Final Showdown

At Kyushin's Castle

"They killed Kaminari and Ketsueki!" Kage cried

Kage's cries made Rin's ears hurt. The woman screeched, ranted, and raved in her sorrow. It also worried the little girl, if her lord didn't show up soon she didn't know what the hysterical woman would do. The only thing keeping her alive was the man who seemed to have brought the plot against her lord into being.

Finally Kyushin spoke, "Quiet yourself, did you really think you had a chance against Sesshoumaru and his hanyou brother? Of course not, that's why I've made special arrangements. I can revive anyone as long as there are remains to work with. So, unfortunately, Ketsueki will not be joining us."

"Really?! You can do that?!" Kage's eyes were wide with hope

"Yes, so retrieve your sister's remains and I will reveal my final plan."

"Wait a minute, final plan. I thought the fight at the Ancient Warrior Graveyard was the final plan."

"Actually, I gave Kaminari specific orders to bring Sesshoumaru back barely alive."

"Why?"

"You will find out when you do as I've instructed, but we will need Kaminari for the next step."

 

Sesshoumaru raced toward Kyushin's Castle with Inuyasha and Kagome following him. I have to hurry and save Rin. Kami only knew what Kyushin was doing to her. From what Sesshoumaru remembered Kyushin was one sick bastard. That's why it was so easy for Sesshoumaru to take advantage of his mate. Just then Sesshoumaru felt something pass by him extremely fast. What was that? Sesshoumaru dropped off his cloud to the ground looking back at his brother.

Inuyasha finally caught up to Sesshoumaru, "What the hell was that?!"

"I don't know, but it was in a hurry."

"Suspicious?" Inuyasha asked twitching his ears

"Yes, but I have no time to investigate, I must get to Rin."

Inuyasha and Kagome both nodded and the heroes continued their journey.

 

Back at Kyushin's Castle in the Dungeon

It had been an hour since Kage left; Kyushin was starting to get irritated. Not that he was worried if she ran into Sesshoumaru, but it would complicate his plans greatly. He looked over to the little girl tied up against the wall crying silently. Now what will I do with this little thing when I'm done?

"Sorry I took so long." Kage entered with Kaminari's remains

"Then what took you so long?" He demanded

Kage waltzed toward him holding Kaminari's head and her body slung over one shoulder, "I set up a few traps for Sesshoumaru and his search and destroy party. They were heading here just a little too fast for my taste. I wanted a chance to play with the doll." She looked in Rin's direction.

"The child will not be harmed, I haven't figured out what I want to do with her yet."

"Well then, let's bring back my sister and put that plan of yours into affect."

"Bring her here." Kyushin pointed the area right in front of his feet

Kage set Kaminari on the stone floor in front of Kyushin. Kyushin slit his right wrist and smeared the blood on Kaminari's severed neck. Then he sat the body up and set the head in place. The blood melded the head to the body and a dark cold air covered her body. Kaminari's eyes flew open to stare at her sister and employer.

"What the…" Kaminari frowned

"He brought you back Ken!"

"I was dead?!"

"Yes," Kyushin smiled, "Sesshoumaru isn't the only youkai you can revive the dead."

"So what's next?" Kage asked

"I'm glad you asked," Kyushin composed himself, " In the chamber above us I have set up for the ritual that will make youkai into humans and vise versa."

"Ooh!" Kaminari laughed sarcastically

Kyushin frowned, his patience almost spent. "Of course someone of your stature could not understand its power. Come with me and I will show you my creation. Kage bring the girl and do not harm her."

Kage retrieved Rin as Kyushin teleported himself and Kaminari to the chamber above. Kage smiled, she couldn't wait till Sesshoumaru and his little tag alongs got what was coming to them, her sister's death would be avenged.

 

“Duck Kagome!" Inuyasha yelled as he fought off a neko youkai.

Kagome ducked and ran toward Inuyasha shooting an arrow at his opponent. She couldn't say that she was surprised that they had been ambushed, it usually happened. She sighed firing another arrow. This whole thing was becoming quite tiresome. Sesshoumaru busied himself with a few neko youkai, using his whip to dispose of them quickly. They were trying to buy time; therefore they must have some kind of plan. Sesshoumaru narrowed his eyes and headed in the direction of the castle. What they have planned will not save them from my wrath.

When all enemies were taken care of, Kagome looked over to see Sesshoumaru leaving, " Do you think these things came from that energy we felt?"

"Yes, they're stalling for time." He threw the answer behind him; if he waited for them then he would loose time.

"Why, I thought that Kyushin wanted to fight you." Inuyasha knelt so Kagome could mount his back.

"He doesn't want to fight because he will lose. He has something more sinister in mind." Sesshoumaru rose to the sky

"What do you think it is?" Inuyasha asked

"When Kyushin is involved, you never know."

"Why are making him sound so evil. Just because he has your kid doesn't make him the greatest evil ever. He's just a sneaky cowardly son of a bitch."

Those last words were said to nothing but air. Sesshoumaru had left them behind once again.

 

"You see here are three stones." Kyushin pointed to three stones sitting on cobalt table with strange letters on them; " They fit into the slots over there." He then pointed to an altar that had three holes in it that would hold the stones.

"What do they mean?" Kage asked giving the stones immense scrutiny

"If you shut up and listen you'll find out." Kaminari nudged her sister

"You messed up when you brought her back." Kage frowned and crossed her arms

"What? How so?" Kyushin eyed Kaminari

"She's really bitchy now; she used to be so much fun." Kage chuckled

"Well excuse me sister, but I would like to achieve revenge for being killed. And we don't have much time till they arrive, so please, shut the fuck up." Kaminari snapped

"Gomen." Kage hung her head

"Now, like I was saying. Kage you look after the girl. When Sesshoumaru arrives and sees his precious little girl in danger, he'll come rushing in. When he reaches that point," He pointed to the location where a silver crystal hung upon the ceiling. The three symbols on the stones were etched into the floor. "Then Kaminari will transfer her lightening to the stones. The first stone will bind Sesshoumaru to the spot. The second stone will strip him of his youkai blood and power. And the third will transfer it to me. Then he will become what he hates the most, human."

"So that's your master plan?!" Kaminari asks enraged, "I thought we were going to kill him."

"No, we will let him live out the rest of his miserable mortal life. Then he will suffer as I have."

"And this all over a girl." Kage laughed; "Talk about excessive."

"Atsuara was my mate, my lover, and he took her away from me."

"So where is she now?" Kage asked

 

"She went back to him." Sesshoumaru said walking to the entrance doors of Kyushin's Castle

"Then what's his problem." Inuyasha asked

"It was his mate." Sesshoumaru replied as if it was just that simple.

"I thought he said you stole her from him?" Kagome asked confused

"I stole her heart." Sesshoumaru looked down the halls

"But of course you couldn't return the feeling so she went back to him." Inuyasha concluded

"And nobody wants feel like a rebound lover." Kagome sympathized

"Rebound?" Inuyasha asked

"Someone you go to when you can't have who you want. So what happened to her?"

"He probably killed her." Inuyasha said

"I honestly don't care." Sesshoumaru retorted

"That's so cold." Kagome frowned, "So she was just something to occupy your time?! You used her!"

"Yes." Sesshoumaru said simply as he decided on taking the hall with Rin's scent emitting from it.

"How could…"

"Don't bother Kagome, he doesn't know how to love." Inuyasha smirked as they walked through the halls following Sesshoumaru

"Then what about Rin?" Kagome asks Sesshoumaru

"Probably just a sex toy for Jaken, to keep him off Sesshoumaru's back all the time." Inuyasha quipped

At that Sesshoumaru whirled around and grabbed Inuyasha by the collar, "How dare you even conceive such a thought. I would kill you now for suck insolence but I have more pressing matters. But we will finish this at a later time." Sesshoumaru released Inuyasha and continued to the room where he could smell Kyushin, Kage, Rin, and…

“Kaminari Ken!" Sesshoumaru said shocked. How many time would he have to defeat her before she stayed in the depths of hell!

Sesshoumaru opened the door and spotted Kyushin, behind him Kage had Rin by the hair with her hand around the girl's throat. That sent Sesshoumaru into immediate rage. Usually he kept his cool and thought before taking action. But the whole ordeal combined with concern for the girl had blinding him.

"Die!" He rushed at Kyushin ready to go through him and destroy Kage

"Sesshoumaru wait!" Inuyasha yelled. He couldn't believe what he was seeing. Sesshoumaru was known for stoic behavior. To see his brother rush in without think of A, why they were just standing there, and B where the third opponent had fled to.

But of course he was too late, there was no way his voice was going to match much less beat Sesshoumaru's speed. Sesshoumaru stepped underneath the crystal. Kaminari powered the stones. Three bonds glowing silver restrained Sesshoumaru. Inuyasha ran to his brother but was stopped by Kage who had slipped along the wall of the room and tackled Inuyasha. Kagome tried to get a clear shot but the two combatants continued to roll around on the floor almost rolling into Sesshoumaru.

"Now you will receive the same fate Atsuara did. I will absorb your youkai blood and leave you human. Then I will raise your human child to be my new mate." Kyushin grinned evilly as Sesshoumaru struggled fiercely at the last words but to no avail, "Activate the second stone Kaminari!"

Rin now free, because of the new attention Kage was showing Inuyasha, was determined not to let his plan take effect. She ran toward her Sesshoumaru-sama calling out his name.

"No!" Kyushin turned around to see the girl crawl between his legs, "Do not activate the second stone!"

Ken stopped powering the stones and went after Rin. This will be the last time that little bitch will be a problem!

"No you fool, don't…" Kyushin shouted at Kaminari

Before he could speak another word, he was hit by a poisonous claw sending him reeling into the back wall.

"He's free!" Kage hissed taking notice at that precise moment Inuyasha put her into a headlock and Kagome fired an arrow into her stomach. Inuyasha backed off as the assassin disintegrated much like her sister had.

"No!" Kaminari stopped dead in her tracks right in front of Sesshoumaru and Rin; " You will die!" She reached out for Rin and grabbed her round the waist before Sesshoumaru could pull Rin out of Kaminari's reach.

"Back off or she dies." Kaminari screamed as she backed up under the crystal.

Sesshoumaru backed up and Rin then bit Kaminari's arm. She dropped the girl and yelped as Rin ran off into the direction of the altar. Sesshoumaru went to decapitate her once again when she fired her electricity at Rin. Fortunate for the child, her clumsy ways made her trip and fall right before the ball would hit her and instead hit the altar powering it. Kaminari screamed as she was bound, the altar sucked at her electricity just as Kyushin picked himself off the floor. Now conscious he saw the situation. Sesshoumaru, Inuyasha, and the miko watched as Kaminari destroyed her youkai self. The girl lay on the floor next to altar. He sneered seeing his plan unravel right before him.

"You little bitch, you did this!" Kyushin yelled

Kyushin approached Rin; his threatening figure roused her from the floor and toward her master. Only problem was that Kaminari was in the way. Rin tried to run around her and was caught by the lightening. A huge flash took place, Kyushin, Sesshoumaru, Inuyasha, and Kagome all covered their eyes from the blinding light. The light finally dimmed, then disappeared revealing Rin and Kaminari lying on the floor side by side. Sesshoumaru immediately swept Rin into his arms ignoring Kyushin and Kaminari. He checked her breathing. She was still alive, and in fact she seemed perfectly fine. He could feel her youki and her scent had changed slightly. Kaminari groaned as she sat up. She stood and was faced with the scene of Sesshoumaru coddling his small treasure.

"That just sickens me!" Kaminari sneered feeling her anger build.

Sesshoumaru looked her way and set Rin into Inuyasha's arms.

"Keep her sa…"

Sesshoumaru, Inuyasha, and Kagome were knocked to the floor by a ball of black energy.

"If I can't absorb your power, then I'll just kill you." Kyushin spat, "Starting with your little girl. Kaminari, do the honors."

Kaminari smiled and snatched up the child. Feeling her body being yanked, Rin awoke to the startling sight of Kaminari Ken.

"No!" Rin screamed

Suddenly a bolt of electricity erupted from her body and slammed Kaminari into the back the back wall and leaving an imprint of her body as she combusted into flames.

"How?" Inuyasha asked, “You didn't tell me the kid could do that!”

"She must have absorbed Kaminari's power when the altar was activated." Kagome reasoned

"True, if the third stone is not activated then the abstracted youkai blood is sent to the closest being, which was your Rin." Kyushin explained

"Why are you two talking?" Kagome asked, "I thought you were going to fight. But so far it seems that you two haven't faced off since we arrived."

"Yeah, Sesshoumaru got that cheap shot and now you want to talk!" Inuyasha fumed

"Well, the conversation stops now." Sesshoumaru announced

Sesshoumaru lashed out with his whip, Kyushin disappeared and reappeared in front of Rin. She frowned and let another bolt erupt from her body and hit Kyushin, pushing him underneath the crystal. At that instant she powered the altar, pouring as much power as she could into the stones. The process quickened, and before Rin knew it she was hit by Kyushin's youkai blood and transformed. Everything dimmed as she fell to the floor.

Kyushin looked up to Sesshoumaru, "Now you've taken everything from me. Atsuara, my assassins, my power, I hate you Sesshoumaru. Right to the core of my soul, my very being, I hate you!"

"And now you may hate me from your grave." Sesshoumaru let his poisonous claw go through Kyushin's heart. Blood spurted out onto Sesshoumaru as the former youkai fell backwards dead. Sesshoumaru looked down at Rin; her hair seemed blacker with streaks of white. Her youki was amazingly strong for a child. Both the powers of Kyushin and Kaminari Ken resided in the child now. Sesshoumaru knew he would have to eventually train her to use her newfound abilities.

Kagome picked up Rin, "Let's go."
