The sun's rays peaked through the windows in Kagome's room. The rays hit Kagome's face and Kagome snorted and her body jolted. Her eyes opened and she lifted her head. When she did, a paper was stuck to her face. She pulled it off and she found out that she drooled a little.

 

“Nice Kagome, real nice,” she mumbled to herself. She looked to her clock and saw that it was six thirty. She made an agitated sigh. She could have a half hour more of sleep.

 

“No time like the present,” she told herself. She remembered that she had to bring gym clothes that day. So she went to her closet and her drawers. She grabbed a long, gray t-shirt and blue wind pants. She also snagged an elastic band and put it on her left wrist and put on a watch on her other wrist.

 

Then she grabbed a pair of bootleg jeans and a pale yellow t-shirt and put on a pair of white sneakers. She went down the stairs and grabbed a bowl of Frosted Cheerios. When she was finished, she did her morning hygiene ritual. She left the house with her backpack and gym clothes to meet the bus.

 

She was five minutes earlier than usual since she woke up earlier thanks to the sun. She waited for the bus…. and waited…. and waited.

 

`The fuck?' she thought angrily as she looked at her watch. It was seven fifty. She was going to be very late for school. She decided to walk, even though she wouldn't be at school until eight twenty.

 

She started walking to school. The weather was clean and crisp. When she inhaled, she felt fresh.

 

Halfway to the school, she heard a rumbling noise. When she turned around and saw a molten red BMW behind her. She knew who it was. InuYasha.

 

He slowed down by her and rolled down a window. “Hey Kagome! Need a lift?”

 

Kagome was still angry at him from his words at the restaurant over the summer. She glared at him and started walking with her eyes closed and her nose in the air. InuYasha knew that she was still pissed. If he had dog-ears, they would be down by now.

 

He started to drive slowly next to her as she was walking and his window was still down. “Oh, come on Kagome, you can't walk to school, you'll get tired. Just come in so we can actually get there in time.”

 

Kagome was still silent.

 

“Ugh, Kagome, stop being so immature and get in.”

 

Kagome inhaled deeply at the word `immature.' She turned around and InuYasha thought at once that her eyes were holding fire, but they actually were.

 

“How dare you call me immature, InuYasha! You are the immature one I can see. You acted juvenile at the restaurant. That was very uncalled for. Anyways, I walk from school all the time and I don't get tired,” shouted Kagome.

 

“Well, what do you want me to say? Sorry?” said InuYasha.

 

“That would be a first and very nice,” Kagome replied coolly. She waited a few seconds. No answer. She sighed in agitation and started walking again.

 

InuYasha started to drive again slowly. He asked her again and she just flipped him off. He gave up and drove off.

 

`Finally it is peaceful yet again. I can't believe that he wouldn't apologize, what a jerk. What did I see in him anyways?' Kagome pondered.

 

Fifteen minutes later, she arrived at school. In the student parking lot, which was to the left in the front of the school, she could see InuYasha's car parked. She walked on and entered the school's entrance and went straight to her locker.

 

She ignored all the teasing that was given to her. She had no time to deal with it. Kagome went straight to her first class and before she entered it, the first bell rang. Ah, she made it to school just in time. Students started piling in. Six minutes later the tardy bell rang. Another eight hours of school again.
