Meanwhile in Kagome's bedroom,

"I can't believe you came here, didn't you know I had some friends come over" screamed Kagome

"Well if I had known I wouldn't have come, and how was I supposed to know" replied Inuyasha turning his back to her "And what about this secret boyfriend of yours" he added

"I don't have any secret boyfriend Inuyasha, and I don't have secrets from you either" Kagome's voice was now less aggressive than before

"Then who were your friends talking about in the kitchen just before you smashed my head in the ground" his voice too was getting softer.

"First, I had no idea you were there so if I said the S_ _ word, it wasn't meant for you, and second, they were talking about you"

"Me??" asked the now very confused hanyou

"Yes you, who else would it be" she replied. Kagome went to her bed to sit down and Inuyasha followed her, the room was filled with silence until Inuyasha spoke

"I thought that maybe this Hojo guy…"

"Hojo! I would never go out with him, well he's nice and all but you know how I feel about you, I've told you before, I will always be by your side because I love you"

"…"

Inuyasha could not speak, every time Kagome talked to him about her feelings he felt guilty, guilty because of the promise he made to Kikyo. And guilty because he also made promises to Kagome, but at the same time he felt good because the woman he loved, loved him back and would not leave him.

"It's ok, I know about your promise to Kikyo; I won't force you to break it and I won't leave your side whatever you choose to do"

The half demon was again speechless; all he could do was hold her hand and smile to her. Kagome suddenly stood up and cheerfully said

"Well, you can either come down with me and meet my friends or, you could go back to your time. In either case I'll call in sick for school tomorrow and continue the quest for the shards"

"Does she know?" asked Inuyasha

"Know what?"

"Well, that she really did go back in time and that I am a demon"

"I think she knows, Oh I understand, you don't want to face her questions, it's ok you can go back, I won't be mad" stated a Kagome who could not retain a little smile. When she joined her friends, all of them were surprised.

"Hey, were is he" asked Yuka

"He went back home" replied Kagome

"Well we didn't see him go through the door, he didn't just jump out of your window did he?" added Ayumi

"And what about those dog ears and claws, what is he Kagome, some kind of monster?" stated Eri angrily.

"It's a bit complicated to explain… and Inuyasha certainly isn't a monster, he may be half demon but he is still as human as you and me" angrily spat Kagome, `Oups, did I just say that he was half demon, he's gona be mad at me for days now'

With that said, Eri fainted, she just realized that she was met in the middle of the night by a demon, her mother always told her that in ancient times demons kidnapped and ate wandering girls. Kagome quickly reacted to the situation and ordered

"Lay her on the couch while I get her some ice and water"

"But what about the demon stuff" asked Ayumi half scared half exited

"No time for this now" replied Kagome. When the girl woke up five minutes later, the first thing she said was

"Was he gona eat me the other night?" Everyone was shocked except for Kagome who told her

"Not now, just get some rest and we'll talk later
