CHAPTER 16After they got back to Kaede’s village Kagome got down and ran to Inuyahsa. Inuyasha hugged Kagome and Kagome hugged him back. Sango ran over to Miroku and hugged him.“Thank you Miroku.” Sango said.Miroku blushed and was surprised that Sango was hugging him. But then he hugged her back.“Thank you for all your help! All of you” Sango said letting go of Miroku. “But Kohaku and I are leaving.”“What! Why?” Kagome asked in a confused way.“Because Kohaku and I want to rebuild the demon slayer village. I am sure I will see all of you again soon!” Sango said as she hopped on Kirara.Then they left. Miroku was sad that Sango was leaving but he understood why and he knew that he would see her someday. Someday soon.“Well Miroku what are you going to do now that the jewel is gone and Naraku is dead?” Inuyasha asked.“I am going to live with Mushin.” Miroku said.“You mean that old drunk?” Inuyasha laughed. “Well then I guess we will see you later Miroku!”“Yep see you all later!” Miroku said as he walked off.The next day Shippo was the first to get up.“Kagome! Wake up!” Shippo said.Kagome opened her eyes.“What is it Shippo?” Kagome asked.“Miroku and Sango are gone!” Shippo yelled. “And I don’t know where they went!”“They are gone Shippo.” Kagome said. “Sango went with Kohaku to the demon slayer village and Miroku went to live with Mushin.”“Are we ever going to see them again?” Shippo asked.“Who knows.” Inuyasha said as he opened his eyes. “Its just the three of us again. Who knows if we will see Sango or Miroku again.”Kagome sighed. Then Shippo went outside to see what Kaede was up to.“Are you going to leave now too?” Inuyasha asked turning to Kagome.“Of course not! Inuyasha I love you and I want to be with you till I die.” Kagome said. “Besides if I did go home I wouldn’t be able to come back, because the jewel shard is gone.”“I’m glad you are staying.” Inuyasha said with a smile. “I love you too.”Then hand in hand Kagome and Inuyasha walked out of the hut. Once they where out of the hut they looked to see that Shippo was helping Kaede in the garden.“I am glad that Shippo is saying with us.” Kagome said.“Yeah, for a runt he isn’t that bad.” Said Inuyasha.Shippo was outside helping Kaede in the garden. When Kagome and Inuyasha came out of the hut Kagome ran over to her bike and yelled to Shippo “You stay here with Kaede for a bit ok Shippo!”“Ok!” Shippo yelled to them.“Inuyasha come on lets go for a ride.” Kagome said smiling.“Sure.” Inuyasha said.As Kagome enjoyed the scenery Inuyasha was thinking. Kagome finally came to a stop by the edge of a hill. Once they both got off the bike Kagome put the bike up agents a tree. Then she went over and sat down by Inuyasha.“Kagome.” Inuyasha said.“Yeah.” Came the answer.“Its now or never….” He thought to himself. “Will you marry me?” Inuyasha said in a nervous yet excited voice.Kagome’s eyes got wide and filled up with tears. “Yes!” Kagome said as tears strung down her face.Kagome then got up and hugged Inuyasha as tight as she could. Inuyasha then picked her up and twirled her around. As he set her down he kissed her. Kagome couldn’t help but kiss him back.Then Kagome and Inuyasha went back to Kaede’s village and told them everything.“When is the wedding going to be child?” Kaede asked.“In 3 months.” Kagome said.Kagome then looked up at Inuyasha and she grabbed his hand and they went on a walk.“You will have to go to my time Inuyasha and get my mom and Sota and grandpa when the time comes.” Kagome said.“Yeah I will.” Inuyasha said.“We will also have to get Miroku and Sango and Kohaku to come to the wedding too.“Yep.” Inuyasha said looking down at Kagome.“I’m so happy!” Kagome said. “This has been the best day of my life!”“Mine too.” Inuyasha said.Then they looked into the sky.“Inuyasha.” Kagome thought. “I am so glad that you asked me to marry you. I don’t care that I am only 15. I would marry you even if I was 10. And I will die with you, always fight by your side. Kagome thought to herself. “Kagome. I will protect you and always be by your side.” Inuyasha thought to himself. Then Kagome grabbed Inuyasha’s hand and they walked some more. Soon they walked back to Kaede’s village. Shippo was already asleep in the hut. It was pretty dark out so Kagome decided to go to bed too. Not long after Kagome got into her sleeping bag Inuyasha came into the hut and sat down. It was quiet in the hut for a long time.“Kagome.” Inuyasha said.“Yeah.” She said.“I love you.” Inuyasha said.“I love you to Inuyasha.” Kagome said.

“Kagome! Kagome! Kagome!” came a voice.
Kagome opened her eyes to see that Shippo was jumping up and down yelling out her name.
“Finally you are awake!” Shippo said still jumping up and down.
“What is it Shippo.” Kagome yawned.
“Inuyasha brought something for you! Go outside! HURRY!” Shippo said in an excited voice.
“Ok ok.” Kagome said.
It was only 2 weeks till her wedding. Once Kagome got outside of the hut Inuyasha was standing there with a basket full of flowers. Pink flowers.
“Here is this enough?” Inuyasha asked setting the gigantic basket full of pink flowers down.
“Its more than enough!” Kagome said smiling. “Now I can make the arch for the wedding.”
“Kagome can I help?” Shippo asked jumping up on Kagome’s shoulder.
“Sure I could use a lot of help for the next few weeks getting everything ready.” She said.
“Tomorrow we can all go and get Miroku, Sango, and Kohaku.” Inuyasha said.
“Yep. But for now I am going to build some of the arch.” Kagome said. “You can go and do whatever you feel like doing for a bit Inuyasha. I wont be needing your help for a bit.”
“Ok.” Inuyasha said.
Wail Kagome and Shippo got started on the arch, Inuyasha went over and sat up in his favorite tree.

“Shippo can you had me that?” Kagome asked pointing to a huge white flower.
“Here you go Kagome.” Shippo said handing her the flower.
Kagome set the flower right in the top center of the arch.
“There..we’re all done.” Kagome said smiling. “Inuyasha can you come here and put the arch under the tree please?” Kagome yelled up at Inuyasha making him jump.
“Damn it! Don’t scare me like that!” Inuyasha yelled as he jumped outa the tree.
“Sorry.” Kagome said.
Inuyasha walked over and picked up the arch, then he set it under the sacred tree.
“Perfect.” Kagome said smiling.
