A/N: I have been so busy lately that its crazy. But I haven't forgotten.
"I could have sent someone to get this," Sesshomaru said as he and Kagome walked inside the sushi restaurant. "I know," she laughed as she pulled him into the open seafood market, "but I wanted to get out of the castle for a little while."
He raised a brow slightly. "Bored?"
She shook her head slowly while a small smile turned her lips "Never that. Just a change of pace." She turned and walked toward the hostess. "I'd placed the orders for the salmon, squid and sukiyaki beef plate."
“Yes, certainly,” the hostess said as a waiter came out with the boxed food.
Sesshomaru paid the bill and the two left the market with their purchases, oblivious to the stares of people around them. Women gawked at his pristine handsomeness, and she bristled with annoyance as a few made to come near them, effectively quelling their attempts.
He heard her snort and looked down at her, his eyes betraying his amusement. She sniffed but her heart gave a little flutter as his gaze lingered on her form.
They returned home quickly after a short car ride, and Kagome began to set up her plate.
She loaded the raw salmon and beef with rice onto her plate and walked out to the patio where he sat. She sat down across from him and curled her legs up in her chair.
"Yum," she sighed. “Have some salmon,” she urged him. “You can eat that can't you? Its raw.” He nodded.
She flashed him a brief smile as he ate a piece of salmon and chewed it thoughtfully. She raised her brow, and he shook his head. "Its succulent, but it is not enough. I will eat later."
She nodded. "I just hate eating in front of you when you're hungry.”
He shook his head. “Its fine.” She looked at him seriously. "Okay."
They sat in silence for a few minutes until she sat back with a sigh. “Mhmm, that was yummy,” she said wiping her face with her napkin. He said nothing but gazed at her contemplatively. Blushing, she lowered her eyes as she settled deeper into her chair.
They sat quietly enjoying the cool evening, and the near faded sound of the crickets. She thought of how she didn't feel the need to have to talk, that they could go without words.
“Did you finish researching the rest of your classes,” he said after a few minutes.
“Yeah. One of the ones I wanted isn't available though.”
“I'll see what I can do about that,” he said quietly.
She smiled as her eyes centered on him. “You don't have to do that.”
He raised his brow faintly. “But I will,” he said, and the corner of her mouth lifted even further.
The companionable silence lasted a few more moments before he stood and stretched
She raised her head to accommodate his standing height. “What are your plans,” he asked, as she pressed back further in the chair until it reclined. "I'm going to sit here for a while."
He nodded. "Then I shall hunt. I shall return soon." He walked away to the forest. Her eyes followed him as he walked away and she sighed.

Later that evening, Kagome sat in front of the television her body tense as the young woman entered the dark house. "No...Don't go in there," she exclaimed as she closed the door behind her.
"Arrgh!" she screamed quietly as Sesshomaru entered the room fresh from his hunt. "You scared me," she accused him with a mischievous look.
His face couldn't disguise his humor in the situation as he turned his head and entered the shower. After dressing in a night robe, he found Kagome sitting up in the bed, nervously biting her nails as the killer stalked the young woman.
"You traipse around the Feudal era not afraid of demons, but are petrified of a movie," he said dryly as he slipped into bed next to her and leaned back against the mountain of pillows.
She giggled, and then gasped as the killer advanced upon the girl and became completely engulfed in the movie. He watched quietly, having a different perspective since there was not much he feared in this world, and assuredly nothing human.
The movie ended and she turned to face him. Flopping on her belly beside him, she twined her fingers across his abdomen. "Are you going somewhere tomorrow," she asked inquisitively.
He looked at her lazily. "Perhaps. I am not sure though." She smiled. "I see. Just wondering." A curious feeling hit her stomach and a slight frown passed upon her face.
He raised his brow. “Something the matter,” he asked. "It's nothing. I just felt really tired all of a sudden," she said and within minutes she was asleep.
He observed her quietly as he watched the nightly news, and then he too went to sleep.

"What's that," Kagome said to Sesshomaru. They stood on the beach and the sea was oddly rushing forward and backward. It pulled completely back and rushed toward them
He turned to her quietly. "It looks like a Tsunami to me," he said as it neared them and her eyes flew open.
Her stomach wrenched violently, and she sat up quickly. She slid over Sesshomaru and ran toward the bathroom. She reached the toilet and vomited the contents of her dinner.
She gagged for a few moments, then sat back and balanced herself shakily upon her hands and knees.
Strong arms closed about her waist and lifted her off the floor. His eyes had flickered open as she passed over him quickly and he heard her vomiting. He carried her to the sink and poured her some mouthwash. He held her as she washed her face with a towel and he then carried her to bed.
He went down stairs and poured her some water. He walked up the stairs to the bedroom and handed her the glass. She wouldn't look at him as she took it.
She drank it as he settled into the bed and after putting the cup upon the dresser, lay down her face hidden from his. He raised his brow and then he felt her emotion, she was embarrassed.
`I didn't want him to see me like this.' "I'm sorry," she said dejectedly, "I woke you up."
His brow furrowed heavily and he pressed her shoulder until she lay flat upon her stomach.
He patted her awkwardly, watching her until she fell asleep and continued to watch her for some time. After assuring himself she was fine, he returned to slumber.

Silkily lashed lids fluttered slowly as the light of the day entered the bedroom. She lifted her gaze to Sesshomaru sleeping on his back beside her. "Are you feeling better," Sesshomaru asked, then opened his eyes. She nodded. "I think it was the fish."
He inclined his head. "It could be," he agreed. He sat up. "I'd prefer if you'd take it easy today," he said as he swung his legs to the edge of the bed. "Okay," she said in a small voice. He looked back at her. "Why do you assume I would be angry with you?"
She shrugged slowly. "Because I woke you up, and it was disgusting." He shook his head. "I'm not." He stood. “I have somewhere to be," he said as he walked into the shower.
She remained sitting where she was as she thought, `I still feel a little queasy,' she thought with a hand on her stomach. `I don't want him to know.' She sat up and turned on the television.
He emerged in a dark suit, his hands tying the last of the buttons. Her eyes lit upon him admiringly.
She stood and walked before him and pushed his hands away from the tie. His eyebrows arced upward, as she quickly and neatly tied the tie standing on the tips of her toes. He said nothing, but nodded his appreciation. She rocked back as she lowered her heels to the ground, feeling her stomach roil slightly.
The two walked down the stairs, and upon reaching the front door, she walked toward his chest and hugged him. He gave her a slow, lingering kiss upon her forehead. “Get some rest," he said seriously.
She lowered her eyes blushing and leaned against the doorframe as he walked toward his car. She waved him off and promptly ran back upstairs and vomited once more. She immediately felt better after doing so.
She touched her swollen lymph nodes in her neck, and shakily wiped her brow. `God I hope I don't have a virus or the flu,' she thought worriedly.
"That was probably the last of it," she said with relief. She coughed once. "But I probably need to lay down lie down." She brushed her teeth furiously, and then lay down in the bed. She watched television for several hours and alternately slept.

Later that night, as the two prepared for bed, Kagome paused before sliding into bed. 'There it is again,' she thought as she slid into bed, 'that queasy feeling.' Sesshomaru looked at her inquisitively. "Are you feeling well?"
She gave him a wan smile. "Yeah," she said weakly, and then promptly flew to the bathroom again where she retched up her dinner. He didn't go to her this time, but allowed her private time to recover herself.
She exited the bathroom after cleaning herself up to find him sitting upon the edge of the bed. She took a step forward as his eyes beckoned her to come join him and she curled up in his lap after he pulled her to him, his face serious, his eyes searching.
"What is wrong," he said quietly. "I don't know, I just don't feel well," she said with a gulp. “I'm achy, my breasts hurt, and sometimes my stomach too.” Her brow was damp with perspiration and he wiped his hand across it gently. "I just feel queasy sometimes lately. And I hurt." He gazed at her levelly. "Perhaps you should see a doctor."
"Oh," she said with a wan smile, "Maybe. Maybe not. I'm sure I'm fine, I already feel better,” hating that she lied to him and that he knew it. He got in the bed and pulled her to him.
He looked at the veins that ran along the side of her arm, veins that were suddenly protruding slightly and blue-tinged. She looked at him solemnly as he examined her arm thoroughly. “I'll go tomorrow,” she said in a small voice and turned away to lie on her side.
He measured her upset for a moment and placed his left hand on her shoulder and pressed it so that she turned to him. “Its out of concern for you, not a desire to force you to my will.
Her eyes softened as her hurt lessened. “I know,” she relented; she was irritated with the idea of the ordeal of physician's tests, not him. He placed his arm over her stomach and pulled her closer to him as he turned to his side and propped up upon his right arm.
She sighed at his comforting, soothing nearness and fell asleep immediately. He continued watching her for some time with assessing, contemplative eyes.

The next day, the door to the Higurashi home opened slowly and Sana said with mild curiosity. “Sesshomaru. It is good to see you. What brings you by?”
He crossed the threshold, his eyes never leaving hers as she leaned against the doorway with a raised brow. “I think you know.”
