A month after the funeral, InuYasha thought it was time to pop the question. He led her to a field of sakura flowers, Kagome's favorite flowers. He sat her down by a tree and knelt on one knee. Kagome gasped, she knew what that meant.

 

“Kagome, would you be my wife and mate?” InuYasha asked.

 

Kagome shrieked and replied, “Yes!” She pounced on her fiancé and kissed him.
