Modern Day

 

After Sesshomaru finished talking with the director at the facility that he was having Jun moved to he excused himself and when to meet with the rest of his family. The facility that Jun would be at had wonder gardens, Sesshomaru knew that would be were Rin would have the rest of the family. Stepping outside he followed the scent of his wife to the garden.

 

There was a shout of “Daddy!” and two little girls with blonde pigtails launched themselves at Sesshomaru. He chuckled and caught them both and gave them a kiss on the cheek, then waited for each one to take turn tracing the markings on his cheeks and kissing the moon on his forehead before he set them down to run.

 

“Girls, you go to your mother. I have to talk to Uncle Shippo.” then speaking louder, “Shippo, a word”

 

A man with sparkling green eyes and long red hair in a ponytail excused himself from Rin, Tate, and a beautiful woman with silver blue hair, light violet eyes and ruby red lips to speak with Sesshomaru.

“Look, Sess about last night…” he started before Sesshomaru interrupted him.

 

“Don't worry about, if you had called me a couple of hours before that I wouldn't have wanted to answer the phone either” Sesshomaru remarked.

 

Shippo smirked at the comment letting a fang poke out from behind his lip. “So what do you need?”

 

“Where is Kirara?” Sesshomaru asked Shippo, he knew that the nekomata would come back see Shippo every ten to twelve months to make sure her concealment spell was still working properly, if Sango soul had reincarnated, if not she hung around with Shippo.

 

“I don't know haven't seen her in about eleven months. She should be showing up any day now. For the last seven years it has been seemed like she has a long way to travel to see me. As soon as she shows up I will find out where she is staying.”

 

“That will be good. Miroku is worried because he hasn't found Sango soul yet.” Sesshomaru told the kitsune.

 

“Kirara must be with Sango she usually doesn't stay way otherwise. Soulmates do belong together don't they?”

 

“Indeed.”

 

 

Modern Day - Australia

 

A girl with chestnut colored hair and eyes sat at a desk working on her homework. She glanced at the clock and saw that is was 10 minutes before six. `Dad should be home soon' she thought. She got up from the desk and went to open the bedroom window and let the ocean breeze enter the room from the Australian coast. Looking around the room she gazed at the different boomerangs that decorated the walls. By far the one next to her desk was her favorite. It was huge. It had been handed down to the first born girl in her family for nearly 500 years. It was called Hiraikotsu or Come Flying Bone. Her grandmother said it belonged to an ancestor of theirs that had been a taijiya or youkai exterminator named Sango. She smiled at this because Sango meant Coral.

 

Gravel crunched in the driveway announcing the arrival of her father. `Mama will be calling me to dinner soon.' She thought as she walked to the bathroom to wash up.

 

“Coral! Dinnertime!” her mother yelled from dining room.

 

As Coral walked in she saw that her brother was already at the table. “Hey, Amber” she ruffled his hair.

 

“Sis,” he said in an annoyed tone. In truth his name was Kohaku, but their parents were sure he was going to be a girl they had only picked out the name Amber Michaela. So her father suggested the Japanese name Kohaku that meant Amber and change the middle to Michael. Coral just couldn't help teasing him after all these years though.

 

“Mama, Papa I'm here. I was just washing up.” She said as she sat down for dinner.

“Well family there is something I would like to discuss with you.” Her father said as they started to eat.

 

“What is it Papa?”

 

“Yes, Hiro what would you like to discuss?”

 

“Well I was looking through some of job postings within our company, that I feel I would like to apply for. I don't know if I would get it, but if I did it would mean we would have to move back to Tokyo. It would also be enough of a raise that we could still keep this place for a vacation home. What are your thoughts?”

 

“Tokyo? I would miss my friends but it would be wonderful to be around Gran more.” Said Coral.

 

“Cool I won't be the freak with the Japanese name anymore, Coral will be the freak with the English name” Kohaku grinned.

 

“Hiro, if you feel this the right move for us I will stand behind you.” Said Carolyn, “How much of a raise would it really be?”

 

“Enough to have this place and fly back once a year for a few months, because part of the job will be here and to fly to America for a month of work there.” Hiro added at last minute.

 

Carolyn stopped short, “America? You mean once a year I would be able to see the rest of my family?”

 

“Yes, dear. I know we rarely get to go there. But you must remember I don't have this job yet. I haven't even applied for it yet. I just wanted to make sure that if I were to apply and get it you both would be happy. Now Coral, Kohaku, how was school today?” Hiro asked as he changed the direction of their conversation.

Flashback

When Kagome came downstairs for dinner her grandfather told her that he had sealed the well and nothing would go in or come out again. Kagome stopped listening to him the moment her mother put the oden down on the table. There is the sound of feet walking but no one can hear over Kagome's chant of oden. Just as everyone is getting ready to eat Inuyasha burst in.

 

“Oi, bitch who said you could come here?”

 

“Er- Inuyasha?”

End Flashback

 

Everyone stopped and looked at Inuyasha then I few things happened at once.

 

Kagome's grandfather pulled out a sutra and threw it on Inuyasha and yelled, “Demon be gone!”

 

Souta yelled, “He has dog ears, cool!”

 

Kagome's mother said, “They are so cute,” and preceded to rub them.

 

Kagome sank into her chair, out of the corner of her eye she saw something flash. She turned to look at Inuyasha and watched as a strand of black hair started working its way across it shoulder.

 

“Inuyasha what is that?” She asked pointing at the hair.

 

“What is what?” he barked.

 

She got up and grabbed the strand of hair, pricking her finger, “Ow” she cried out.

 

“Good you can see them. Kaede said you would. You have to tell me were they are coming from.” With that Inuyasha grabbed her arm and pulled her outside.

 

Hairs were snaking their way across the courtyard. Coming from the direction of the well. “Inuyasha you brought the hair here!” Kagome yelled as Inuyasha pulled her in the well house and locked the door behind him.

 

“Show me the lead hair that is making its way outside so we can protect your family.”

 

Realizing that she was the only one who could she the hair she grabbed the one that looked like it was controlling the rest letting it cut her hands enough that some blood drip down the hair.

 

“I see it!” Inuyasha said as he sliced the hair. He then grabbed Kagome and leapt into the well.
