“What?” gasped InuYasha.

 

Miroku said, “She's at the United Tokyo Hospital right now.”

 

InuYasha nodded, realizing that he should go there and visit her. He ran to his car, opened the door, hopped in, closed the door, and started his car.

 

InuYasha left the school parking lot and started doing sixty in the fifty mile-per-hour on the highway. He had to see her. He had to know how she was, even though she is in a coma. Even though he didn't say or show it, he felt bad at what he said to her. Hopefully, he can say it when she regains consciousnesses.

 

Forty-five minutes later, he arrived at the hospital. He ran into the hospital and arrived at the front desk.

 

“Kagome Higurashi,” he said.

 

“She's on the fourth floor, room one hundred and one,” said the woman.

 

InuYasha murmured a thank you and went to the elevator. He pressed the number four button and waited to get up there.

 

When the ding was sound, the doors opened and InuYasha walked out. The smell of sanitation stung his nose. He couldn't stand the smell of hospitals, but he had to see her.

 

He started looking around and found her room number. A woman was standing outside the window and was looking in Kagome's room. InuYasha guessed that it was her mother.

 

“Are you Ms. Higurashi?” asked InuYasha when he stepped next to her.

 

“Yes, who are you?”

 

“My name is InuYasha, I heard what happened to Kagome and wanted to see how she was doing.”

 

“Well…take a look.”

 

InuYasha looked and was frozen in his spot. Kagome was hooked up to many machines: IV, oxygen, life support, and a lot more that was keeping her alive.

 

“Oh my gods,” he whispered. He laid a hand on her window. He lightly hit his forehead on the glass.

 

Ms. Higurashi sighed. “She hit the ground really hard. It did some damage to the brain, but not a whole lot, which is a very good thing. Oh, I am not sure if I have enough money to pay the hospital bills. The doctor told me that it's going to be very expensive to keep her like this; I am going to get another job. Do you mind keeping an eye on her? Call me if anything happens.”

 

InuYasha was about to say something, but she already left. He turned his head and looked back into the window. He turned to his left and went to open the door. He entered the room and calmly closed the door.

 

He walked to an empty chair and sat in it. It was completely silent except for the beeping from the machines and so forth. He drummed his fingers together, looking at Kagome. She had bandages around her head and had a tube coming from her mouth for oxygen.

 

“What happened Kagome? How did you get into this position?” he asked in a small voice. He hanged his head low.

 

“Come on Kagome, wake up, I have to tell you something, I can't tell you it when you're not conscious,” said InuYasha.

 

He dragged his chair closer to her bed. He bends over and laid his elbows on the bed with his head resting on his hands. InuYasha just stared at her, praying to the kamis to release her from the long sleep she was having right now.

 

He noticed a small twitch in her face. What's going on?
