“What is there to do here?” Kagome asked as she and Sango walked over to the field.

 

“Nothing…” Sango said as they stopped at the field. “Normally we're training all day, and when we get a break it's usually to sleep or eat.”

 

“Then when do we get food?” Kagome asked they sat down on the grass.

 

Sango looked at the closest building where a clock was. “In about ten minutes.”

 

“This is not cool…” Kagome said as she looked around.

 

“I'm sure in a few days we'll be wishing for this back.” Sango said shaking her head.

 

“It's sad, but true…” Kagome said laying back.

 

“We're going to have to do that damned obstacle course and probably twice a day for a while…” Sango said as she looked around. “But we might be doing some running to protect our hides sooner then that.” Kagome sat up quickly to see Kikyo. “Look I know it's hard, but don't fight back, otherwise we'll be just as responsible.” Sango said under her breath before Kikyo got in earshot.

 

Kagome nodded and Kikyo walked up with an evil grin. “Hi Kagome, hi Sango.”

 

The two girls nodded looking away from each other.

 

“What's the matter don't want to talk to me?” Kikyo asked as she looked at the two.

 

“Sango I need to talk to you.” Miroku said from behind Kikyo.

 

Sango looked at Kagome, but Kagome smile and nodded telling her to go.

 

“Come on Kagome you can't be that sore with me.” Kikyo said sitting down where Sango had been.

 

Kagome stood up and went to walk away, but Kikyo said, “What's the matter Kagome, are you afraid.”

 

Kagome spun around to the now standing girl, growling at her. “Back off Kikyo.”

 

“Why? You can't defend yourself?” Kikyo said grinning at her.

 

“I don't have to stay here and take this.” Kagome said as she started walking away.

 

“What are you going to do? Go to Inuyasha and say you couldn't protect yourself because you were too weak to handle a miko.”

 

Kagome growled walking back up to her, “I'm not weak you du-“

 

“Kagome...” Inuyasha said warningly as he walked up to them.

 

Kagome snapped her head in his direction with a growl. When Inuyasha came up he put his arm around her waist, and Kikyo bowed excusing herself.

 

“Kagome, ignore her, or you're going to get in trouble.” Inuyasha growled, and nipped her ear. Kagome nodded and leaned into him. “Good, now let's go get something to eat.” Inuyasha said as he walked toward his cabin with Kagome.

“Inuyasha if you didn't notice we missed the bed again.” Kagome panted as he started attacking her neck with kisses. They had eaten and then got into a fight ending with a rather hot make out session.

 

“So we did.” Inuyasha panted as he brought his head up so he could look down at her. “How did this start again, because we should do this more often.”

 

“We're fighting Inuyasha.” Kagome said as she stretched underneath him.

 

“Oh yeah, what about.” Inuyasha said as he flipped them over letting Kagome use his chest as a pillow.

 

“You're forgetful, but about how I should deal with Kikyo. I still say Kee wouldn't care if I made it so she couldn't talk.” Kagome said stubbornly.

 

“She's money, he would, people like it when their slaves can talk, and say yes master.” Inuyasha said shaking his head. “One guy came in and had all the slaves he was looking at answer him. He picked the one that said yes master.”

 

“She was incredibly slutty, huh?”

 

“Yup.” Inuyasha said with a nod. “She was in the cabin next to mine and Miroku's.”

 

Kagome laid her head on her arms to get a better look at him and said, “I thought the trainers didn't share cabins, it doesn't seem like there are that many of you.”

 

Inuyasha sucked in a breath and said, “Well…”

 

“What's wrong Inuyasha?” Kagome asked as she moved off him, and sat on her knees looking at him.

 

Inuyasha sat up and pulled Kagome into his lap holding her close to him. “I wasn't always a trainer Kagome, neither was Miroku. I got caught while I was out one night…You see I wasn't exactly a law abiding citizen, I stole, killed, held someone for ransom once, she lived, I didn't care what I did. If you were vulnerable enough, why not, no one could stop me. Kee caught me wanting to see if he could train a strong full demon, I was someone no one cared about, most people were probably thrilled I had been taken, making some one a slave is as good as jail if not better. He had already trained some weaker demons, hanyous, and some female demons, but I just wouldn't give in; it came to the point that he had to whip me on a daily basis. He eventually gave up, said I could leave or train seeing as after a year there I knew everything, even the secrets that some of the staff didn't know. Later that month it became all girl, some of the guys left, other's stayed.”

 

“Why would you stay?” Kagome asked.

 

“I had no where else to go, and why not a free meal, if I wanted he'd let me leave any time, he pays me.” Inuyasha said as he nuzzled the top of her head.

 

Kagome let him hold her as she thought about what he said. “You did all those things?”

 

Inuyasha could hear and smell the fear coming from her. “Yeah I did.”

 

Kagome got out of his lap, and standing up, saying, “You killed people, and kidnapped someone, how could you do that, and be so damned blunt about it?!”

 

Inuyasha looked at her and stood up, “Because I'm not going to sugar coat it, I did what I did, I'm not proud of it anymore, but it's been done I can't change it.”

 

Kagome shook her head, her eyes tearing up.

 

Inuyasha reached his hand out but she slapped it away. “I'm sorry Kagome, but it's done, I can't change what I did.”

 

“Why did you do all that?”

 

“Why not, I could, and I did.” Inuyasha said pulling Kagome to him and holding her there even though she wanted to run. “Kagome I was different then, and did a lot of things I wish I hadn't.”

 

“What changed you? You can't just be one way and then the next day change.”

 

“You.” Inuyasha said letting her go. “Kagome what you saw of me before I marked you was nothing. Ask Sango, I had her running that course over and over again till she backed down. Sure I was easy on her compared to the other girls, but that was because Miroku had a thing for her.” Inuyasha now had Kagome up against the wall and was growling at her. “You see I was originally going to make your life hell, but you were different, so I just bugged you. I was just waiting for you to come at me, so I could fight you and see how long you would last.”

 

Kagome growled at him and tried to push him away. “Leave me alone.”

 

Inuyasha growled before moving away, “Kagome I'm your mate, do you hate me for something I can't change? Because even if you do that doesn't change what we are.” Kagome looked down at her feet and Inuyasha asked, “Well do you hate me?”

 

“No I don't.” Kagome said as she kept her eye's trained on the ground.

 

Inuyasha grabbed her chin and lifted it so she'd meet his gaze. “Do you?” He asked. He had a hurt look in his eyes, almost like a kicked dog.

 

“No I don't hate you…” Kagome said as she hugged him.

 

Inuyasha hugged her back, and kissed the top of her head.
