CHAPTER 18
“Its been about a month now that Inuyasha and I have been married.” Kagome thought to herself as she gazed at the sacred tree. “This is the very spot where I met Inuyasha.”
“Kagome! Come here and give me a hand with pulling the weeds!” Kaede said as she tried to pull some of the weeds out of the garden.
“Kohaku!” Sango yelled. “There here!”
“Who sis?” Kohaku asked running to her.
All Sango did was look up into the sky. “Its them.” She said. “Kagura! Kanna!”
“So I see that Inuyasha killed Naraku!” Kagura said as she slowly came to the ground on her giant feather. Kanna was sitting next to her. “Now my sister and I are free to do what ever we please! And what I want to do first is kill you and your brother!”
Sango got out her boomarang and whipped it at Kagura. It missed.
“Kanna! You take on Sango! I will get her brother!” Kagura yelled.
“Right.” Kanna said in an eerie voice.
“Kohaku! Be strong!” Sango said.
Then it began. Kagura did her dance of blades and Kohaku dogged the attack and whipped his sickle at her. Kagura jumped out of the way just before the sickle sliced her hand off.
“Sango!” Kohaku yelled. As he looked around he saw no sign of her. “Sango where are you?” He asked himself.
“Take this!” Sango yelled and just as she was about to whip her boomarang at Kanna she remembered the night at the castle.
Sango put the boomarang down and punched Kanna. Kanna fell to the ground like an inisont child. Kanna dropped her mirror also. It then shattered.
“Now’s my chance!” Sango yelled and picked up her boomarang and whipped it at Kanna.
The boomarang sliced right through the little child demon’s belly. And with that Kanna was dead.
“Now all I have to do is find Kagura and Kohaku!” Sango thought to herself.
“AHHHH!!!” Kohaku yelled as one of Kagura’s dance of blades sliced through his arm.
“Foolish mortal! It will be easy for me to kill you off!” Kagura laughed.
Kohaku picked up his sickle and aimed it for Kagura’s fan. Then he whipped it at her, the attack missed. Kagura did another dance of blades, but just as it was about to hit Kohaku Sango’s boomarang blocked the attack.
“Sango! Your alive!” Kohaku said.
“Of corse I am! Now move! I don’t want to loose you again!” Sango yelled at him.
Kohaku nodded and ran away from Kagura and his sister.
“Kagome!” Inuyasha yelled.
“Ummm….go away!” She mumbled covering her head with her sleeping bag.
“Kagome I smell blood…Kohaku’s blood and its thick.” Inuyasha said pulling Kagome out of her sleeping bag.
Kagome’s eyes shot open. “Well then! What are we waiting for!” She said and got up. “Don’t wake Shippo up. Let him sleep.”
“Yeah.” Came the reply.
“Oh no you don’t!” Kagura yelled and whipped another dance of blades right for Kohaku.
“NO! I wont make it to him in time!” Sango thought as she ran to her brother.
“WIND SCAR!” Inuyasha yelled and with that the attack was gone.
“Inuyasha!” Kagura yelled.
“So I see you’re still alive Kagura!” He yelled back at her.
“Inuyasha you freed me from Naraku! That dosent mean I will spare your life!” She yelled.
“Kohaku!” Sango yelled and ran twards him.
“Dance of blades!” Kagura yelled and aimed her attack at Sango and Kohaku.
The blades where coming fast at Kohaku and Sango.
“I wont make it to them in time!” Inuyasha yelled.
“Inuyasha!” Kagome yelled. “He isn’t gonna make it!” She thought to herself.
“NO! SANGO!” Came a voice. It was Miroku.
He put his staf in front of Sango and Kohaku. In such this made a barrer around them. Kagura’s attack was again defeted.
“Damn you monk!” Kagura yelled.
“Miroku!” Sango said. “How did you know all of this was happening?” She asked.
“Kirara came and got me.” He said with a smile. “Now take Kohaku and put him somewhere safe.”
Sango nodded. “Come on Kohaku!” Sango yelled and grabbed his hand and ran into the woods.
Sango told Kohaku to say in the woods and not to move from the spot where she left him. Then she left him to go and fight with the others.
“Miroku!” Sango yelled as she reached the demon slayers village.
“Its over!” Inuyasha yelled and did the backlash wave on Kagura.
Sango ran over to Miroku and he held her. There was a big flash of light from Inuyasha’s attack. “Is she dead?” Sango asked once the light dimmed.
“I don’t see her anywhere.” Miroku answered as he looked around.
“FOOLS!” Kagura yelled from the top of a hut.
Kagura then did a dance of blades and dance of the dragon all at once and it headed right for Sango. Sango tired to run away but the attack cought up with her.
“AHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!” Sango screamed in pain and fell to the ground.
“That was to easy!” Kagura laughed.
“Sango!” Miroku yelled and ran to her aid.
Miroku picked Sango up.
“Sango? Sango can you hear me?” Miroku asked.
“M…Mir..oku?” Sango stuttered.
“Sango! Its going to be ok.” He said. “Kagura you will pay!” He yelled but when he looked Kagura wasn’t there.
“She is gone.” Inuyasha said. “She escaped.”
“Miroku go and get Kohaku.” Sango said in pain.
“Ok.” He answered and set Sango down to go and find Kohaku.
It was late at night and Miroku still wasn’t back with Kohaku.
“I wonder whats takeing so long?” Kagome said. “The sun is already starteing to come up.”
Just then Miroku came back, but there was no sign of Kohaku.
“Sango.” Miroku said.
“What is it?” Came the reply.
“Kohaku…is….Kagura got to him first.” Miroku studdered.
Sango’s eyes filled up with tears. Kagome hugged Sango as her tears fell onto Kagome’s cloths soaking them.
“Oh Sango.” Kagome thought.
“He…..he didn’t…” Sango started but she couldn’t finish the sentence, because she was crying so hard.
“Shhh its going to be ok Sango.” Kagome tried to comfert her.
“Poor Sango.” Miroku thought.
“Sango why don’t you come and say with Inuyasha, Shippo and I for a few days?” Kagome said.
“Sure.” Sango answered whipeing her tears.
“Well I guess it wouldn’t hurt for me to say with you guys for a few nights too.” Miroku said.
“That would be fine.” Kagome answered.
“Oh sure! Don’t even ask me!” Inuyasha grunted.
“Inuyasha….you live with me.” Kagome said looking at Inuyasha in a serious face.
“Oh yeah!” He said.
Everyone laughed at his stupidity.
