Chapter 20

Leaving

They all ran into the room that Kagome and Kaede were in. Inuyasha was the first to get there. He grabbed Kagome.

"Kagome are you ok? What's wrong? What happened?"

"What are you talking about?" Kagome asked.

"You were screaming."

"Oh, that. I was happy. Kaede said that when we get back she was going to train me that's all."

They all fell to the floor. "That's it?" Inuyasha asked.

"Hai. Gomen to have worried you."

"As long as you're alright Kagome-chan." Said Sango. The girls walked away from them talking.

"Worried ne Inuyasha?" Miroku said.

"Shut up bouzo." They followed the girls.

"So shall we leave now?" asked Kagome.

"Yeah let's go. We wasted enough time today." Inuyasha said.

"It's not my fault Inuyasha. I learned how to heal myself faster. And if my magic is strong enough I might be able to heal you guys. Or at least help your injuries a little bit." Kagome said.

"I wasn't talking about that. I was talking about your screaming."

"Oh, gomen."

"Feh" Inuyasha said.

They soon stopped at a clearing to eat lunch. The girls wanted to go to the hot spring that was near by for a dip. As much as the boys protested the girls went.

"Can I come?" Shippo asked.

"Sure you can Shippo." Kagome and Sango said.

"May I come too?" Miroku asked.

As soon as those words left his mouth Inuyasha and Sango hit him in the back of the head.

"Itai, it was just a question."

"You know better than that Miroku-sama." Kagome said.

"Know better than what? We are all adults here. It's nothing I haven't seen before."

Kagome and Sango hit him once again in the head. Inuyasha also hit him once he was on the ground.

Shippo jumped on his head and looked at him. "You just don't know when to stop do you Miroku?"

Kagome, Sango, and Shippo all walked down to the hot spring. Miroku sat up and leaned against a tree rubbing his head.

"I understand why the girls hit me but why did you hit me Inuyasha?"

"You wanted to look at Kagome?"

"Ah but don't you want to see her too? Or have you seen enough of her in her time?"

Inuyasha started growling.

"Oh, so you haven't gotten anywhere with her have you?"

"Bouzo you're going to get it." Inuyasha started chasing after Miroku towards the river.

Sango was about to get undressed and Kagome had just stepped into the water when Miroku and Inuyasha fell into the river.

"Hentai." They both screamed and hit them. Kagome ran to her clothes and grabbed a towel and wrapped it around herself.

"Oi, I thought you said you were going to the hot spring?" Inuyasha asked.

"We were but Shippo said the river was closer." Kagome said.

Miroku just stared at Kagome. Sango walked over to him and hit him on the head. That was it for the monk. He was unconscious.

"Looks like we'll be bathing later Kagome-chan. I'll drag Houshi-sama back to camp while you get dressed." Sango said while dragging the monk behind her.

"Hai" Kagome said. She walked over to her pack and grabbed her clothes. She looked at Inuyasha. "I need to change so go away."

He folded his arms and turned around. "No, I'll wait. Get dressed now."

Kagome just sighed and turned around to get dressed. There was no way she could make him leave so she didn't even try.

"Let's go Inuyasha." She grabbed her pack and started walking.

"Oi, wait for me." Inuyasha yelled and followed her.

Shippo popped out from under water. "Where did they go?"

As soon as Shippo got back to the camp they all sat down and waited for Miroku to wake up. Inuyasha got tired of waiting.

"Wake up bouzo." He yelled.

"Inuyasha I don't think that will work. Do you think he was wounded badly?" Kagome asked.

"Houshi-sama has a hard head. We did hit him a lot today. Maybe we should check." Sango said.

Kagome walked up to him and kneeled beside him. She felt his head for lumps. Surprisingly there were none. Then she felt a hand on her butt.

She squealed and backed up. Inuyasha was behind her as soon as she squealed.

"What's wrong?" He asked.

"He groped me."

Inuyasha grabbed the monk by his robes. "What did I tell you about touching Kagome? I know you're awake so stop pretending."

Miroku opened his eyes. "She was touching me so I thought it only fair to be able to touch her in return."

Inuyasha hit him in the head and dropped him. "Don't touch her again. I'm letting you off easy this time."

"Hai, hai. My apologies." Miroku said raising his arms in defeat. "I still have the lovely Sango."

"Touch me and die Houshi-sama." Sango said narrowing her eyes at him.

"You never learn do you Miroku." Shippo said while shaking his head.

They all packed up and left. Kagome and Shippo on Inuyasha's back, Miroku and Sango on Kirara.

They had traveled the rest of the day without any problems. They made camp and went to sleep. Miroku and Sango on one side of the camp while Kagome, Inuyasha and Shippo were on the other.

Inuyasha was in a dark place with tetsusaiga transformed out in front of him. He then recognized the place from his last dream and put the tetsusaiga away.

"What the fuck do you want this time?"

"You and your mouth Inuyasha. I see you haven't learned any manners."

"Shut up and tell me what you want."

"No patience either I see. I just wanted to tell you I know what you are up to."

"We aren't up to anything."

"Lies. I know you are trying to take my mark off Kagome. You can't do that."

"I can and will."

"You can't. You see that mark is to punish her, my mate. Ever since she got it she has been behaving. I can see her all the time."

"She is not your mate, she's mine. You obviously can't be watching her all the time."

"What are you talking about? Of course I can."

"Sure, that's what you want us to think isn't it?"

"Watch it hanyou. I could kill you at anytime."

"Why don't you then?"

"I have plans for you in the future. Keeping you alive is part of our deal."

"Whose plan?"

"Mine and someone I know."

"Who is that?"

"You'll find out soon enough. I just wanted to let you know that I know what you're up to. I will stop you."

Inuyasha woke up growling. He snatched Kagome and hugged her tight.

"What's wrong Inuyasha?" Kagome asked. She looked around. The others were awake now too because of him.

"That son of a bitch knows what we are trying to do. He says he's going to stop us. It seems like he's made a deal with someone." Inuyasha said.

"Made a deal? With who?" Miroku said.

"I don't know but always be on guard. Go back to sleep."

Inuyasha laid down with Kagome and held on tight to her. Everyone was falling asleep one by one. Finally satisfied that there were no threats around him he went to sleep.
