Hello my adoring fans! This is an important note. Due to that I began school on August 25, 2005, it might take me longer to update stories since I may be swamped with homework and go to work after school on Thursdays and Fridays. I promise I will update whenever I can! And for the LAST time, I KNOW that 148 pounds isn't much, but its my story, so please don't put that in your review. I had too many of those.

 

 

Kagome's mother arrived at the condo later the next morning. All of her friends bid her good-bye.

 

“I guess I'll see you back at school Sango. Rin, Ayami, and Souten, I guess I'll see you all on the weekends or on vacation,” said Kagome. She hugged all the girls and left.

 

During the ride home was in silence. Kagome's mom didn't want to say anything since her daughter didn't seem to be in the mood of talking.

 

`I wonder what happened,' she thought as she looked at her daughter from the corner of her eye.

 

Kagome was thinking about that damned InuYasha. She doesn't know why, but what he said to her infuriated her. But why?!

The girls went to that beach that afternoon. It seemed so lonely without Kagome. They took their things and went tanning by the shore.

 

Miroku, Shippo, Koga, and Sesshomaru later joined them. InuYasha did join them. But everyone was ignoring him, so he stayed a few paces behind the tanning couples.

 

“We haven't said anything to him last night and today. Where's Kagome?” said Shippo.

 

“Kagome went back home this morning,” said Souten.

 

“Oh.”

 

Everyone looked back and gave icy glares at InuYasha. InuYasha saw them and looked at a different direction.

 

`I can't help it, I can't control of what I say,' thought InuYasha grimly.

The Higurashi women arrived home. Kagome went out of the car and opened the backdoor to get her duffle bag. She didn't say anything when she walked into the house. She went straight up the stairs and into her room. When she entered the room, she threw the bag aside and flopped onto the bed on her back.

 

She stared at ceiling. It'll still be nine to ten weeks until school started. What is she going to do to kill the time?

 

“I guess I can help around the house,” she mumbled.

 

Her cat Buyo jumped onto the bed and rubbed itself on her head. Kagome smiled and started petting him.

The tanning group packed their things since it was almost nightfall. All the couples were holding each other; everyone except InuYasha. He felt out of place. Almost like the ninth wheel.

 

He saw a girl almost looking like Kagome, but slimmer. The way she was walking to him was very seductive, waving her hips about.

 

Then he realized that it was Kikyo. He rolled his eyes, `What does she want?'

 

“Hello InuYasha,” she purred as she snaked her arms around his neck.

 

“Hi Kikyo,” he mumbled. He lifted his hands and pulled her hands from his neck.

 

They dated once before, but she was cheating on him. Shippo found out and told him. When he confronted her, she denied it. But one day after school, she saw her making out to Onigumo while his twin brother, Naraku, was grinding against her. It was a disgusting sight and he didn't want to bother with that scene.

 

The next day, he broke up with her. She was angry, but he didn't care.

 

“Come on InuYasha, it was a mistake, can we please be together again? I miss us,” pleaded Kikyo, trying to grab his hand.

 

“No Kikyo, leave it alone. I don't want to be with you ever again. Can't your brain process that?” growled InuYasha.

 

Kikyo looked miffed and whipped around with her hair hitting his face and stalked off.

His friends saw the whole scene with black expressions. They had no idea what to say or do, so they walked off.

 

The boys-except InuYasha-dropped the girls off at their house and went to their house. They went straight to bed and waited the next day.

Kagome walked outside after her nap that she took after getting tired petting Buyo. She went to the God Tree and climbed near to the top of the tree. The constellations were twinkling down and deep inside, she regretted leaving the condo. Also, she missed the arrogant, rude, asshole, jackass InuYasha. At least she doesn't have to wait long for school, right?
