InuYasha Fan Fiction ❯ Thankful ❯ Danger Zone ( Chapter 4 )

I know, I’m a bad writer. I haven’t updated in God only knows how long. I’m still working on moving (which by the way almost seems like after I start school!! I live thirty minutes away from my new house and about ten more minutes away from my new school, not to mention school starts at 6:45 AM!! And then I’ll have swimming practice after and wont get home till 7 pm if we still live here!! Anyway….) and all that junk. Mom’s got her open house tomorrow so that should be fun! (NOT!!) Puppy still needs a lot of attention. I got back from Camp almost a week a go. Now for my really lame excuse. I’ve been caught up in other peoples fics. I found another site that has some Twilight (by Stephanie Meyer.) fics that I’ve been into a lot lately. I suggest the book to anyone who loves to read fiction. And her new book (New Moon) to the series is coming out sometime at the end of this month!! So read it if you like fiction.

This chapter is a bit short and I’ve had it on my computer for a while but I just can’t think of anything else to put into it. I’m already thinking of the next chapter and hope to have it up soon. I hope you like my story so far.

Danger Zone

“Inuyasha.” Kagome said in an exasperated voice.

“What?! I still don’t see why you insisted on us going with out the others!”

“Inuyasha, haven’t you figured it out yet?”

“Figure out what?”

“Sesshomaru is having a hard time with the wolf clan of the north.”

“Yeah so what, how does that involve us?” he said in an aggravated tone.

“The issue is on mating Inuyasha.” Kagome said bluntly.

“So?”

“Who do we know from the wolf clan of the north?” there was a pause. “Ayame!?”

“Who?” came the innocent answer.

“Kami-sama! God Inuyasha! How could you have forgotten about her?!” yelled Kagome in frustration. “Ayame was the wolf girl who had red hair and green eyes and she was pissed cause Koga was acting as if I was his mate!!”

“You mean that same one who like claimed that Koga had already promised that he would marry her?”

“YES!!” Kagome said with glee that he finally figured it out.

“Well what in that damn hells are we….” Inuyasha started but was blocked out of her hearing after that point.

‘that damn arrogant, over protective, swearing baka!! How can he be so oblivious!!?’ Kagome thought to her self. She cleared her mind and spoke clearly, “Inuyasha.” she began with so much patients it started to scare Inuyasha. “Have I given you too much credit?”

“What are you talking about women?”

“Piece it together baka. Wolf tribe + mating issues + the north tribe + having us being there to help the situation out. Equals??…”

“Mangy wolf.” Inuyasha said with resentment.

“Inuyasha! Don’t be so rude!” was all she said. She would have sat him for it, but being that she was on his back, she wouldn’t risk it.

After Inuyasha really got what was going on around him he ran twice as fast as before. He was in no hurry of course, being that he knew what lay ahead of him. Both people he really would have liked to stay away from. Sesshomaru and Koga.

The trip would be long and it started to get dark. Both Inuyasha and Ronin slowed down and finally came to a place to set up camp for the night.

Kagome who had fallen silent from her anger with Inuyasha had gone to take care of the gathering of the wood for the fire, and some water for the cup of noodles that they had brought with them for the trip. Inuyasha and Ronin had left for the stream to clean themselves up a bit from all the running in the woods. They had run into a few mud puddles that they hadn’t noticed and had it all over them. Kagome got lucky because it was Inuyasha who had to fall into it and sledge through it. She only had a few spots on her face which she took care of when she went to gather some water to boil.

After the camp was set up and the water was heating Inuyasha came over to Kagome’s side. He held his head down and his ears were flattened on his head.

“Kagome?” he said her name with a small pleading in his voice.

“Inuyasha.” she acknowledged with a dry voice.

“I’m sorry.” he said with a small voice so only she could hear him.

“I forgive you Inuyasha.” she said with a little more compassion in her voice. “There’s more things to worry about right now than our stupid little fret anyways.”

“Yeah. With Sesshomaru being involved with this whole ordeal it must be important.”

“You have figured it all out right?”

“Whadda ya mean Have it figured it all out?”

“I mean the whole situation. The wolf tribe is angry but they simply wont come and find us, but go to Sesshomaru to complain about it. If it’s all about these strange triangles and only You, Koga, Ayame, and I are in them then why involve Sesshomaru?”

“They believe that he can do something about it.” Ronin stepped in.

‘Oh yeah Sesshomaru would make it all better of course!’ Kagome thought with sarcasm.

“And how is he sposta do that?!” said a cocky Inuyasha.

“Every time we see Sesshomaru the boy’s go at it.” Kagome stated.

“He wasn’t in a bad mood. He had a gleam in his eyes that looked like he knew something they didn’t. Like he had a wild card and the others didn’t know about it.” Ronin exclaimed.

‘Does Sesshomaru know?’ Kagome thought. Inuyasha gave her a look like he was thinking the same thing. The only ones who really knew completely well about Kagome and Inuyasha’s matting were Sango, Miroku, Shippo, Kirara, and Kaede. Though the whole village had noticed their closer relationship.

‘How would he know?’ Kagome thought off hand. ‘No one would have told him. There was no one who would tell him or know him well enough to tell him.’

They ate their ramen and went to bed. Kagome nestled in Inuyasha’s arms. He didn’t seem to mind too much, though he really hadn’t wanted Ronin to be around.

The next morning they broke camp and headed out for the Castle of the Western Lands. Inuyasha seemed worried the whole run, but Kagome had made him soften up a bit by hugging him, as much as could be a hug being that she rode on his back.

Ronin and Inuyasha had a pretty equal pace the whole time. Once the land started to open up from the forest they were traveling in there was a wondrous sight. The grass was a beautiful deep green. There were wild flowers all around and gigantic purple mountains. The ocean air could be smelt and it lingered along with all the wondrous sweet smells of the flowers. Not to far off in the distance (though it was a pretty good run away.) you could see the roof tops of a palace.
