Kagome rolled over and came in contacted with the floor, with a thud. “Oww…” Kagome whined as she rubbed her arm.

“I thought that cats always landed on their feet.” Inuyasha said as he walked into the room.

“Not when they're sleeping while in the process of falling.” Kagome said as she got up and sat on the bed she had just fallen out of. “So how long have I been asleep?”

“Only about an hour.” Inuyasha said with a shrug. “Sango asked to speak with you; she's in your old cabin.”

“Ok I'll be back in a little while.” Kagome said walking out of the room after giving him a kiss. Kagome walked out of the door shutting it behind her, and then headed over to Sango's cabin. After knocking once Sango opened the door.

“Hey Kagome, come in.” Sango said letting her in, and then shutting the door behind her.

“So what did you want to talk about?” Kagome asked as she sat down on her old bed.

“Getting out of here.” Sango said with a smirk.

“Are you forgetting a little something about me?” Kagome asked pointing to her neck. “Inuyasha will know I'm up to something before I walk through the door.”

“Inuyasha will follow you that's the point; we'll all get out of here, Miroku too.” Sango said with a smile.

Kagome smirked at the thought. “It could work, but not a word to the boys' right.”

“Right do to the fact that Inuyasha is your mate and trainer, and Miroku is my trainer they'll be sent after us. I'm sure they'll keep following us till we're far away.” Sango said as she sat next to her. “Go ask Inuyasha if you can spend the night.”

“And what exactly am I going to say? “Oh Inuyasha I want to spend the night in my old cabin to paint my claws and gossip.” Come on Sango be serious.” Kagome said shaking her head.

“If you want to do such things please stay here.” Inuyasha said walking in the door.

Sango grinned at Kagome as she settled back down. “See it works.”

“I have a meeting to attend to so do me a favor and stay out of trouble.” Inuyasha said leaned down and giving her a quick kiss. “Keep her safe for me Sango.”

“I'm perfectly capable of taking care of myself.” Kagome said crossing her arms over her chest.

“If you say so, and yeah you can stay here tonight, see you in the morning.” Inuyasha said as he walked out the door.

“I had every intention of staying anyway.” Kagome said stubbornly as she shut the door behind him.

“Now that that's done.” Sango didn't go on because Kagome put her finger to her lips.

“Ok tell me the plan.” Kagome said as she walked back over to the bed.

“I don't really have a plan, just wait till around two in the morning, and then run for it.” Sango said pointing to the small clock on the table.

“Was this always here?” Kagome asked looking at the table.

“No, Miroku brought it in the other day.” Sango said looking at Kagome strange. “Nothing, not even a how can we do this with out a plan?”

“No, I like it.” Kagome said with a shrug. “It can't be too hard to get out of here.”

“Well normally no one tries, nothing around for miles, and they usually send a demon after you. Seeing as almost everyone here is a human no one tries for fear of being pummeled, eaten, or any mix of the two.” Sango said with a shrug.

“Well in that case you're the only one with something to worry about.” Kagome said with a joking smirk.

“I feel so loved…”

“I'll look after you.” Kagome said as she moved over to her old bed. “I spent one night in this bed, and it wasn't even alone.”

“But you found your mate, most people demon or not sometimes spend there hole life looking for who they're meant to be with.” Sango said leaning back against the wall.

Kagome smiled at that. “Yeah, that's true.”

“Sango, if we live through this I'm going to kill you!” Kagome yelled as they ran through the forest dodging all the traps that were sending arrows and a number of other weapons at them.

“I swear I didn't know!” Sango yelled as she ran for her life. “I was never told!”

“We're going to die I know it!” Kagome yelled as a big ax fell out of the trees right in front of her. “I've only said I love you to my mate once, and I'm never going to see him again!”

“We won't die.” Sango said jumping over the ax behind Kagome. Then an ax fell right behind her, “Ok we're going to die, and I didn't even tell the guy I like that I like him!”

Kagome yelped as a throwing star hit her in the arm. “How much money does this guy have?!”

“Too much!” Sango yelled up to her. “Kagome you're bleeding!”

“I know that!” Kagome yelled as she dropped to the ground avoiding an arrow, and then getting back up and running. “I just want my mate.” Kagome whimpered to herself. “I'll go back and take any punishment, I just want out of this!”

“Kagome we can't give up know!” Sango yelled as they made it into a clearing.

“I think we're safe.” Kagome said as she looked around. “Look at this…” Kagome walked up to a plaque that was on a tree.

It read:

Congratulation, you lived. Don't think you're free, we will get you.

Kee

“That's what he thinks.” Kagome said as she removed the throwing star from her arm. “I lived through that, and I will not be taken back.”

“What happened to you wanted to go back because you wanted out?” Sango asked as she followed Kagome.

“Shut up, I'm still not sure whether I should kill you.” Kagome growled.

“So where are we going?” Sango asked.

“There's running water somewhere up ahead.” Kagome said nodding her head. She was holding onto her arm in an attempt to stop the bleeding. “Do you know that there's a throwing star in your leg?”

“I'm dimly aware of it now.” Sango said looking down at it. “It doesn't hurt that much.” Sango added as she pulled it out.

“Adrenaline, wonderful thing isn't it?” Kagome said as Sango came up next to her.

“Does that hurt a lot?” Sango asked nodding at her arm.

“I can barely feel it.” Kagome said as they came up to a river. “Wonder where it goes.”

“Probably to a lake, I think I heard Inuyasha talk about it.” Sango said as they looked down at the water.

“Let's take a guess and say it's in that direction.” Kagome said walking in the direction that the water was flowing.

Sango nodded and followed her. “But why go to the lake?”

“So we're not just going in a straight line, because we're going to assume that there's some decent place to at least lay down…”

“And because you have no real reason to go there.” Sango finished.

“That too.” Kagome said with a nod.

After a while they came to a stop at a lake. It was pretty and would probably be much more appreciated if Sango and Kagome weren't in pain, and tired.

“Inuyasha's going to kiss me, then kill me.” Kagome said as she walked into the lake up to knees before dunking her arm in the water.

“I'm sure he won't kill you.” Sango said as she walked in far enough for the water to cover the wound on her thigh.

Kagome brought her arm out of the water and said, “I'm sure he'll think about it. He probably thinks I ran from him, with no intention of seeing him again.”

“I'm sure he doesn't think that.” Sango said as Kagome plunged her arm back in the water to numb the pain.

“Aren't you cold?” Kagome asked looking over at her friend.

Sango was in some shorts that ended about an inch below her knees and a tube top. “Kind of, but I'll ignore it till I can't fell my leg anymore.”

Kagome stood up and looked around, “Inuyasha and Miroku should be here…right about…”

“Kagome I can't believe you!” Inuyasha yelled as he landed in the water right in front of her. “You could have been killed!”

“Inuyasha you didn't have to run that fast!” An exhausted Miroku said as he ran up, and then over to Sango.

“Now…” Kagome finished. “Not quite Inuyasha.”

“And you got injured!” Inuyasha yelled as he inspected her arm.

“In no way does yelling at your injured mate help at all.” Kagome said as she started to lightly shiver.

Inuyasha picked her up and walked over to the side of the river a few feet over from where Sango and Miroku were. Once he sat her down and sat down next to her, he kissed her with everything he had, and she returned the kiss the same way. “I should kill you!”

“Wow…she was right.” Sango's voice reached the pairs ears.

“I'm sorry Inuyasha…” Kagome whined slightly.

Inuyasha snorted looking away from her. Inuyasha was taken back when Kagome hugged him fiercely and sobbed into his chest, “I was so scared Inuyasha! I thought I'd never see you again!”

“Shh…its ok, I'm right here…” Inuyasha whispered as he hugged her, and pulled her into his lap. “I won't let anything else happen to you.”

Kagome started to calm down as he rubbed her back. “I'm sorry Inuyasha, I wasn't leaving you. We knew you guys would come after us.”

“So, what, you wanted to give us some exercise?” Inuyasha asked as he looked down at her.

“No, it was our plan to get out of here, well more my plan.” Sango said from beside Miroku.

“Figured you were up to something.” Inuyasha said as he picked up Kagome and walked over to a tree and sat under it.

“So what are we going to do?” Kagome asked looking up at him.

“Finished what you two started.” Inuyasha said as he rubbed her ear briefly before putting his arm back around her waist.
