Secret Santa

 

It was Kagome's first Christmas time away from her family, and at the miko's insistence, the former members of the Inu-gang held a “secret Santa,” where each person was assigned to provide a gift for one other person. At Rin's insistence, Sesshoumaru and Jaken were invited/forced to participate. Jaken only started to worry when he learned the identity of his “secret Santa.”

 

“You know, Jaken,” Miroku drolled, the tone of his voice and the mischievous twinkle in his eye causing a cold sweat to break out on the toad's forehead. “You seem uptight all the time. I have just the thing!” Reaching into his robes, the monk pulled out a small green frog with black spots.

 

“And what am I supposed to do with that?” Jaken asked, already knowing the answer. The widening of the monk's perverted smirk confirmed it.

 

“You sick bastard!” he yelled in outrage.

 

“What, she's not your type? Well, I brought a few more,” Miroku replied, producing a rather ugly mottled brown toad and a black newt. Then he pulled out an enormous russet-colored salamander, easily the length of his entire arm.* Jaken stared slack-jawed for a moment before shaking his head and breaking out of his stupor.

 

“Now, see here—”

 

“Jaken, I can tell when a guy needs to get laid. And you, my friend, need to get laid. Badly.”

 

Jaken thought about arguing, but the monk was right. Grumbling, he snatched the salamander out of his hands and stalked off into the woods.

 

 

* (nerd alert) Japanese Giant Salamander - they get to 5 feet long
