Thanks for the review, Malice_Girl , Yes that is one option I have been thinking off and I also have my other three options. But the one you mentioned was my favorite. Everyone could call me every name in the book but the truth is if I could have both I would jump on the opportunity with out hesitation. What loyal fan girl wouldn’t! Also thanks for reviewing,
I’ll try to make this a good story.
Disclaimer: I do not own any of Rumiko-sama’s creations. But I do own sweet, little Daiki.

It’s been three days since Inuyasha and Shippou heard of a village, in which a miko by the name of Kagome resides. Inuyasha thought that was as good a clue as any. Luckily when they met the traveling Monk, it was the night of the new moon. Shippou remained hidden so Inuyasha could question him without distraction. Since then they haven’t stopped running.
“Inuyasha! Lets take a break!” Shippou called out jumping from tree to tree, following his adoptive Father. Now he knew what Kouga’s wolves felt like. Shippou heard a loud curse and heavy growl.
Inuyasha stopped and grunted, he could leave the fox. But he also knew Kagome probably wouldn’t be to happy about that. “Shippou! Do you want to just sit around while Kagome could be in danger!” Inuyasha growled.
“From what he heard over these last couple of years, I have a feeling she’s pretty safe.” Shippou retorted. “Lets just make camp for the night. We don’t want to pass out from exhaustion when we see her.” Shippou knew Inuyasha was tired. He was more irritable then usual, and neither of them had eaten.
“Fine but just for one night. We should be reaching the village soon.” Inuyasha was aware they needed the rest. And he was a little more than hungry.
Shippou smiled happily. “Great, say I can really go for some rabbit.”
Inuyasha could do nothing but agree.
That night after a very plumb and satisfying Rabbit both men slumped against a tree. Shippou and Inuyasha didn’t go to sleep immediately. Instead they watched the stars, something Kagome loved to do.
“Inuyasha?” Shippou asked after a long silence.
“Hm?” Inuyasha replied lost in his fantasies.
“Do you think she’ll be happy to see us?” Shippou asked fidgeting with his sword in his lap.
Inuyasha smiled softly, sure that Shippou couldn’t see. Then he grunted. “Keh! Of course!” Inuyasha tilted his head forward and stared at the fire.
Shippou said nothing for a long moment. “I wonder what’s she doing now.” Inuyasha didn’t answer. Shippou saw that he was fast asleep. Shippou smiled and followed suit.

Rin made a great wife. She was kind and gentle. Kenta felt a peace he hadn’t experienced since before his Mother died. They been married for a week and were as happy as any newly wed couple could be. When they finally made it to his village and heard that Mayu’s baby died, Rin could see the relief in her husband’s demeanor. And she wasn’t at all happy about it. She loved Mayu and Takahiro immediately. Mayu was sweet but distant. Rin felt pity for her. Takahiro was ecstatic to meet his Son’s beautiful wife. And she was everything Takahiro hoped for. He suspected she was the only woman that could make his son settle down. And he was right. Kenta and Rin agreed to staying in the village for a few days, to celebrate the wedding in Kenta’s home village.
Sesshoumaru remained hidden and decided he would go home. Rin was happy and safe, his presence was no longer required.
It been about two days and nights since he was traveling. He was in no hurry and enjoying his vacation from castle affairs. He had Rin on his mind and the many children she would most likely bear. Sesshoumaru felt a slight pang of regret hit him. He insisted the couple live in the castle. Now that he really thought about it, did he really want human children running about. But it made Rin happy, so he did not refuse. She was the only human that could make his heart melt.
At that very thought Sesshoumaru heard soft humming just ahead of him. He was bored so he decided to investigate. As he approached the humming a familiar scent caught his nose. And he stopped in shock.
‘It can’t be.’ Sesshoumaru thought. He inched closer and saw the burning fire. And the miko.
Kagome had stopped humming and turned to poke at the fire. Sesshoumaru stared at the miko in disbelief. She had two small children standing behind her, the magic emitting from them was incredible and Sesshoumaru knew they weren’t human. One of the children was holding a small bundle. Sesshoumaru could not make out what it was. He wanted to approach but stopped short when he saw an arrow pointed straight at his heart. His eyes widened he hadn’t even seen her move. He remained perfectly still. He was sure Kagome could not see him in the dark foliage. But he was still in danger.
“Youkai, what is your business here.” Kagome demanded. She was very still and the look in her eyes told Sesshoumaru she would not hesitate to fire. He said nothing.
“I ask again,” Kagome demanded again. “What is your business here!”
Sesshoumaru thought it best not to make any sudden moves. But he was curious to know where she had disappeared to. He thought she was dead, when she was carried off after Naraku’s death. Sesshoumaru slowly stepped forward, revealing himself in the light. Kagome’s pulled her arrow back further. She was always ready for anything. Kagome could sense his power and knew he was daiyoukai. But that didn’t frighten her. Aya and Amaya already disappeared with the bundle they carried.
“You are daiyoukai.” Kagome stated. “You have no business with Miko’s.” Sesshoumaru still said nothing. He stared at Kagome for the awhile. She still hadn’t moved. She was the same but different. She still had the same scent of flowers and the sun. The same fire burned in her eyes. She didn’t look much older, but then again she looked ancient. Her expression was soft but determined.
Sesshoumaru finally broke the silence. “You are Inuyasha’s Miko, are you not.” Sesshoumaru asked slowly.
Kagome had not lowered her weapon. She had heard of a hanyou called Inuyasha that searched for the sacred jewel years ago. But nothing specific. “I do not know of this Inuyasha.” Kagome replied.
Sesshoumaru chuckled slightly. He and his Brother made peace before the fight with Naraku, but he refused to go with him to his rightful home. He chose instead to find Kagome. And here she was with no memory of him.
“What is amusing youkai.” Kagome growled. Her arms steady, after intense training she could remain that way for as long as necessary.
“Do you not know who I am?” Sesshoumaru asked.
“I do not.” Kagome replied interested in his cold and calm demeanor.
Sesshoumaru stepped forward to relinquish Kagome of her weapon, he was uncomfortable having the arrow pointed at him. That was a foolish mistake on his part. Before his mind realized what was happening, it was two late. He was pinned to a tree with two arrows pinning his arms at his sides. He roared in anger. He tried to move but found his body was heavy. He struggled to kick but it took a lot of energy.
“Release me, Bitch!” Sesshoumaru growled. His temper was out the window at that point. Kagome ignored his request and went back to tending the fire. Aya and Amaya reappeared and gave the bundle to their Lady. Sesshoumaru still struggled under the powerful arrows. He roared until Kagome glared at him, still growling he noticed the bundle in her arms moving and cooing. One of the girls disappeared in the forest only to reemerge with a goat. Sesshoumaru watched as Kagome unwrapped the bundle to reveal a baby. The child giggled and reached for Kagome happily. It was faint but Sesshoumaru thought he felt small youki spikes coming from the child. But that was impossible, the baby was clearly human. Sesshoumaru struggled harder when Kagome turned her back to feed the baby from the goat. At first he thought the baby was hers, but apparently not.
Kagome had not turned to Sesshoumaru when she began speaking. “Tell me youkai, what is your name?” She could have purified him, she could have completely sealed him. But she didn’t. It would be a waste of such a beautiful youkai. Carnal thoughts instantly entered her mind when she saw his calculating eyes his upon hers. It couldn’t be helped, never knowing a man’s touch to her knowledge. She still had a woman’s longing heart. No, she wouldn’t kill him and would release him...eventually.
Sesshoumaru responded with only a growl. He didn’t really appreciate being subdued, especially by a human woman. She was as fearless as he remembered, but he would make it his mission to put the fear into her. He made the decision to kill her the moment he was free. If only just to teach her a lesson, he could always bring her back...if he wanted.
Kagome chuckled to herself as if knowing what Sesshoumaru was thinking. She lifted Daiki into her arms after he finished feeding. “Well Daiki, it looks like we caught ourselves a stubborn one.” Kagome smiled at the child. Daiki responded with tiny giggles. Which only made Sesshoumaru even more angry.
“I will not be made a fool of, now release me.” Sesshoumaru commanded again.
Kagome handed Daiki to Amaya, he didn’t hesitate to express his displeasure in the matter. Kagome sighed when he began whimpering. She began to walk over to Sesshoumaru who was struggling more now that she was within distance to attack. She was so close that if either took a deep breath they would be touching. Kagome slowly reached up and brushed the hair from Sesshoumaru’s eyes. He could do nothing but sit and take it. Sure he could have bit at her fingers, but why mutilate such delicate and gentle hands.
“There,” Kagome finally said. “That should feel better.” She turned and walked back to take Daiki in her arms. He was on the verge of full blown wailing if she hadn’t came back soon. Sesshoumaru said nothing. Sure his hair was making his eyes sting, but he wasn’t about to say thank you. Sesshoumaru continued to struggle after a hour of being subdued. Kagome sat against a tree with Daiki in her lap. She remained seated against the tree with her legs crossed and her bow and quiver of arrows tucked in her arm. It was something she always done, never sleeping on a bed roll. Sesshoumaru was remained of Inuyasha for a small moment.
“Youkai are you still angry.” Kagome asked sweetly, without opening her eyes.
Sesshoumaru growled again, this time a little softer. He was beginning to respect her. But only a bit. She was strong and she did not falter. But she was also still very caring. She could have killed him as he stayed stuck there, completely helpless. He was lost in thought before he realized Kagome was watching him.
“Sesshoumaru.” He said softly.
Kagome gave him a knowing smile. “Nice to meet you Sesshoumaru, my name is Kagome.”

Inuyasha and Shippou made their way to the tiny village, rumored to house Kagome. They were immediately halted, and two farmers armed with harmless tools approached them.
“Youkai! Youkai approaching the village!” One of the men yelled as a warning to the village.
Inuyasha and Shippou did not move. They knew the village Miko would come with the other villagers. They held their breath. Coming down the hill was a middle aged priestess, she had medium length brown hair with streaks of gray. Her features were that of a young woman, although she walked slightly hunched over. She had a kinder face then that of the angry villagers following behind her. Shippou stepped forward to greet the Miko. He didn’t want Inuyasha to show his famous temper.
Shippou lowered his head in respect. “Hello, Miko-sama.” Shippou smiled, using his less threatening tone, though his voice was growing more mature and had no choice but to sound devious.
“How can I help you Kitsune.” The Miko addressed Shippou, she could see the irritation in the hanyou’s expression.
“My name is Shippou and this is Inuyasha.” Shippou began. “We were hoping you had information on a miko, she was taken from us five years ago.” Shippou felt his heart in his throat as his prepared to say her name. “Her name is Kagome.”
There were shocked and angry gasps coming from the villagers who surrounded them.
“You youkai have no business with Kagome-sama!” One young man exclaimed.
“Calm yourself Ichiro.” The Miko interrupted sternly. “Young Shippou and Inuyasha are our guests.” The Miko smiled and turned to lead the youkai to the village.
“But Natsumi-sama, they could be enemies of Kagome-sama.” Ichiro called out. But Natsumi already had Shippou and Inuyasha at her tail.
Inside Natsumi’s hut she offered Shippou and Inuyasha a meal, which Inuyasha quickly refused.
“I must apologize for Ichiro’s behavior.” Natsumi sighed. “He took Kagome-sama’s departure particularly hard. He cared deeply for her. But it was unrequited love.” Inuyasha gave a soft growl. And Natsumi looked up surprised.
“Excuse, Inuyasha. He also took her disappearance pretty hard.” Shippou explained, as he elbowed his companion. “Except their love was mutual. And she was like a Mother to me” Shippou’s voice had a sadness to it, Natsumi could only be reminded of a child who lost his Mother.
“Ah, I see.” The Miko sighed. “So you say it’s been five years? That is about the time Kagome-sama came to us.” Natsumi sighed as the memories of sweet Kagome came two her. “She was disorientated and had no memory of her past. All she knew was her name and she wasn’t even sure about that.” Neither interrupted and Natsumi continued. “Her holy powers were out of control and it took a long time for her to control them. She is a very kind person, one of the strongest people I’ve ever met.”
“Where is she now?” Shippou asked anxiously.
“Sadly she left us three years ago.” Natsumi heard a sharp intake of breath coming from the hanyou’s direction. And she chuckled nervously. “No, it’s not like that. Kagome-sama left the village to use her powers and help people throughout the country.”
“Hm, three years ago?” Shippou knew just how far a person could get in three years. “Did she make any indication as to what direction she would travel?”
“She did not, but her retainer, Sayuri may be able to help.” Natsumi said as if just remembering the tiny bird youkai who aides and watches over Kagome, after Kagome saved her life. “Sayuri never stays in one place so it is sometimes hard to call upon her. But birds are always listening.”
Shippou’s eyes lit up. This was the closet they ever got to finding his Mother and he could barely contain himself. He wondered what Inuyasha was thinking.
Inuyasha’s stomach was doing back flips. He was getting close, each time Kagome’s name was mentioned his heart skipped a beat. He thought his heart would give out right there. He listened intently for the Miko to continue.
“You may rest here for the night, I will send the word out and I’m sure Sayuri will come.” Natsumi smiled.
“Thank you very much Natsumi-san” Shippou bowed. Inuyasha just grunted, but deep inside he wanted to jump for joy.
“Now may I ask what happen five years ago, for Kagome-sama to find her way here.” Natsumi asked concerned.
Shippou and Inuyasha looked at each other. Shippou prepared for the long story.
