Inuyasha woke up to the sound of one of Kagome's blood curdling screams. Without and hesitation he bolted from his room to find her tossing and turning in her sleep. Her arms and legs flailing about.

It's just a really bad dream. He told himself. Breathing a sigh of relief.

"What's going on?" A sleepy Shippo asked, rubbing his eyes. Inuyasha only looked at Kagome.

"Just a nightmare. Go back to bed."

"But Inuyasha-"

"Bed. Now!"

"Ok fine." Shippo went off to bed as Kagome continued to flail in her sleep.

Inuyasha went over and herd her arms down as she tried to wake her.

But he was so busy holding her wrists down and trying to wake her he wasn't paying attention to her also kicking feet.

And sure enough. "Kagome. Kagome wake up."

An unseen knee. An up thrust. A vulnerable hanyou.

After a moment Inuyasha sucked in a deep breath. His eyes went wide. His hands went to the hurting area. His ears flattened to his head. And he fell to the ground. Taking Kagome with him.

She landed on his chest, which didn't help the current situation.

"Oh, my! I am so sorry!" Kagome said . Hugging Inuyasha as he placed the much needed ice pack in a much needed place. Inuyasha sighed but didn't say anything.

"What? Do I have to kiss it to make it better?" Kagome said, rubbing his ears while he gave her a `what did you just say' look. Kagome only giggled as he purred and leaned into her touch.

"From dog demon to little kitty in seven seconds." Kagome said, putting her head on his shoulder.

"Could of been worse." Inuyasha finally spoke. Kagome looked up, confused.

"And how could that of been worse?"

"Lets just say ut could of been so I can feel better."

Kagome giggled as he got up. Throwing the ice pack back into the freezer.

Kagome came up behind him. "I'll make it up to you. I promise."

Inuyasha only grumbled. "Get ready to go. I'm going to take you to your house."

"But it's two in the morning."

"Want to get in and out before anyone sees us."

"How are we going to get everything here? I mean it's not like you can carry it all on your back."

"Miroku took care of that. Now lets go. We have to meet them there."

"And when did you plan all this?"

"Never mind that. Why are you stalling?"

Kagome sighed in defeat, heading off to her room. And the shower.

=======

Kagome, Inuyasha, and Souta landed with grace on the front steps of the shrine. A large moving van stood waiting. Sango sleeping in the open bay of it, while Miroku leaned on the side. Lightly petting Kirara who was perched on the tail gate.

"Ready to do this? I can go in and get your stuff for you." Inuyasha said as he reached for the door handle.

Kagome shoot her head. "One, there are personal things in there that lets face it, no man should see. And two… I have to face it eventually."

Inuyasha sighed opening the door as Miroku walked up to meet them. Leaving Sango fast asleep in the bay.

"Looks like the CSI clean up crews already came." Miroku said. He had been slightly interested in forensics for a little amount of time. You ask him how long it takes for something to happen to a dead body, he had an answer.

"The crews suck. I can smell faint amounts of blood."

"They are not perfect Inuyasha." Miroku said, folding his arms as he leaned up agaisned the doorway. "Now lets make this quick before people begin to ask questions.

Inuyasha nodded and followed the two kids up to their rooms.

A good twenty minutes later the back of the truck was loaded with books, clothes, games, a computer, DVD's. VHS tapes, CD-ROMS, DVD-ROMS, and just about anything else the kids wanted to take with them. They sure enough had enough space for them. Oh, and let's not forget the still asleep Sango who was now propped up in Kagome's beanbag chair.

Miroku got up in back and picked Sango up in his arms. Passing her on to Inuyasha, he jumped down and reclaimed her. Placing her across the front seat of the large vehicle.

"One last thing." Kagome said, holding up a pair of keys.

"Ah, the best of the best?" Inuyasha asked. "I do have a garage on the other side of the apartment." Kagome raised a brow. "How big is that place?"

"There still are parts you haven't seen." He said. Prying open the garage door.

Inside sat a silver Mitsubishi Gallant. Four doors with power locks and windows. (A/N: I sound like I'm trying to sell the car don't I?)

Inuyasha whistled low at it. "What?" Kagome asked. "It's nothing special. It was my mom's old car."

Inuyasha nodded. "But you have to admit. The silver is… wow."

"You with the silver, red, and gold. Remind me when we get this all done to buy you a car like that."

He chuckled. "I'll be the one buying it."

"Well since you offer." She quipped back with a light punch on the shoulder.

Kagome got into the car and started it. Revving the motor a little bit before motioning for Inuyasha and Souta to get in.

"Uh, do you have a license?"

"Just got one about two months ago." Kagome said, shifting into gear.

"Ok."

Miroku walked up to the passenger window and Kagome rolled it down for him.

"Ok. So we are going to follow you. Are you going to head for storage or Inu's house?"

Kagome looked over at Inuyasha. "I have a small storage space rented. If you want we can stop there and sort through this. Store some stuff we don't need for right now."

"Up to you." Inuyasha said. Looking between the two.

"Storage it is." Kagome said. Remembering the parking brake was still up. She was about to put it down when Miroku spoke up again.

"Oh and before I forget. Sango was going to tell you but she fell asleep. Remember Kohaku, her brother? Well, we were thinking about this whole situation and the cops and all. Her bother is a cop... Chief actually. So she pulled him aside and told him not to worry about the two kids from the shrine, they were safe with friends. She also told him not to mention it to any media. So we don't have to worry about hiding from cops."

Inuyasha looked impressed. So did Kagome. She smiled and nodded a thank you. "Just follow us to the facility." She said, rolling up the window as he walked away.

"Did not see that coming." Inuyasha said as Kagome took out a CD case from the middle console. Thumbing through it to find her favorite CD. "Me neither. At least we don't have to worry about it."

"But what if it does leak out? That posses a problem." Inuyasha grumbled. Kagome placed a hand on his shoulder as Souta slowly fell asleep in the backseat.

"We'll worry about that when and if we come to it. For now, let's just get this done and over with."

Inuyasha nodded as Kagome put the CD into the player and pulled up along side the carrier. "Ready?" She mouthed. Miroku nodded. Kagome took the lead, leading them to the storage place.

=======

The large van and the smaller car were stopped at a gate as Kagome put in the code. The gate opened and both vehicles went through. Stopping in the far back near storage container number 9846. Miroku back the van so that the cargo bay was facing the door of the container.

He pulled a little further before turning off the van.

Kagome went to the trunk and pulled out a way oversized blanket, laying it out onto the ground. Miroku opened the back of the cargo carrier just as Sango was finally waking up.

Sango stepped out to find them all sitting on the blanket. A computer, DVD's, CD's and other items all separated into groups. She looked at the car to find Souta curled up in back. Kirara jumped off her shoulder an into an open window, curling up with the kid.

Kagome looked up and smiled at Sango. "Look who finally woke up."

Sango muttered something. "What was that?" Kagome asked.

Inuyasha spoke up. "Careful Kagome. Sango is not a morning person."

"So then she's a what… morning demon?" Kagome joked. Causing Sango to mutter some more.

"Nope. She makes demons like me cringe in fear this early in the day." Inuyasha joked. Holding up a book. "Stay or go."

"I read it so we can leave it here."

Inuyasha nodded. Picking up some of the items in the `to go' pile and placed them into the locker.

About an hour or so later they were done. Everything was packed and they were back on the road. Kagome had grown tired so now Inuyasha drove her car.

They had decided to avoid the five thirty traffic by taking the back roads to the city.

Inuyasha rounded a corner. Keeping his eyes pealed for cars and such. Suddenly a dear shoots out into the road. Inuyasha swerves to avoid it, but runs the car up an embankment, causing it to flip in the road.

It landed that way, causing the large truck behind it to stop quickly. Miroku launched himself out of the truck; running up to the car.

"Souta are you ok?" Kagome nearly yelled from her upside down position in the front seat.

"I'm ok."

"Inuyasha are you ok?"

No response.

"Inuyasha? Inuyasha!"

"Kagome?! Oh damn it! Hold on, we'll get you out!" Miroku yelled.

A moment later a loud snarl was herd as the car was suddenly torn apart by a changed Kirara.

Souta crawled out, seemly fine. Kagome dragged Inuyasha out. An ambulance was herd in the distance.

Did Kohaku tell everyone not to worry about us and that we are fine?

She hoped so.

She held Inuyasha's head in her lap. A small amount of blood coming from his right arm.

He seemed to be merely unconscious.

A small groan came from him a moment later. And he opened his eyes, to look right into Kagome's.

"God that was scary." Kagome whispered. "I thought you were gone."

"I'm not leaving Kagome. Not now… not ever."
