Kagome stared at the note. Then she glanced at her phone and went back staring at the number. Her hand started to shake so badly that she couldn't read the number.
`Oh my gods…oh my gods…what do I do?' she questioned herself. She flopped onto her bed, still looking at the number, but her hand was steady.
She took a deep breath. Kagome reached for her phone and stared at the keypad while the dial tone was going on and on. Then she dialed the number.
Ring ring…ring ring…ring ring…
Kagome was about to hang up when she heard a voice saying, “Moshi moshi.”
“Um, hi…this is Kagome…”
“Hey Kagome. I was wondering when you would call me.”
Kagome's face flushed. Is this the same InuYasha that was depressed not even an hour and a half ago?
She cleared her throat. “Oh really?”
“Yeah, I snuck it in your jeans pocket pretty quickly and stealthily so no one would notice. If they ever did, I would never hear the end of it,” InuYasha replied.
“Um, ok. So when are you guys going to Massachusetts?” Kagome asked.
“We're going there right now. I'm in the bathroom talking to you since all the guys are sleeping,” he answered.
Kagome snorted out laughing. InuYasha smiled on the other side of the phone.
`Her laugh sounds more beautiful than Kikyo's,' he thought and then cringed. He swore to himself that he wouldn't think about her, it was too painful. He loved her deeply and then she dumped him like throwing away a precious doll. InuYasha missed her long silky hair and doe brown eyes. He missed the way she kissed him while laying a hand behind his neck when she was going deep into it. Now it's all gone! The night she broke up with him with no passion was the night he was going to propose.
Then he met Kagome backstage. She looked like Kikyo. But she seemed warmer. Unlike Kikyo, she had beautiful hazel eyes, and her hair seemed soft and soft. It also smelled like sweet honeysuckle. He kind of fell head over heels.
To him, she had a homey feeling around her or just to say that she had a comfortable aura around her. He just wanted to lay his head on her lap and pour out his heart.
Kagome stopped laughing. “I'm sorry. I never heard of a person doing that before. I better go so you can sleep for tomorrow's show. Good luck and good night!”
“Bye…” Then hung up.
Kagome hung up on her end of the line.
InuYasha was oddly chattier. But he sure hung up quickly. She wondered what that was all about. Would she ever? She sighed and went under the covers.
Before she fell asleep, she was replaying the concert. The performance was amazing. Then she was thinking about meeting the band. That was awesome! They seemed so sweet. Maybe she would get to them again some day.
Ha! Then she was chuckling at what Miroku said to Sango. Kagome would have to ask her cousin if she called him. She probably did knowing her.
She yawned and then went to sweet dreamland.
