Chapter 19

Busy Day

Inuyasha was really getting tired of having to jump off Kagome and tripping. This would be the third time this happened.

"You have the worst timing." Inuyasha muttered.

"If you would've taken my advice. Did you enjoy yourselves?"

They both blushed. They got up and Ms. Higurashi sprayed them with the hose again. "Gomen, you've got mud all over you." She laughed.

"Come on Inuyasha we need to shower." Inuyasha just followed her to her room. "Do you want to go first?"

"No, you can go first."

"Arigato." Kagome grabbed a change of clothes and went to the bathroom. She adjusted the water and got in. After she soaked for a while she washed her hair and body. She got out and changed into her pajamas.

She walked into her bedroom with a towel for her hair and told Inuyasha his bath was ready. She dried her hair while Inuyasha was in the tub. She had the towel over her head and heard Inuyasha walk into her room.

"That was fa…" Kagome trailed off. Inuyasha was only wearing a towel. His body was dripping with water. His hair was plastered to his head.

"You didn't give me any clothes." Inuyasha said with a smirk.

"Oh." She quickly got up and went to her dresser to get him some clothes. She handed him some jeans and a sweater.

"That wouldn't be comfortable to sleep in."

She looked at the clothes she picked. She hated when he was right. "Pick some yourself then." She said and laid down on her bed to go to sleep. She had her back to him.

He put the clothes that Kagome took out away and climbed in next to her with just his towel on. He wrapped his arms around her and nuzzled her neck.

Kagome fell asleep and Inuyasha watched her sleep. He wondered if she knew that she was setting him off. It was getting harder and harder to control himself. He soon fell asleep.

Kagome woke up and the first thing she saw was Inuyasha's ears. His face was in between her neck.

She rubbed the ear closest to her. She heard him growl. His arms tightened around her waist and he flipped them over so that she was on the bottom. She looked at Inuyasha. He was still sleeping.

He started to kiss and suck on her neck. She gasped. That's when she realized it. Inuyasha was only wearing a towel. How it stayed on him all night she didn't know. She pushed him off the bed.

Inuyasha woke up. "What the hell did you do that for?"

"You went to sleep with a towel on." She said as she turned her back to him.

"So."

"What do you mean so? What if it came off?"

He turned her so her back was on the bed and straddled her. "What are you so worried about it for? We're mates."

He leaned down and kissed her. The kiss wasn't rough like yesterday. It was gentle. He nibbled her lips for entrance. She wouldn't let him in.

"What wrong with you?" He asked her. A little mad.

"I'm mad at you. Consider this your punishment." She said as she pushed him off of her and got some clothes. "You should change wouldn't want Okaa-san to see you in that." She left for the bathroom.

"That little bitch." She had never acted this way. He smirked and got up to change.

They went downstairs to the kitchen. They were eating breakfast. Ms. Higurashi broke the silence. "So, when will you be going?"

"Today after we eat. We might be gone for a long time though. We need to get something." She told her. "Or kill someone." She muttered.

Inuyasha heard her. No doubt she meant Hojo. He just ate his food.

When they were done eating they went upstairs to pack. Inuyasha was getting irritated. Every time he tried to touch her she would hit his hand or move out of the way.

"What the hell are you mad at me for?"

"Let's see you went to sleep with just a towel on and Okaa-san caught us. Three times!"

"That wasn't my fault."

"It was. You started it every time. So it's your fault."

"You can't blame me for something like that."

"Why not."

"The female never punishes the mate."

"Who thought that one up?"

"It's just the way it is. I should punish you for not letting me touch you. Your lucky I don't."

"What does this punishment involve?"

"Keep it up and you'll find out."

Kagome just looked at him. He sounded like he was making it up. She just ignored him and went back to packing.

They were done within fifteen minutes. They were on the way to the well. Inuyasha took the bag and walked with Kagome. When they reached the well Inuyasha grabbed Kagome and jumped in.

When they made it to the other side he ran to the hut with Kagome in his arms.

"I wonder when Kagome and Inuyasha will be back?" Shippo asked.

"Soon." Miroku said.

"I think they are here." Said Shippo.

Outside the hut you could hear them arguing.

"I could've walked you know."

"I know. But I want to leave as soon as possible."

They walked in and Kagome said hi to everyone and sat down. Inuyasha just sat down.

"So, I take it you want to leave now?" asked Miroku.

"I want that thing off of her now." Inuyasha said.

"You guys don't have to come. It's just to get some herbs and stuff. It's mostly about me."

"We want to go Kagome-chan. We are a group. It doesn't matter if it happened to you we still want to go."

"Arigato." Kagome said.

"Well then let's go. Sesshomaru said it's on the other side of the western lands. It will take about a week and a half if we go fast."

"Kagome-sama does your injuries not hurt?" asked Miroku.

"I forgot all about them. They don't hurt. I'm going to go to the river to look at it. I'll be back." She walked out of the hut.

"Maybe I should go with her." Sango said.

"She'll be fine. Besides Inuyasha went with her." Miroku said.

"I didn't see him leave with her."

"He went after she left."

"Oh."

Kagome made it to the river. She looked around. She knew Inuyasha would follow her. She had an idea of where he was.

"Sit." She heard the thump and then growling.

"What did you do that for?"

"If you wanted to come you could've just said so."

"Oh."

"I can't look at it with you here."

"I need to change your bandages."

"Oh." She took off her shirt and waited for Inuyasha to cut the bandages off. When he did she took the pieces off. She looked at her wound and nothing was there, just a scar.

"I'm healed."

"What do you mean you're healed? The wound shouldn't have healed for a couple of weeks."

He turned her around and looked. He ran his hand over where the wound would be. She was right. There was only a scar.

He put his arm down and kissed her. He nibbled her lips for entrance and she opened. The kiss was gentle. He smiled.

"Not mad anymore?" He smirked.

"Jerk." She said.

"Maybe you should put your shirt back on."

She looked down and blushed. She forgot she didn't have a shirt on when he kissed her. After she put her shirt on they walked back to the hut.

"I wonder how it healed so fast?" Kagome asked.

"I don't know let's ask Kaede-baba."

They arrived at the hut and sat down in the places they were in before they left. Kagome put the bandages in her pack.

"What's wrong?" asked Sango. She could see the confused looks on their faces.

"Kaede-sama I have a question to ask you." Kagome said.

"Your wounds have healed." Kaede said.

"Hai. How did you know?"

"You're a miko. If the wounds aren't too serious and the miko is strong the wounds will heal."

"Really?"

"Hai, I'll show you how to heal yourself faster. You may be able to heal the others too."

"Really can you show me now?"

"Hai, let's go in the back room. You'll need to listen very carefully."

They left to the back room when Shippo said something. "How come Okaa-san isn't sleepy?"

"She must be able to handle the magic that's in her now." Miroku said.

"We'll leave when she gets back."

They all waited patiently for Kagome and Kaede to come out. Miroku was trying to grope Sango and Shippo was asleep next to Inuyasha.

All of a sudden they heard screaming.

"Kagome!" They all said at once.
