AN: this is before sango and miroku knew about inuyasha's transformation. Parietti, I know there kinda blah. It wont be better till about the 4th or 5th chap. The other chapters before then I wrote last year. I’ll try and fix them.
Chapter 3
kagome woke the next morning to find that everyone had woke up and wasready to go. “ why didn’t you get me up?” kagome asked furiously as she started jamming things back into her pack.
“ because this idiot here. “ sango supplied pointing to inuyasha.
“ told us to. Or in his words, ‘ leave her the fuck alone!’ damn you’dthink we were trying to kill you.”she shook her head and sighed.
Kagome turned to Inuyasha. “ Arigato Inuyasha..” Kagome whispered.
She only got a “Feh” out of him. He turned around so that she wouldn’t see his red face. “Come on.” He grunted, walking outside of the cave.
The others followed when they saw Kagome was ready. Inuyasha let them pass so that they were in front of him.
As Sango passed him she hissed.” didn’t want her to see how much you cared?”
Sango continued on leaving behind a very surprised Inuyasha. He shook his head and hurried after them. Sango was just thinking crazy thoughts. There was no way her cared for that wench...was there? With these thoughts occupying his head, they set out heading towards the village rumored to have a youki problem.

It was around noon when they stopped for lunch. Kagome had brought Ramen noodles, Inuyasha’s favorite. He sat down with them and began to eat. Kagome was talking with Sango and they were talking over strategies they might use
“ well .” Sango was saying. “ It depends on the size of the youki. And how strong he is.” kagome nodded in agreement and Sango continued. “ we should be able to take it down without a problem. Considering that a stubborn hanyu will cooperate.” Sango said glaring at inuyasha.
‘maybe I should hint to kagome...’ “ well Sango it just so happens that I might not go along with your little plan. Depends on what day the youki comes and what moon cycle. See my moods change very fast.” Inuyasha stressed the moon cycle bit and looked at kagome hoping she would get the hint.
At first kagome looked confused but then remembered the little incident with the spider heads. A look of understanding then furry swept across her. Boy was he going to get it now. He braced himself as she stood up and walked over to him.
“ inuyasha...” she said sweetly, as she always before sitting him. He quickly stood up and silenced her with his fingers.
“ look im sorry kagome.” he started ignoring the gasps and surprised
looks on everyone’s faces. “ I just remembered last night. Please don’t get pissed. “ he figured this was the best way to avoid getting sit. He prayed that he was right.
“ what are you guys talking about?” sango asked, looking back and forth between inuyasha and kagome.
“ its nothing sango, forget about it.” inuyasha said.
“ does this have anything to do with you being human on the new moon?” miroku asked.
“ yes but... hey wait a minuet... how do you know?” inuyasha looked at kagome.
She shook her head. “ then who else? Shippo !!!” inuyasha growled.
He pulled the little kitsuine out from behind kagome. “ did you tell miroku?!” he asked angrily.
Shippo cowered in fear. “ well....well.” he stammered.
“ spit it out!” inuyasha yelled
“ im s...s ....sorry! It just after what happened with the spider heads I was afraid that if you went human and no one knew then the same thing would have happened!” shippo sniffed, he looked as if he was going to cry.
Inuyasha put him down. “ next time tell me when your going to tell someone about my life. Ill pound you then.”
Kagome picked up shippo. “ you could be a little more understanding!“ she yelled at inuyasha. “ he was only worried that someone might get hurt!”
Inuyasha was taken back by the fact the kagome looked like she was on the verge of tears. “ wha... what do you mean?” inuyasha was confused by her emotions. She seemed a little sad and scared at the same time. “ you almost died last time baka !!! you think I...we want the same thing to happen again?! If you die....” kagome looked away.
Inuyasha could smell the salt water tears running down her face. Suddenly, she started picking up the leftovers and packed them away. “ lets go...” she said quietly as she started heading in the direction of the village they were to find a demon. Sango, shippo and kirara followed her.
Sango understood because she had grown up in a demon village. She understood the transformations of hanyus. However she was wasn’t surprised to find that inuyasha hadn’t told anyone. When a hanyu is in their human form, their vulnerable. So naturally he would want to keep it a secret. ‘But
what was that all about? Kagome was truly worried, what happened last time?’ Sango walked up next to kagome and whispered. “What happened last time kagome?”
(The next paragraph is just a review what happened)
“ well...” kagome said quietly “ we were staying at a temple when
spider heads attacked. We fled but I accidently left the jewel shards in the temple. “ she sighed. “ Inuyasha had turned human and miyoga explained to me and shippo why. After Inuyasha and Shippo went back to the temple but came face to the main spider head and he swallowed the shards. Inuyasha went to attack him but was caught and poisoned. I went up along with a young girl who lived at the temple. We found inuyasha who was hanging on for his life and had to use the tessiga to free him. We then fled to a small room and Myoga told me to thrust the tessiga in the door. He then sucked some of the poison out and the rest was left up to inuyasha if he wanted to survive. Well he did and we ended up defeating the spider head. “ kagome sighed again.

Sango looked at her friend and saw the tears. “ its ok kagome. There are more of us now so you don’t have to worry.”Kagome nodded and wiped away the tears.
Meanwhile inuyasha had been listening to the girls and sighed. ‘I guess Sango is right. There are more of us she shouldn’t worry.” He sighed again and the rest of the day proceeded in silence except for the thud of Inuyasha’s fist on shippo’s head and kagome’s sit that followed after.

It was nearly night fall as the manor came into view.
“kagome...” miroku said “ I see a ominous cloud hanging over the manor. Shall I inform the lord that lives here?” (Hehe)
Sango slapped him up side the head. “ I will talk to the guards. So you can keep quiet.”
As Sango approached the guards one of them stepped forward. “ halt! Who are you and what business do you have here?”
Sango motioned for the others to stop as she approached the guards. She bowed and looked him in the eye. “ I am Sango of the demon exterminators.” she said as her father taught her to. “ we have come in search of a demon rumored to be causing harm to your village. We wish to be of some service of your lord. “ sango awaited his reply.
The guard looked her over and nodded. “ yes I can see that you are a
true demon exterminator, unlike the others who our young lord chose to
battle the demon. However you’ll have to see our lord for hiring.” he turned to a young boy. “ you! Take these guest to the young lord.” the boy nodded and motioned for them to follow. Sango bowed and the rest followed the young boy to the castle. Before sango passed the guard he whispered into her ear. “ be careful milady. His advisor is not to be trusted.”
Sango was about to turn around when kagome grabbed her hand. “ were going to lose them.” Sango nodded and ran with her to catch up, pausing only once to look back at the guard, who was now looking across the road for dangers.
The young boy led them through the maze of the castle until they reached a door. He knocked three times. They heard a sound from withing and the boy opened the door. He motioned for them to enter and shut the door behind him. The place was nicely decorated and in the center sat a young lord and next to him was a younger man with eyes that shone like the moon.
Sango stepped forward and introduced herself all the while keeping an eye on the advisor. She knelt before the lord, “ I am Sango...last of the demon exterminators." she gulped and continued. " We have come to aid you against the demon that plagues your village.”
The lord stood and walked towards Sango. He lifted her face and looked into her eyes. “ ah, I see that you are truly an exterminator. Such a pity that your only the last of your village, such a shame. Oh yes I know of the terrible attack, “ he said eying the surprised look on Sango’s face. “ my advisor knew of the demons who attacked. “ he turned to the young man .” as you can see he is a demon as well. However I can trust him with my life. “ he turned back to the group before him.” and I see that you have a demon in your group as well.”
“ hanyu.” The young man said for behind the lord.
The lord looked closer at inuyasha. “Ah I see. Hanyu... however.”he said turning back to Sango .” what do you wish after you defeat this demon?”
Sango turned to kagome. She stepped for ward. “ I am kagome. We only wish to help you and maybe collect any shards of the shikon no tama. We wish to make it whole and keep it safe after its complete.”
The lord nodded “ ah I see your cause is a noble one. What do you say Yoshiko?” he turned to his advisor and he nodded. He looked from sango to kagome and smiled at her. kagome blushed and inuyasha noticed. He growled menacingly. If Yoshiko noticed he didn’t say anything.
“You may stay and have any jewel shards the demon gives. Takatsu, please show our guest there room.” The boy that had lead them there nodded and signaled for them to follow. Sango bowed and they followed Takatsu down the hall.
“this is where you will be staying, I hope that it is most enjoyable for you. Milord will send servants down with food.”
Miroku bowed. “ that is most kind. Thank you.” the boy bowed and left.
“sooo. I guess we should unpack and get settled for the night.” kagome said
“feh, im going to have a look around, don’t like the smell of that advisor guy...”
“Oh come on inuyasha...the only reason you don’t like him is cause yoshiko has an interest in Kagome...and I believe kagome returns the interest." miroku stated.
Kagome was dumbfounded. “ wha....what? I do not!” kagome blushed wildly.
Sango noticed her friends rosy cheeks and smiled. “ you do you know...its written all over your face. “
”Feh .... well whatever, im still going to look around...” with that inuyasha turned and exited the room. Kagome frowned at his retreating back. ‘I wonder what’s up with him...’ she thought.. ‘ is he jealous? No why would he be...’ kagome shook these last thoughts from her head and started unpacking all the things they would use. There were only three futons on the floor she would just have to use her sleeping bag if inuyasha decided to sleep in there that night.
Miroku must have also noticed because a smile grew on his face and he walked over to Sango. “ Sango my dear... as you can see there is only 3 futon’s yet four of us, I will be glad to share my futon with you.” miroku took hold of her hand and smiled even more broadly.
Sango remover his hand and slapped the back of his head. “ I would rather sleep outside with demons then in here with you.”Kagome laughed, knowing Sango, she probably would.
Just then a knock came to the door. “ enter .” miroku said while rubbing the back of his head. Many women entered with trays of food and mirokus grin widen, if possible, even more. Sango noticed his gawking face and shoved her elbow into him.
A women stepped forward and bowed. “ advisor yoshiko thanks thee. He has sent you a small feast. I hope that you will enjoy it.”
Sango smiled, “ im positive we will, thank advisor Yoshiko for us.”
sango shoved her elbow into miroku again. The woman before her bowed and set down the food, as did the other woman did behind her.
After the women left, miroku rubbed his side. “ what was that for?!”
Sango turned to her rice. “ if your going to gawk at women.” she took a bit and swallowed it. “ try not to be so obvious.” sango continued eating her rice in silence. Miroku sighed and turned to his own food.

“Sango...I think im going to go look for inuyasha...its getting late.”
Sango looked up at her friend.” alright kagome, but be careful.”
Kagome nodded and walked out the door. She walked down the hall and out into the garden. ‘If he’s anywhere...he’ll be in a tree.’ she thought.
Kagome walked up to the nearest tree and looked up in it.’ he ain’t in there... where could he be?’ kagome sighed and sat under the tree. She looked up at the moon, which was getting smaller...tomorrow was the new moon, and she hoped like hell that the demon wouldn’t come.
“you shouldn’t be alone miss” said a voice causing kagome to jump. She looked around and saw Yoshiko. “ im sorry if I startled you.”
Kagome blushed and shook her head. “ no I was just surprised, since its so late, I thought you would be sleeping.“ the blush grew.
Yoshiko smiled and sat next to her “ I wouldn’t want anything happening such a pretty girl like you.“
kagome blushed even more. “ uh thanks” she gasped as Yoshiko wrapped his arms around her and pulled her closer to him. Kagome stared into his violet eyes. His lips lowered to hers. (An: don’t kill me!!) Kagome snapped out of her trance and pulled away so that he kissed her cheek.
“i...im sorry.”
Yoshiko looked disappointed but his smile returned. “ no forgive me. I was just draw into your beautiful eyes, let me escort you to your room. “ kagome nodded meekly and he pulled her to her feet and lead her back to her room. Outside of it he gave her a small kiss on her hand and bade her good night.
~Meanwhile~
inuyasha growled as Yoshiko pulled kagome into his arms and tried to kiss her. ‘Keep your filthy hands off her asshole’ his eyes widen as he saw him kiss her cheek. ‘that asshole! How dare he touch kagome!’ inuyasha growled as he saw the look on kagomes face afterwards. he took off back to the room to wait for kagome to get back.

kagome walked into the room and smiled at the sight. Miroku had his arms wrapped around Sangos waist and sango’s head was against his chest.
‘so sweet’ she though and then she saw inuyasha leaning against the
wall and she sat next to him. They didn’t say anything to one another till..
“so I take it you like Yoshiko.” inuyasha said not looking at kagome.
Kagome was taken back ‘did he see Yoshiko kiss me? he must of. Inuyasha...’ She thought. “ inuyasha, I don’t like him...I didn’t even know he was going to kiss me.”
She looked into his amber eyes. He sighed and looked away. He didn’t look back at her until he felt something on his shoulder. Kagome had fallen asleep and collapsed

kagome blushed even more. “ uh thanks” she gasped as Yoshiko wrapped his arms around her and pulled her closer to him. Kagome stared into his violet eyes. His lips lowered to hers. (An: don’t kill me!!) Kagome snapped out of her trance and pulled away so that he kissed her cheek.
“i...im sorry.”
Yoshiko looked disappointed but his smile returned. “ no forgive me. I was just draw into your beautiful eyes, let me escort you to your room. “ kagome nodded meekly and he pulled her to her feet and lead her back to her room. Outside of it he gave her a small kiss on her hand and bade her good night.
~Meanwhile~
inuyasha growled as Yoshiko pulled kagome into his arms and tried to kiss her. ‘Keep your filthy hands off her asshole’ his eyes widen as he saw him kiss her cheek. ‘that asshole! How dare he touch kagome!’ inuyasha growled as he saw the look on kagomes face afterwards. he took off back to the room to wait for kagome to get back.

kagome walked into the room and smiled at the sight. Miroku had his arms wrapped around Sangos waist and sango’s head was against his chest.
‘so sweet’ she though and then she saw inuyasha leaning against the
wall and she sat next to him. They didn’t say anything to one another till..
“so I take it you like Yoshiko.” inuyasha said not looking at kagome.
Kagome was taken back ‘did he see Yoshiko kiss me? he must of. Inuyasha...’ She thought. “ inuyasha, I don’t like him...I didn’t even know he was going to kiss me.”
She looked into his amber eyes. He sighed and looked away. He didn’t look back at her until he felt something on his shoulder. Kagome had fallen asleep and collapsed
against him. he smiled a small smile and put his arms around his kagome and fell asleep.
