Chapter 8

His Dream

Kagome woke up scared. As soon as her eyes were open she sat up. She was breathing heavily. She was clutching her chest. Her dream was replaying in her head. How did he know about the other side of the well? She should go tell Sango and Miroku what was happening. She'd have to get Inuyasha first.

Inuyasha was awake as soon as she sat up. He was worried something had scared her. Was it another dream? He pulled her back down on the bed.

"What's wrong?"

"We have to go back to Sengoku Jidai right now." She started getting up out of bed.

"Why what's wrong?" He was getting irritated.

"Come on we have to go warn Sango and Miroku." She said.

Inuyasha grabbed her wrist and threw her on the bed. He then jumped on top of her so she couldn't get away. "Not until you tell me what's wrong."

Kagome blushed. He was straddling her waist. "We have to go now I'll explain on the way."

He leaned down so that his face was a breath away from hers and sniffed her. "Not until you calm down. You passed out at the mall earlier. You keep this up and it will happen even sooner."

"But…"

He nipped her neck. He kept his face buried in her hair. "Tell me what happened."

"Hojo knows about the other side of the well." She closed her eyes. She knew Inuyasha didn't like Him.

He started growling. He got up and looked at her. "What does that bastard want?"

She told him about the dream. She was a bit worried of how he would react. He was just staring at her now. Then all of a sudden he kissed her. She was caught off guard Again! He always seemed to do that when she was least expecting it.

His kiss was demanding but gentle. She didn't know what he wanted but he seemed to feel better when she kissed him back. He felt even better when it was her who deepened it. She was so into it she forgot he was sitting on top of her.

He released her mouth and started kissing his way to her neck. He sucked on it a while. He was listening to the noises she was making. He then stopped and looked her in the eyes. She was blushing.

"He's not going to get you Kagome I promise." He got off her bed and picked her up off the bed. "Come on let's get to the well."

Kagome packed her supplies. They then headed to the well house. He gave her a quick peck on the lips before jumping down the well with Kagome in his arms.

As soon as they were out of the well, Kagome was almost knocked back.

"Okaa-san, your back early. Did you bring me a present?" Shippo looked at her.

"Hai I brought you something but let's get to the village. I need to talk to Kaede-sama." They all started towards the village.

When they got to the village they quickly ran into the hut.

"Is there something wrong Kagome-sama, Inuyasha?" Miroku was looking at them with a worried look.

They all sat around the fireplace while Kagome told them about her dream. With each word Shippo clung to her more tightly.

"Okaa-san I don't want you to go anywhere. Your not going to go anywhere are you?" Shippo said with tears in his eyes.

"Of course she's not going anywhere runt. You know I wouldn't let anything happen to her." Everyone looked at him surprised. "What the hell are you staring for? It's true."

"We all know it's true it's just that none of us expected you to say it out loud." Said Sango.

"Feh"

"Kagome you didn't get hurt while you were over there did you?" asked Shippo.

"No why?"

"You have a little mark on your neck. It looks like a bruise." He started poking it.

Inuyasha just looked to see what he was poking at and smirked. "Feh that's nothing."

Kagome just blushed and looked at the floor. "Sit"

"Gah what the hell was that for?"

"Just… just because." Kagome stuttered. Her face was turning a brighter shade of red.

"Ah I see." Miroku said with a knowing look.

"What are you talking about Houshi-sama?" Sango asked.

"Inuyasha knows about the mark because he's the one that put it there. Am I right Inuyasha?"

"You think you know everything don't you bouzo?" Inuyasha asked with a smirk on his face.

He looked at him with a lecherous look.

Kagome then looked to Sango. With one look they knew what to do. Sango grabbed her weapon and hit Miroku with it while at the same time Kagome sat Inuyasha.

"We didn't do anything." They both said at the same time.

"That's for getting cocky." Said Kagome

"That's for being a hentai." Said Sango. "Come on Kagome-chan let's go take a dip in the hot spring.

Kagome nodded and grabbed her pack. As they walked out they both stepped on Inuyasha and Miroku's back.

When they got to the hot spring they got undressed and walked into the water.

"So are you going to tell me what happened or do I get to hear the hentai's version later?" Sango asked.

"Ok I'll tell you what happened." Kagome said while blushing.

As Kagome was telling her story, the guys were having a similar conversation.

"So how far did you go?" Miroku asked.

"We just kissed you pervert." He said.

"Really, then what's with the mark on her neck?"

"I did that this morning. She doesn't know anything about youkai mating so I won't go any further until she knows. I haven't been able to tell her because of all this weird shit that's been happening."

"Really then what happened? How did you get together?"

Inuyasha just smirked and started telling him what happened in her time.

"Wow Kagome-chan. That's very interesting." Sango said.

"You're telling me. He just started doing all that stuff a couple of days ago. Then I come here to find out about this mark?"

"He didn't bite you did he. Hard enough to draw blood?"

"No why?" They started getting dressed.

"Because that would mean he claimed you as his mate. Did he tell you about that?"

Kagome shook her head. "No all he told me was that I was his. Why is something wrong?"

"No, he'll probably talk to you about it later. Come on let's go start cooking. I'm hungry."

"Hai." With that said they walked into the hut.

After everyone had eaten they all took their places by the fire pit to talk about their travel plans for the next shard. Kagome was sitting next to Inuyasha with Shippo asleep in her lap. Sango and Miroku were sitting across each other and Kaede was mixing herbs in the corner.

"I heard that the shard was still in the village that you were going to travel to the last time you left. Although it's seems to have gotten more powerful." Kaede told them.

"Fine we'll leave tomorrow." Inuyasha said.

They all nodded and got ready for bed. Kagome laid out her sleeping bag and crawled in. Shippo then crawled under her shirt and got comfortable. Inuyasha then laid down next to her and put his arms around her waist.

He gave her a quick kiss and told her to go to sleep. "Oyasumi Inuyasha" Kagome said before drifting off. Inuyasha watched her sleep for a while before drifting off into a light sleep.

Inuyasha was in a dark place. He couldn't see or smell anything.

"Hello Inuyasha"

Inuyasha turned toward the voice and saw someone standing there. Someone he didn't like.

"What the fuck do you want?"

"Such a mouth. I hope you don't talk like that around Kagome."

"Stay the fuck away from Kagome." He barked.

"You see I can't do that. Kagome is mine. I will be coming to get her soon. So I suggest you say your goodbyes now."

"You won't even get within ten feet of her. Kagome is mine so stay the fuck away from her."

"Don't get in my way Inuyasha. Something bad might happen to you."

"If I even see you I'll kill you."

"It seems it will be the other way around. I'll becoming for her soon.."
