A/N: Sorry I haven't updated for a while. I have two reasons, 1) writer's block and 2) homework. So hopefully, this made it all up.

Kagome was woken up by that damned alarm clock. Her groggily eyes looked at the time, seven o'clock. Her heavy eyelids dropped and her body slammed against her bed.

She was about to fall asleep when her mother's voice said, “Honey, wake up or you'll miss the bus.”

Kagome looked at the clock and it read, seven thirty. “Shit!”

She jumped out of bed and put on baggy, khaki pants and a light green shirt and wore white flip-flops. She hurriedly did the hygiene and ran down the stairs. She quickly grabbed her book bag that was waiting for her by the front door. Kagome ran down the shrine steps and just made it on time for the bus just stopped by her house.

As she expected, she was started being teased at. `It's make-up for the lost time they had over summer vacation,' she thought as she sat on the same seat that she always sat at.

Unexpectedly, the bus stopped at a drug store. `Does the bus driver need some Tums or something?' she thought.

She saw a boy walk up the steps and she couldn't believe that it was Hojo! Everyone on the bus hushed down and stared at the handsome new kid. Kagome knew right off the bat that he was going to be pretty popular this year from the amount of attention he was getting.

Hojo spotted her, smiled, and waved. All at once everyone on the bus glared at her, wondering what made her so special to get his attention. Kagome slouched a little in her seat and made a small wave.

The boy walked to her seat and asked, “Can I sit here?”

Everyone's eyes popped out, including Kagome's. “Yeah, sure, I guess. Do you really want to?”

Hojo smiled. “Yes, of course, why wouldn't I?”

Kagome murmured, “You'll see.” She averted her eyes towards the window and watched the scene pass by.

They arrived at school and when she and Hojo walked out of the bus, all the students swarmed around the “new kid.” Including the three bitches of the school, Kikyo, Kagura, and Yura. Kagome was shoved out of the way, she didn't mind.

Kagome walked into the school and all the students' pointed at her and snickered.

`Just another year at school,' was all she thought of.

She arrived at her locker and saw Sango and Miroku waiting for her.

“Hey Kagome, what's up?” asked Sango.

“Nothing,” was the reply. Then Kagome said, “Miroku, are you sure you want to hang out with me? You might be treated like me and Sango.”

Miroku shrugged. “I don't care. I never asked for the popular title.”

Sango beamed at his response and then felt a hand on her butt. She quivered a little and slapped him. Kagome shook her head; he just had to ruin the moment.

The trio walked to a spot where there was a poster of homerooms for seniors. They had the same teacher so they walked together to the classroom.

When they arrived they decided to sit in the far back, waiting for Ms. Natsumi, the homeroom teacher, to come in and give them their schedule for the year.

The teacher finally walked in. She looked very studious with her half-moon glasses. Her hair was in a tight bun and she wore a navy shirt that went to the floor and a white tank top. She looked like an old lady, but she was young actually, maybe in her mid-twenties.

“Hello students, welcome back to school and to your final year. My name is Ms. Natsumi and I am your homeroom teacher for the year. We will only be here if need be. I have your schedules and I will hand them out to you know and then I will hand out forms for your parents to sign,” she said. She went to the pile of papers and called out student names. When he or she raised their hand, Ms. Natsumi went to the person and handed over the schedule.

Kagome's name was called and she raised her hand. She was given the paper and she scanned the schedule for her first semester. Her eyes bulged when she realized what she had for last period.

“No, no, no, no, no,” Kagome repeated over and over.

“What's wrong Kagome?” asked Sango.

“I have gym for last period!” cried Kagome. She banged head on the table.

“Why not get it changed?” said Miroku.

“Good idea!” exclaimed Kagome. She raised her hand and asked the teacher if she could go to the guidance counselor. She was granted the permission and she leaped to her feet and raced down the hallways to get to the office.

She arrived and she went straight towards the office. Kagome saw a petite woman with short black hair typing on her computer.

The woman looked up. “May I help you?”

“Yes, I was wondering if you could change my last period,” said Kagome as she sat down onto a chair that was sitting across the desk.

“Let me see your schedule,” the woman said. Kagome gladly handed over the paper.

The guidance counselor looked it over and went to her computer. She went to a different program and looked it over. “I'm sorry, every class is full, I can't change your classes, I'm sorry.”

The petite woman handed Kagome back her paper and Kagome smiled a little. Kagome walked out of the office with a dark cloud hanging over her. This was going to be a crappy last year. She just knew it.

Kagome's first semester classes:

First period: Japanese IV
Second period: English III
Third period: Geometry
