Kagome went to her first period class with a grudge. It wasn't that she didn't like her Japanese class; it was that she couldn't get her last period changed. So, she would have to suffer gym class for one semester. She can pull it through, right?

 

Japanese IV was so boring. Her teacher had this monotone voice that can lull you to sleep, which some of the students actually did. She sat in the back, taking notes. She already knew what to do with their language, so what's the use of taking this class?

 

English III was fun to Kagome and she sat in the third row. The English language is so reflexive and you can express so many things unlike other languages and it had a wide range of vocabulary. It had over seven hundred fifty thousand words.

 

Her English teacher was from America. The teacher's name was Miss Leigh. She told her class that she took Japanese in her high school and college years, along with English. Miss Leigh always wanted to teach English to the Japanese for a while. They already received homework from that class, but Kagome didn't mind.

 

Then there was Geometry. At least they wouldn't have to learn so many formulas unlike Algebra. The good part is that you can see what you have to do and not trying to memorize what you have to do.

 

Hojo was in that class. She was the first to step into class and took a seat all the way in the back. Then people started walking in. One of the people was Hojo. Once he saw her, he waved and went to the seat next to hers.

 

“Hey Kagome, I can't believe that we have the same class, isn't that cool?” asked Hojo with a goofy grin on his face.

 

Kagome made a small smile. “Yeah, it is pretty cool.”

 

Then the teacher walked in and class started when the tardy bell rang. That class had homework too, which was a total bummer for everyone, including Kagome. She couldn't stand math. But she hoped this class would be easier than Algebra.

 

There was lunch and she was glad that she spotted Sango walking outside in the courtyard. Kagome yelled her name and Sango spotted her friend sitting at the same table they usually sat.

 

“Hey Kagome, how are your classes so far?” asked Sango.

 

“OK. I already have homework from my second and third period classes,” said Kagome.

 

“Yeah, I have homework too. Hey, InuYasha is in my English II class,” said Sango with a sly grin.

 

Kagome blushed. “So?”

 

“Oh nothing, I thought you would just like to know,” replied Sango.

 

“Why would I? He is a total jerk,” Kagome retorted.

 

“True, but why did you blush?”

 

“I did not! Anyways, I have eyes for Hojo now. He seems to be a really nice and sweet guy.”

 

Sango's eyes went wide. “Really? What about InuYasha? I know he said some nasty things to you, but he looks like he regretted saying them to you. I can tell by the way his eyes look and his facial expression.”

 

“And? He never came up to me to apologize. I don't think he's sorry about it. Anyways, to change the subject, are you in any of Miroku's classes?” asked Kagome.

 

Sango made a wide smile. “Yeah, we are in the first two classes.”

 

The bell rang to go to their last period. Kagome and Sango said their goodbyes and left.

 

Kagome walked slowly as a sloth to her gym class. She was dreading to go to that damned class. She knew she had to change her clothes in front of the girls. There were bathroom stalls, but girls mostly occupied them. They only had five minutes to change during the five minutes time they had to go to class. The teachers also let another five minutes after the tardy bell rang.

 

Kagome just didn't want the girls see her chubbiness. She was very self-conscious of her body. Then there were exercises they have to do like the mile run and the teachers time them. It's just that Kagome didn't want to do them. She didn't want to feel like she has to prove herself in front of them and not have people gawk at her cause she hasn't finished the goal they had to reach that day and she was taking up their time. Maybe the gym teacher would make an exception for her.

 

Kagome arrived at the gymnasium and she almost collapsed. There was Kikyo and Kagura along with Naraku and Onigumo, the twins. The four saw Kagome walking in and smiled maliciously. It made chills go down Kagome's spine.

 

Onigumo was the first twin born. He had long, curly black hair and had violet eyes. He had a burn mark on his right cheek. Nobody knew how it got there and Onigumo wouldn't tell.

 

Naraku was born five minutes after Onigumo. He had the same type of hair, but he had crimson eyes. It looked like he could see down to your soul with those eyes. It creeps some people out.

 

 

`Shit, crap, son of a bitch…' Kagome was thinking of all the cuss words that she could think of. This will be the shittiest semester ever, to her.

 

Only one good thing made her at least enjoy the class. Koga was sitting near the back of the rest of the people. She smiled and walked straight towards him.

 

“Oh, hey Kagome, what's up?” said Koga.

 

“Nothing, I am so happy that we have the same class. At least I know someone that has the same gym class,” said Kagome.

 

Koga smiled and then the gym teacher blew his whistle to tell that class is starting.

 

The gym teacher told his class what was expected and so forth. He wanted his class to have his or her clothes by tomorrow so they can get started. But he said for now there will be a free period for today.

 

For that whole period, she stayed far away from the four, evil popular as much as she could. Koga and herself shoot some hoops and just talked.

 

The last bell rang and school was out. Kagome walked home and once she was in the door and in her room, she started on her homework so it could be out of her way.

 

Her Grandpa walked into her room. “How was school granddaughter?”

 

“Fine Grandpa, but do you mind? I want to get my work done.”

 

Grandpa nodded and walked off. Kagome didn't have dinner that night. Her math and English teacher gave her a lot of work. Her brother did bring up some miso soup on her desk.

 

She was finally finished and she dozed off. Her head hit her desk lightly and started to fall asleep.
