Chapter 28

Meeting Hojo

Kagome was mad. The youkai dragged her all the way to the cave just to get his things then leave. They had been walking all day. Well the youkai had. Kagome tried running away again and the youkai got mad and threw her over his shoulder.

It was about time for lunch but the youkai wouldn't stop. Kagome didn't even know if he would give her anything to eat. She hadn't said a thing since they started walking. She just let him carry her.

She didn't want to get hit again. She probably had bruises all over her arms and legs from fighting with him. She was tired. She couldn't even put up a shield. She had tried to use it when he came running at her. She only succeeded in getting knocked out for about an hour or two.

He rarely spoke either. The only time he said anything was to threaten her. The way he had acted he would carry out on some of those threats. She wondered if Shippo made it to the village safely.

"We'll be there soon so stop fidgeting." The youkai said.

"You know you could've saved yourself a lot of trouble if you would've just left me alone. Why are you doing this anyway? How did Hojo get to be your master?"

"That's none of your business so shut up."

"Hmph. I was just trying to make conversation."

"Yeah well it's annoying."

"What's annoying? I'm just trying to lighten the mood. The least you could've done was let me walk on my own."

"You'll run away again."

"I will not."

"You will too."

"How would you know?"

"You did it the last three times."

"Well this time I won't."

"I'm not taking the chance. It's a pain in the ass to chase you."

"Yeah well you try getting kidnapped and taken to someone you don't even want be near."

"Will you shut up?"

"No."

"If you don't shut up I'll make you shut up."

Kagome just kept her mouth shut. She didn't want to have to deal with him. She only talked to him to annoy him. Annoy him she did. He was going to regret kidnapping her.

Inuyasha was holding Shippo jumping from tree to tree. So far there were no signs of Kagome's `marks' she said she would leave. He could smell her though. It was faint but enough to know where she was heading.

Sango and Miroku were on Kirara in the air. They were worried about Inuyasha. It seemed if he didn't find Kagome soon he would lose it. That would not be a sight to see. They were doing the best they could not to irritate the hanyou.

Youkai were not to be messed with when they were mad, especially when it involved their mate.

They had been traveling since before sunrise. They hadn't even taken a break. They were too afraid to lose Kagome's scent. They hoped they would find Kagome soon and unharmed.

"We're here." The youkai said. He put Kagome down.

Kagome turned around. They were standing in front of a huge castle. Kagome looked up. The gates were about twenty feet high. They suddenly opened and a youkai came out.

"You're early."

"Yeah well I would've been here sooner but this annoying bitch wouldn't stop trying to run away."

"Hey." Kagome said. She hit him in the back of the head.

"Why you little." He said.

The other youkai stopped him. "You know Hojo-sama will get mad if you hurt her."

The youkai shot her a dirty look.

"What did the weak little human hurt you that bad?" He said in a mocking voice.

"I'd like to see you deal with her all day. She does hit pretty hard for a human."

"Like that weak human bitch could hurt me."

Kagome had had enough. She just punched the demon right in the face. He looked at her and was about to hit her back when a hand stopped him.

"What did I tell you about hurting her?"

Kagome looked away. She knew that voice.

"Hello Kagome. I'm glad to see you finally made it. You guys get back to work."

"Hai Hojo-sama." They both said and left.

Kagome looked at Hojo. He was wearing his school uniform. He didn't look any different than when he was in her time. She just glared at him.

"Don't look at me like that. I should be giving you that glare. You did mate with that pathetic hanyou."

"He is not pathetic, and so what if he's a hanyou? No doubt he's stronger than you." Kagome said.

"Ah Kagome. You're just adding to your punishment you know that? Let's not talk about that right now. Lunch will be ready soon. I'm sure you'll want a bath and some new clothes."

"I don't want anything from you." Kagome said and crossed her arms.

"Well that's too bad. If you don't do it I'll just help you." He smirked.

"I'll do it myself then." Kagome said. There was no way she was going to let him touch her.

"Fine then. Hiko." He called.

"Hai Hojo-sama." A human boy about twelve years old popped out of no where.

"Show Kagome to the baths and get her some clean clothes. You remember where they are right?"

"Hai."

"When she's done show her to her room."

"Hai."

"I'll see you at lunch Kagome." Hojo said. He walked around a corner.

"Follow me Kagome-sama."

She followed him. She didn't want Hojo to change his mind and help her. Besides she was hungry. She hadn't eaten since lunch the day before. They were in such a rush to get to the well they didn't stop for dinner.

"Here is the baths and I'll be right back with your clothes."

Kagome wanted to run away but there was nowhere to go. She could feel youkai all over the place. Then the boy came back.

"Here are your clothes. If you need anything I'll be waiting outside this door. Everything you need should be inside."

Kagome walked in the room. She looked around. There was a hot spring in the middle of the room. She bathed quickly. She didn't want to take the chance of anyone coming in. She then got dressed.

The clothes that were given to her was a kimono. It was white with sakura petals all over it. She grabbed her other clothes and left the room. There was the little boy waiting for her like he said he would.

"You're done now Kagome-sama?" The little boy asked.

"Hai."

"Follow me. I'll show you to your room." He walked down the hall. Kagome followed. They walked down the hall and up the stairs around a corner and into another hallway. He finally stopped at a door and opened it.

"Here is your room."

Kagome walked in. The room was huge. It had a big bed in the middle. The bed was from her time. She looked toward the wall there were dressers and a vanity mirror. The room was white and the floor was black.

"Hojo-sama says to stay here until lunch. It should be ready soon. My name is Hiko. If you need anything just call my name I'll be waiting outside your door." He shut the doors.

Inuyasha and the others were still trying to find Kagome. They must've been getting close because Kagome's scent was getting stronger. They hoped they would get to her soon.

"Inuyasha have you thought about what you would do when we find Kagome-sama?" Miroku asked.

"I'm going to tear the bastard who did this to shreds." Inuyasha said with a growl.

"As usual you don't have a plan." Miroku said with a sigh.

"It's your job to come up with the plans." Inuyasha said.

"Houshi-sama are you trying to get him angry? You've made him mad enough already." Sango said.

"Hai, hai I'll stop."

"Otou-san, we will get Okaa-san back right?" Shippo asked.

"Hai, we will." Inuyasha said while patting Shippo's head.

"Kagome-sama lunch is ready." Hiko said knocking on her door. He opened the door and looked around. Kagome was gone and the window was opened.

Kagome looked back at the window and took off running. She didn't know where she was going. Her ankle had gotten hurt from jumping out the window. She was running with a limp.

She looked behind her only to run into something solid. Or more like someone. She looked up only to see Hojo.

"Trying to run away?" He asked.

Kagome didn't say anything. It wouldn't matter if she said anything anyway. Hojo grabbed her by her neck and lifted her off the ground a little.

"Answer me when I talk to you." He said and let go.

Kagome fell to the ground with a thud. Her hands went to her neck. She coughed.

"See what your making me do. I don't want to hurt you but your actions cannot go unpunished. Let's go to lunch." He picked her up and threw her over his shoulder.

He carried her throughout his house and walked through a door. He set her down in a chair and sat himself down at the other end.

"I was right about that kimono. It looks great on you. I have some other clothes for you to change into for dinner. We'll be having some guests. They should be arriving soon. I suggest you not eat too much since you wasted most of the time trying to get away."

Kagome just stared at her plate. She didn't want to look at him.

"The dress I have for you to wear is from your time. You may find it more comfortable than the outfit your wearing now."

"What do you mean my time?" Kagome asked.

"I have lived through this time. I was always seeking power. I found it in you. I found out that you could travel through time in the well at your house. I couldn't go through. I found another way in and made a deal with someone so that I could go here and there whenever I wanted."

"Whom did you make the deal with?"

"That is none of your concern. Now eat. I must prepare for when our guests arrive."

"Who exactly are these guests?"

"Why your friends of course."

Kagome looked up. They were coming. What was he going to do to them? What did he have planned?

When they were finished eating Hojo asked Hiko to take Kagome to her room to get ready for dinner.

"Dress nice Kagome." Hojo said.

Kagome followed Hiko back to her room.

"Someone will be in very shortly to help you get ready." He closed the doors.

Inuyasha had finally made it to the castle. Everyone looked up at the gates. They would just have to go over it. Inuyasha was just about to leap over the wall when the gates opened.

"Ah Inuyasha-sama. Hojo-sama has been expecting you. Follow me. The others as well you've also been expected."
