Kagome was dreaming. The colors she saw was just black and white, like the old movies. Everything she saw was fuzzy and at times they were clear.

 

`Where am I?' she asked herself.

 

Then the images suddenly became clear like they were listening to her thoughts. She gasped. She was in the hallways of Teeburu High School. The last place she ever, in her life, wanted to be.

 

The students around her were surrounding her, pointing his or her fingers at her, and she could vividly hear the names they were calling her. She wrapped her arms around herself, seeking herself some comfort.

 

She looked around, hoping to see her friend Sango, but to no avail.

 

`Sango, Sango where are you?' she thought, looking around.

 

Kagome finally saw her and ran to her with an outstretched hand, but it was all in slow motion. It was like her legs couldn't run fast enough.

 

Sango turned around and gave her a look that Kagome never imagined that Sango would ever give her. It was the snotty look that Kikyo and her friends give her.

 

“I'm not going to be your friend anymore. I am tired of hanging out with a fat loser that can never defend herself,” she said and turned around and walked away, but it was more that she faded away.

 

“Sango!” Kagome cried out, then the crowd started to close in on her.

 

Kagome fell onto her knees, holding her head. “Stop! Stop! Stop it all!”

 

Then the scene changed and Kagome found herself at the beach where she spent two or three days over the summer with Sango and her friends.

 

The ocean water was black as ink and the sand was gray. The wind was chilly as it swept up a dark gray summer dress she found herself wearing.

 

Kagome saw InuYasha walking up to her in a darker gray suit. His hair was in a ponytail that was slightly loose.

 

“InuYasha?” said Kagome.

 

“Kagome, are you all right?” he asked.

 

Kagome gave him a confused look. “Yeah, I am, why do you ask.”

 

“You've been out for a while,” he replied.

 

“What are you talking about, I'm all right, I feel fine,” she replied with a smile.

 

“You have to wake up, I have to tell you something and I can't do it when you're not conscious,” he told her.

 

“InuYasha, are you sure you're not the one who's feeling OK and not me?” asked Kagome.

 

Then he started to fade away.

 

“Wait, InuYasha! Where are you going? Are you going to leave me like Sango did?” she shouted.

 

Kagome ran to him, but she just went through him. She fell onto the sand on her hands and knees. Her body just started to shake.

 

`What's going on here? Is this even real?' she asked herself.

 

But the nightmare was soon to come.

InuYasha was looking at her with tired eyes as he said, “You have to wake up, I have to tell you something and I can't do it when you're not conscious.”

 

It's been two days since the incident happened. He was about to doze off when he heard a knock on the door. He jolted and saw that it was just Sango.

 

“Hey, I just came by to drop her backpack off. I keep forgetting to bring it from the school, so, here it is,” she said as she placed it by InuYasha.

 

There was a moment of silence. “Has Ms. Higurashi been here lately? I heard she picked up another job. I don't know why we just help her pay the bills when Kagome gets up,” said Sango as she took a chair that was nearby.

 

“I don't know either. I don't think she's the type of person to ask people for favors and she did get a job that takes up a lot of her time. She hasn't been here since the day Kagome was put into this hospital,” he told her.

 

“Yeah, I know that though. Kagome's mom is more the type of helping people than having people help her,” she said, “Gosh InuYasha, when was the last time you've taken a shower?” She plugged her nose.

 

“Huh? Oh, two days,” he replied with a sheepish grin. “Where's Miroku?”

 

“Oh, he's in the gift shop. He's going to buy flowers for Kagome, to lighten up the room a little. It's kind of dreary in here,” she replied. Then she looked at him, “You like her don't you?”

 

“Yeah,” he said in a low tone.

 

Sango smiled and looked at her friend, with a sad smile. `Wake up Kagome, please.'
