Thanks for the reviews! I thought there would be much less! And, I have to give special thanks to my reviewers, who took time out of their life to tell me that they like my work, here they are:
chapter is when Sess/Rin are about meet. They will meet, very soon. Just not now. This chapter takes place two months after Rin left.
Disclaimer: I do not own InuYasha. I hate having to say that.
absolutely hated snow. Sure it was pretty, but not only did ruin flowers, it ruined fire. Since the snow decided to come early this winter and she had left the nearest village three days ago, she was unsure where she was supposed to go now.
had told her where the Palace of the West was, but kept warning her that a powerful and evil demon lived there. She bit back her tongue from snapping back that he was not evil, he was good and perfect, her Sesshoumaru-sama. Instead, she just said she'd be fine and not to worry. But the villagers still kept nagging at her, saying she could stay and a miko of her caliber would be greatly appreciated and respected. Still she just told them she had to leave. So she did.

herself out of her reveries, Rin kept walking through the snow. Finally, when she was she she'd die in the blizzard, she saw a warm orange light. Fire. Rin almost bolted toward the source of light. But right before she could take her first step, she could hear her Jaken's voice and see his face, telling her that she was being a stupid ningen, as always, and that it could be demons or bandits.
Rin weighed out the choices in her mind. She could either freeze to death in the snow, or perhaps have to purify demons or kill bandits, which could also possibly be good people with warm bread, and nice roasted goose and mouth-watering pheasant and all sorts of delicious goodness just waiting to be eaten. And without a second thought she ran to the welcoming blaze.
<><><><><><><><> <><><><><>was forced to sit through the rants and speeches of the extremely boring Ambassador of the East. It wasn't as if he listened to the babblings. He had already heard it. Three times he had heard the benefits of taking in the Lord of the East's daughter as his mate. Three times he had heard that it would ensure the succession of his line and the expansion of his borders. But that was out of the question. He had seen the Lord of the East's daughter, the disgusting oaf that she is. She was ugly, stupid, unrefined, and, if it was possible, a whore. The young lord would not take someone so demeaning in as a mate. The very thought sickened him.
only that, but-" "Enough. This Sesshoumaru was told that there would be other matters to discuss. If there is none, leave." interrupted Sesshoumaru. His irritation was quite obvious in his voice. The ambassador just stuttered and stumbled over his words, clearly afraid of the taiyoukai. Finally he produced a coherent sentence, "N-no, Sesshoumaru-sama. That is all we wished to discuss. My lord only hoped that-" "Then leave." "Of course. But if you would perhaps reconsider-" For the third time Sesshoumaru interrupted him. "This Sesshoumaru does not like repeating himself."
ambassador scurried out the door.
Rin was thankful that the fire she had seen belonged to good people. In fact, all they were was an elderly couple. But Rin was still on her guard. When they greeted her at their door, the woman gasped and ushered her in, telling her suck things as "You must be very cold." And, "Of all the silly things! You must be hungry! Dear, go fix this poor girl some broth!" Soon Rin was wrapped in a blanket sipping on a poorly fashioned mug and sitting before a fire.
watched the old woman with wary eyes as she milled about making something more substantial for her to eat. How much Rin had changed since she left Sesshoumaru? Not only was she less trusting, she was very calm and peaceful. She never ran aimlessly or picked flowers anymore. It was true that growing up had something to do with this, but it also had to do with a her sudden, new environment . While she was with her lord, the only source of entertainment she had was either picking on Jaken or picking up flowers. At the village she would train every day; mentally, spiritually and physically. There was never any time to pick flowers or climb trees or any of the things she used to do. With her lord, she didn't have a care in the world, her whole world revolved around him. But in the village, it was her job to protect it and help those in need. What would her lord think of her new self. She'd be so different that her probably wouldn't know it was her.
dear, if your hands keep trembling like that you'll pour that hot broth all over yourself." Looking down on herself Rin saw that she was trembling and a great deal of the broth had spilled on her. Rin started and set the mug down. "Sorry." she added quickly. The elderly woman smiled knowingly, "Who were you thinking of?" "Just someone that I love, that's all."was forced to keep moving through the blizzard. He had no idea why his lord sent him this way. But he did.

Sesshoumaru stopped suddenly, his nose lifting in the air.
looked around cautiously, then turned to Jaken.
milord?"
looked down on him and spoke,
Sesshoumaru has an errand for you."

For some reason or another, his lord had decided that he was to head east from the palace, looking for something. He didn't know what, only that he would know once he found it. Or so his lord said.
Jaken kept moving through the blizzard.was sure that he smelled something like her.
Rin.
smelled like her, just different. Changed.
he sent Jaken out looking for the scent. He didn't tell him what he thought it was. He was sure that if Jaken saw it, he would know what it was and bring it back.
if it was his Rin, Sesshoumaru would welcome the little girl. The Lord of the Western Lands never denied Rin of anything.
anything.
Sesshoumaru would welcome the little girl and then get on with his life. Besides, Ah-Un missed her. And contrary to popular belief, so did the toad.
Rin, being who Rin was, would not object to coming back. She never disobeyed her lord.
it's her, he thought. It has to be. No one would ever trick the Western lord. Those who would paid with their lives. It had to be Rin.
You got some splainin' to do!

have to 'cause Ricky gonna get me in trouble.
no more stupid I Love Lucy jokes. I know.
off, I would like to thank again my reviewers. It means a lot.

#1. Why the first two chapters where so short, and why this one is too.
the first two are kinda like prologues. I think a prologue to be something that helps a story but is not all together important. But the first two where drastically important. Thus they were short but not a prologue.
chapter is short because they won't be meeting till next chapter. Promise.

#2. The all-of-a-sudden change in format.
just experimenting. I like my new format better.

#3. Why Sesshoumaru can smell Rin.
he wants to. Normally, he wouldn't smell something from a blizzard. But he wants to. Also, Rin being a miko gives her scent a more prominent fume. It smells different because of several reasons. First because Rin's losing her purity in some ways. Also because being a miko gives her a more holy scent and she's spent more time among humans.
. IMPORTANT! No new chappie.

I won't be posting chapter 4 for awhile 'cause I'm coming out with a new song fic. READ MY PROFILE. Also if I don't get reviews then I think no ones reading it and I'll delete it.
