CHAPTER 19
That night they reached Kaede’s village and Shippo was there waiting.
“Where where you guys?!?!” Shippo yelled.
“We had to go somewhere.” Kagome said.
“Sango! Miroku! What are you guys doing here?” Shippo asked running up to them.
“We are going to say here for a few days.” Sango answered.
“Just like old times!” Shippo said with a smile.
“I guess you could say that.” Miroku said looking at Sango.
“Sango where are you going?” Kagome asked.
“For a walk.” She said.
Miroku fallowed Sango. He thought he would try and cheer her up after what happened last night.
“I’m beat.” Kagome yawned. “Goodnight Shippo, goodnight Inuyasha.” Kagome said as she layed down in her sleeping bag.
“Yeah me too.” Inuyasha said. Then he sat down.
Not to long after that Shippo went off to sleep also. It was freezing outside and winter wasn’t too far away. Inuyasha saw Kagome shivering so he pulled her closer to him. Kagome felt her body warm up and then she smiled, because she knew it was Inuyasha’s body heat she flet. She snuggled closer.
Miroku and Sango where still walking through the woods not to far away from Kaede’s village.
“Sango.” Miroku said as he came to a stop.
“What is it?” Sango asked.
“I’m sorry I couldn’t get to Kohaku in time.” He said looking at the ground.
“Oh Miroku it wasn’t your fult.” Sango said.
Then she went up and hugged Miroku. He hugged her back.
“Miroku has changed.” Sango thought.
Then all of a sudden Sango flet something.
“Ok…maybe not! Why can’t he touch me somewhere romantic like my sholders or something?!?” She thought. Then SMACK!” Sango slapped him.
“Outch!” Miroku yelled.
Then after a bit they walked back to the hut.
“I am going to sleep.” Sango whispered trying not to wake Inuyasha and Kagome.
Miroku nodded.
The next morning Shippo woke up and went out to see what Kaede was doing. Kagome awoke to the faint sound of footsteps. When she slightly opened her eyes she found that it was only Sango walking out of the hut. Things became silent. Inuyasha was sleeping beside Kagome. She turned to see if he was awake yet. He wasn’t. The only sound was the sound of Inuyasha breathing deeply. Kagome looked up at his eyelids. Every now and then his eyes would move around under his eyelids.
“What could he be dreaming?” She thought.
Kagome then turned to only have her eyes looking up to the celling. She sat up.
“We arnt done yet.” She said outloud.
Inuyasha herd Kagome’s voice and he opened his eyes.
“Arnt done with what?” He asked.
“I sence 2 jewel shards coming, its still far off, but I can sence them. Its Koga. I thought that the jewel was whole, bit I was wrong. Those 2 empty spaces were so small I didn’t even notice.” Kagome said.
Inuyasha sat up.
“Koga that idiot! He dosent know that Kagome and I are married. But she said he was coming. Now would be the perfect time to kill him!” He tought to himself.
Kagome got up and dressed. Inuyasha stood up and walked over to Kagome. She turned around so her eyes met his. She leaned forward and pressed her lips gently on his. Inuyasha wrapped his hands around her neck and deepened the kiss. Kagome placed her hand in his. They both turned around only to see Shippo. His eyes were big and his face was red from embarsment. Kagome blushed and thought, “Oh my god! He saw us!” She blushed even more. Her face was beat red. Inuyasha only formed a funny look on his face, full of anger and embarsment.
Shippo stood there holding 2 apples in his hands.
“I-aaaa…..ummmm….was….aaaaa…” ; He studdered. “HERE!” Shippo yelled, dropped the apples and ran out of the hut thinking, “Inuyasha is gonna hit me!!” The thought of that only made him run faster.
Kagome stared at the apples laying on the floor, then at Inuyasha. It looked like he was going to die of embarsment. She started to walk, her hand still in his. But then all of a sudden Kagome was pulled back. Inuyasha wouldn’t buge. He was still staring at were Shippo once was.
“Come on! Shippo has seen us kiss before!” She said.
“Yeah, but when he sees us kiss, its just a little one, and the one he just saw was no little kiss!” Inuyasha said.
His face was still red as ever. He wasn’t useto other people seeing him kiss Kagome like that.
After awhile Inuyasha got ahold of himself and they walked out of the hut. He pulled Kagome into the woods and over to the hillside where he had proposed to her. They sat down on the hillside and Kagome rested her head on Inuyasha’s shoulder. They stared at the sky it was quite for awile till Kagome broke the silence.
“Hey Inuyasha?”
“Yeah.” He said still looking at the sky.
“What do you think would happen if we never got married?” She asked.
He looked down at her and said, “Well, if I didn’t feel the way I do about you, you would probably be in your era right now.”
“I guess so, but what if Kikyo didn’t die and we never loved each other?” Kagome asked.
“A-well…..why do you have to ask so many questions!”
“Inuyasha….answer me.” She said.
“Umm…well, I guess I would….This is stupid!” He yelled and stormed off into the woods.
“Inuyasha!” Kagome yelled and ran into the woods.
She looked around and there wasn’t a trace of Inuyasha.
“Where did he go?” She thought.
Just then there was a rush of strong wind and the next thing she knew Koga was holding Kagome in his arms.
“Koga!” Kagome yelled trying to get out of Koga’s grip.
“Kagome its nice to see you, I picked up on your sent and noticed that you where all alone. So I desided to come and have a little talk with you.” Koga said in a sweet voice.
Kagome got out of Koga’s arms and struggled backwards a few steps. Koga looked down and blushed a bit.
“Kagome, this time I want you to come with me, back to the den with me.” Koga said still blushing.
“Koga Im sorry, but Inuyasha and I are…..well we are married” She mumbled.
Koga looked up at Kagome and studdied her face. “Is she just saying this to make me go away?” He wondered.
“Koga I am sorry, but I have to go now.” Kagome said and started walking past him and into the woods.
“I’ll fallow her, just to see if she was lieing to me or not.” Koga thought as he watched Kagome fade into the trees of the forest.
Inuyasha sat down beside a tree. “Damn it, why did she have to bring up Kikyo?” He thought. “I mean, what was I suppose to say? Well I know what I should of said, but I don’t see why I couldn’t bring up the nerve to say it. I don’t love Kikyo anymore, she is dead. I love Kagome. But now that I think about it I wonder what it would be like if Kikyo never died, what if she never pinned me to the tree? What if we didn’t get diseved by Naraku, what if I never met Kagome?”
Just then Inuyasha herd a russle in a near by bush. He shot up and got ready to attack.
“Relax, its just me.” Kagome said walking over to him.
He just grunted and sat back down. Kagome sat down by him and looked down at the ground.
“Im sorry Inuyasha. I shouldn’t of brought Kikyo up.” Kagome said.
He started to say something in return, but then he shut his mouth. Kagome looked at him.
“I-its not that I still love Kikyo, its just I don’t know.” Inuyasha said.
“Oh” She said sadly and looked back at the ground.

He turned her around so that she was faceing him, his eyes gazed at her. “Kagome” He thought. “What are you thinking? Are you mad at me?” Just then Kagome fell into his chest. She hugged him tight. “Im not mad at you.” She whispered.
Inuyasha wrapped his arms around her.
Koga was watching from a near by tree. “I guess she wasn’t lieing.” Koga thought. “Well there is no reason for me to stay around here.” Then with that he was gone in a flash.
