Inuyasha rode atop the train, letting the wind whip through his hair as he stared out over the city. His city, which he had sworn to protect. And protect it he would, like a gallant phantom in the night, for the rest of his days.

Souta sat back in his chair, staring blankly at the computer screen. It was finally finished. The first ever Inuyasha fanfiction!
It had taken him awhile to get the story off the ground, but eventually he crafted a tale of action and adventure starring his favorite hanyou in the modern era. Inuyasha saved a woman from getting hit by a car, and so began his life of devotion to the city his friend Kagome called home. In all honesty, he hoped the two of them got together, but there was no way in hell he was writing about it.
Souta excitedly started printing out copies. What was fanfiction if you couldn’t share it?
“Hey, kid!” Inuyasha called from Kagome’s room, grinning at him when he appeared in the doorway. “That story was pretty good.”
Souta blushed at the compliment, floored that his idol had enjoyed his fanfiction.
“Well, of course you liked it,” Kagome snapped irritably. “All he had me doing was getting kidnapped and waiting for you to rescue me.”
“That’s what happens everyday in real life,” Inuyasha teased.
Kagome growled, but refused to be distracted from her studying. She listened as Inuyasha and Souta started brainstorming ideas for a sequel, and shook her head. Boys…
