thing, but if Inuyasha was going to be nice she was going to enjoy it. She should not have thought it would last.

“Oi, bitch? I thought you said it was here?” yelled Inuyasha.
Oh she really wanted to sit him that moment but decided against it. “It is I can feel it” she told him.
Suddenly the head of the crow burst out of the bushes, Inuyasha quickly dispatched it and a small piece of the jewel fell to the ground. Kagome slowly walked over and picked it up looking at it.
“Bitch? What the fuck is that?” barked Inuyasha.
‘I really should sit him if he is going to keep calling me that.’ She thought to herself.
“Hmmm it is a shard of the jewel?”
“WHAT?!?!?!”

“Bitch, I can’t fucking believe you broke the fucking thing.”
“I didn’t mean to Inuyasha, I’ll help you look for the rest of the pieces.” Kagome said as they walked towards the river.
When they reached the river Inuyasha jumped up the cliff and settled down with his back to the river, he would keep be ready for anymore trouble. Kaede set to make a fire and told Kagome she would wash Kagome’s clothing while she bathed.
‘You know it isn’t really Kagome’s fault that the jewel broke. You are the one who told her to shoot the damn crow.’ Inuyasha thought to himself. His ears swiveled behind him to listen to Kagome undressing. He heard her gasp of shock when she touched the cold water. Then a splash, did she just jump in? He glanced over his shoulder, his eyes widen in shock, his mouth hung open, and he even panted a little. She was naked, totally fucking naked. He felt the blood rush out of his head and it all seemed to be collecting in one place. He could not help it he really could not but he turned around and watched her bathe. ‘If she catches me, she is going to make me eat dirt for sure. Oh and I would deserve it, yes I would, can’t help to but to thing about licking those drops of water from your skin, Kagome.’ Inuyasha had seen Kikyo and sometimes he saw other women bathe they never got naked to do it. A small whine escaped him. ‘Shit!’ He thought as Kagome looked up at him, he blinked his eyes rapidly and then thought, ‘Fuckity fuck fuck’ as he crashed towards them ground and saw stars when his hard on hit the rock hard ground.
“Lady Kaede! It is my daughter come quickly!” a village woman shouted.
“Inuyasha, ye and Kagome get along and come back to the village when ye are done. Aye, I will go with ye and see to the child.” Replied Kaede.

“Inuyasha, if you aren’t going to be nice I am just going to go home.”
“Oi, bitch! Leave the jewel.”
Inuyasha watched as the fire grew in Kagome’s eyes, smelled as her scent swelled with anger. ‘Damn she has no right to smell that good’
“Inuyasha, SIT! I’ll keep the jewel a little longer.”
Kagome gathered up her clothes and headed towards the well. ‘That Inuyasha he really is something. I think he just likes to get me mad. Oh there is the well. What are these bones? I can’t go in there it is creepy.’
“Ow” Kagome cries as her face is cut. “What is this…? Hair?!?”
“Being able to see it won’t help you now girl. Give me the jewel.” she wiggles her fingers and grabs the bag holding the fragment of the jewel.
“Who? Who are you? Hey-! Give that back!” yelled Kagome.
“I am Yura” she opens the bag and into her hand falls the fragment of the jewel. “Oh beautiful little jewel what has she done to you? Never mind you will die now!”
Kagome backed away as Yura swung her sword and fell down the well.

Inuyasha slowly peeled himself from the ground. ‘Damn that hurt. Why am I having this reaction to that girl?’ Even slamming into the ground twice did nothing to stop his erection. Inuyasha jumped in the cold river to cool down his over heated body, as soon as he got out he shook himself and started to run back to the village. ‘With out that girl here I feel more like myself. Why does she make me feel weird?’
“What the fuck?!?” he roared when several girls came flying towards him in the air with weapons. He readied his claws to strike.
“Inuyasha! Ye mustn’t do it.” Kaede said as she crawled to him. “They are being controlled by the hair.”
“Hair? What hair?”
“Ye can’t see it, can ye?” she questioned as he fought the villagers trying not to harm them.
“Come on Kaede-babaa, I’m getting you out of here.”
“Inuyasha you must find Kagome, only she can help ye” Kaede told him as he readied a hiding place for her.
“Here Kaede-babaa if I remember I’ll come back and get you”
“Don’t ye forget Inuyasha.”
‘Damn why do I have to find her? Why can’t someone else see them? Where did she go? I guess I’ll have to track her from the river.’ Inuyasha ran back towards the river until he crossed her scent in the forest. He got down on all fours sniffing the ground he followed the scent a few steps back, then a few steps forward. He quickly knew what direction she had gone in and followed it to the well. ‘Her scent goes in the well? Well then so do I.’

Kagome lay at the bottom of the well. She heard voices and then a light was shone down the well.
Shouts of “Kagome!” and “Nee-chan!” were yelled at the same time.
Kagome looked at the faces above her. “Jii-chan? Souta?”
“Hold on we will get you out!” yelled Souta he ran and got a rope and helped Jii-chan pull her out.
Kagome walked out into the courtyard in a daze. ‘I’m back? I’m back!’
“Kagome what happened you have been gone for three days” asked her grandfather.
Suddenly Kagome launched herself at him and her brother. “Jii-chan I have been so scared. I have so much to tell you.”

Kagome lay upstairs in the bath while her mother, grandfather, and brother sat around and talked about what had happened.
“There is no way that happened, she must be in shock or something.” Jii-chan said he was having a hard time believing it. Yes he always talked a good game about it, but deep down he did not really believe it.
“Father, Kagome’s story….” Mama started and dropped off, luckily Souta started up and no one noticed, how could she tell her father that three days ago a demon was sitting at this very table telling her about this very thing.
“Well just to make everyone happy I’ll go and seal the well.”
“I’ll come with you Jii-chan” and Souta followed Jii-chan out of the house as Mama turned to finish dinner.

When Kagome came downstairs for dinner her grandfather told her that he had sealed the well and nothing would go in or come out again. Kagome stopped listening to him the moment her mother put the oden down on the table. There is the sound of feet walking but no one can hear over Kagome’s chant of oden. Just as everyone is getting ready to eat, Inuyasha burst in.
“Oi, bitch who said you could come here?”
“Er- Inuyasha?”
A/N sorry it has taken so long, but here is another chapter. I think in the next one we will look for Sango in the modern day.
