Broken Seal?

 

DAY 6

 

“Just one more day and after that she'll be back” the hanyou thought as they walked towards the well.

 

They agreed, only after a short fight, that Kagome should return to her time, to see her friends and to buy new supplies for the trip. At first the girl didn't agree for Inuyasha to come with her, because she thought that he would scare her family, but after brief round of shouting she agreed.

 

Now they were both walking in silence, the boy was behind her watching the ground. He sighed when he smelled something familiar.

 

“Oh no! Just when I thought things couldn't get worse” he spoke, as his anger grew.

 

A small tornado approached the young girl and after the twist stopped we could see Kouga holding Kagome's hands.

 

“Kagome my dear, how are you?” he said watching her eyes.

 

The girl seemed puzzled and had a nervous smile upon her face. The hanyou's face became red with anger. It was the drop that broke the glass.

 

“Take your filthy hands off her” he hissed with his fist risen, anime style.

 

“Oh dog-crap, I haven't noticed you until now.”

 

Without any other warnings Inuyasha jumped and yelled attacking the wolf youkai.

 

“Sankon Tessou”

 

The wolf took several steps back, obviously surprised by the attack. He usually barked a lot, but now the damn hanyou seemed angry. “What the hell is wrong with him?” asked himself.

 

“I told you to get your hands off her. Why do you always have to get so close to her?”

 

“Umm…guys? What's going on?” asked Kagome with an innocent look.

 

“What's wrong with her?” yelled Kouga.

 

“Nothing” the hanyou shouted back.

 

“Then why she seems pail and sad? And why the hell did she asked what's going on, she knows that we are always fighting.”

 

“Nothing is wrong, now get the hell out of here”

 

“I think I should take her with me. When she was almost killed you said that you'll never put her in danger again and now I find her in a similar situation”

 

Inuyasha's eyes narrowed dangerously. His teeth were clutched hard and his nails pierced through his palm skin.

 

“I'm warning you I'm not in the mood for you runt. Get the hell away”

 

Kagome took several steps back. She was scared half to death. She never saw someone so angry, in her entire life. Dozins of questions flooded her head like “What's wrong with him?” or “Will he kill Kouga?”. She had no idea why was he so angry about.

 

With the corner of his eyes Inuyasha saw her. He could feel her fear. “No, no Kagome don't be afraid” he yelled in his mind. He threw a cold look towards the youkai.

 

“Touch her and you die” he hissed.

 

“Dog-crap, what happened to her again?” Kouga hollered, but taking few steps back.

 

Inuyasha started to growl, when the wolf demon jumped in front of Kagome kissing her hands.

 

“I'll be back for you, I promise” he said before transforming into a tornado again and fades away.

 

Inuyasha tried to calm himself. He hated when Kagome feared him. He hasn't seen her like this since they first met and he tried to kill her to get the jewel. He now shook his head when he remembered. He watched her in the eyes.

 

“You shouldn't be afraid of me. Hurting you would be the last thing in this world that I'd do” he spoke roughly and looked away.

 

She didn't seem to believe him and that hurt him more than anything in this world. Her trust was the only real thing that he had and now he lost that too.

 

“Let's go” she said eventually.

 

Her voice was calmer, but still distrustful. Inuyasha followed her with the most sad look upon his face.

 

Few minutes later they were at her house. Kagome was hugging her mother, her grandfather was reading a paper and Souta was questioning Inuyasha as usual.

 

Kagome was surprised to see that everyone else seemed to know the hanyou. “How come they all know him and I don't?” she asked herself few moments later, relaxed in her bathtub. “What's with this boy? Sometimes I think I can trust him and then he sometimes scares me like hell. I wish I could remember something about us” she sighed and rested her head on her forearm.

 

Inuysha sat on her bed, waiting for Kagome to finish her bath. He smelled the room. As usual it was full of her scent.

 

“Damn it, wench” he mumbled closing his eyes. “ What the hell happened to us anyway? I though we were doing good until this curse”

 

Images of her yelling at him and the sadness in her eyes when he ran to see Kikyou made his heart ache.

 

“How stupid can a hanyou such as myself can get?” he asked himself loud, then snorted.

Kagome entered her room only to find that the hanyou was lined on her bed.

 

“Great! Now where am I supposed to sleep?” she whispered exasperated.

 

It wasn't enough that he had to come with her, now they had to share…a sudden thought hit her. “What if we usually slept…to-together?” Her face turned red and she took several steps back until her back touched the door. “What should I do? Does he usually sleeps in my bed?”

 

All the questions gave her a head ache and she was so tired. Kagome scoots closer to the bed. Watches the hanyou for few seconds and listens to see if he's asleep. His breath was regulate, sign that he was indeed asleep. She slowly lined on the bed, trying not to touch the boy. She knew that it would be a miracle if she could get some sleep, but what choice does she have?

 

Her heart started to beat faster when she heard the hanyou sighing. He was mumbling something that she couldn't understand. Kagome moved her head a little closer trying to hear something.

 

“Ka-go-me…”

 

Her eyes opened wider as she heard her name. He was still asleep and he was whispering her name. “What in the world was between us anyway?” Her shock grew bigger when his arm wrapped around her waist and got her closer to him. “Oh my goodness, what now?”

 

She waited, but nothing else happened so she relaxed her body. She kept listening to his breath, it was so calm that it made her happy. “That's strange” she thought. But before asking herself anymore questions, her eyes closed and she fell asleep.

“Why does Kagome has to go back in her own time?” Shippou whined.

 

“Shippou-chan” smiled Sango.

 

“Do you miss her so much?” asked the priest.

 

“Yes” he nodded. And I hate Inuyasha, because he followes her everywhere.”

 

“That's not necessarly a bad thing” added Miroku.

 

“What do you mean?” asked the kitsune.

 

“Umm…I..”

 

“Hoshi-sama, drop it” said the demon slayer with one hand at her mouth trying not to laugh.

 

Kirara mewed and curled in a corner near the fire.

 

“These are not things to talk about with a kid” spoke Kaede.

 

Shippou muttered and turned his head away trying to seem upset, but he only managed to get the others to laugh out loud. When they stopped Sango spoke.

 

“So tomorrow Kagome-chan should get her memories back”

 

“Hai” Miroku agreed.

 

“I just hope Inuyasha will remember to give her the medicine” she continued.

 

“He will. The way he acted these past days I think he can't wait to get her back” the priest said with a smile.

 

Kaede nodded.

DAY 7

 

He felt his arm numbed and he tried to lift it but couldn't do it.

 

“What the…?” he asked himself.

 

And then he turned his head and saw that he was holding Kagome in his arms. His face turned red at the thought that they slept like this al night. He now realized why his sleep was so peaceful.

 

Kagome sighed and turned to face him. She was still asleep, he knew that, but her face was so close to his. A sudden hit spread into his body and his heart started to beat faster. He loved so much the way that her face looked when she slept. He felt a powerful need to touch her, but he knew that if he would do that, he'd wake her up.

 

Inuyasha just kept staring at her, until she opened her eyes, few minutes later. They grew wider when she realized how close they were.

 

“Um..” she stuttered and moved away.

 

He seemed almost sad, when she was no longer in his arms, but then his eyes began to sparkle. “Today was THE DAY” he thought and a feeling of joy flooded his body. He jumped from the bed and got out from the room, leaving Kagome with her mouth opened in surprise.

 

Inuyasha came back after few minutes with a glass in his hand.

 

“Here” he said with a weird happiness in his eyes.

 

“What's this?” she asked puzzled.

 

“The cure. Don't ask questions, just drink it” he ended.

 

She swallowed hard when she took the glass. The girl watched it with a doubt, then looked up at him. The smile on his face was amazing and she had the feeling that she should be happy to see it. Kagome drank the liquid without any other words.

 

When she finished she looked at him again.

 

“Now what?” she spoke.

 

His face came closer and his eyes narrowed. He just stared.

 

“Do you remember me?” he grinned.

 

She would give anything in this world to say yes. He seemed so happy that she felt her heart aching, thinking that she still didn't remember a thing. His face remained there, then his smile disappeared.

 

“Y-you don't?” he whispered.

 

She shook her head unable to speak. Tears started to flow from her eyes. She wished she could die. She knew that his feelings got crushed, all his hopes…

 

He took a step back and looked away with his teeth clutched.

 

“I-I'm sorry” she said trying to get closer.

 

He pushed her back and hissed.

 

“Don't worry about it, you probably don't want to remember…”

 

He jumped through the window, as she watched him fade away.
