The Mending Soul Ch. 2
The rest of the day didn't go much better. Inuyasha ended up sleeping in the room as much as Kagome did. 'It’s probably the rainy weather' Inuyasha thought. Rain always made him tired and moody. If he got wet he would get cold and his hair would be soppin’ wet and wouldn't dry for hours. He would also smell like a wet dog. Even though Inuyasha would never admit it, he hated that smell.
The next few days didn't go much better. It was the spring season and it rained for days at a time. The villagers were starting to worry about flooding in the village and fields. But the protectors of the village were not worried about such things. Water could be dealt with, it was a recovery they were struggling with.
Sango and Miroku had gone off to help some villager with a leaking roof on a hut nearby. The little kitsune was once again being himself. Shippou was playing with a ball and a rejuvenated Kirara, with Kaede watching the two of them. The hanyou still had not left Kagome's side; Kaede was bringing him all of his meals. The old miko had noticed Inuyasha would try and wake Kagome every time to get her to eat. Sometimes the Hanyou ended up going hungry if Kagome ate all that she was given. He wouldn't even ask for another bowl for himself. Kaede was growing worried about Inuyasha. She knew even half demons had vast amounts of energy, but everyone had limits.
"Inuyasha, how is Kagome?" Shippou asked as his ball rolled into Inuyasha's leg.
"Be careful not to wake her Shippou," Inuyasha said sincerely as he handed the ball back to him. "She is breathing normally and has cooled down, so I think she is getting better."
Shippou was shocked out of his mind. No yelling, no hitting, and Inuyasha actually talked to him like a normal person. Shippou turned around and went straight to Kaede to tell her what had just transpired between the two.
Kaede listened to Shippou's every word. She almost could not believe the kitsune - almost. She told Shippou to go find Miroku and Sango and stay with them, but not to tell them what had happened. She watched as the fox went hopping around the puddles to go find his friends.
Inuyasha was sitting against the wall when Kaede burst into the room, Priestess aura glowing as bright as daylight, "Who are ye evil demon, be gone, get away from Kagome, ye are not what ye seem to be! Where is Inuyasha what have ye done with him?" Kaede shouted at the top of her lungs.
Inuyasha was to say the least surprised by this. He was on his feet in a second and had Tetsusaiga drawn but not transformed. The hanyou didn't want to hurt the old miko, but if she had finally gone off the deep end....well he didn't want to be purified.
"What the hell's goin' on, you old hag? It's me! Can’t ya tell?" Inuyasha managed to get out when he settled down.
"Then why isn't Tetsusaiga transformed, hmm?" Kaede managed.
It was getting harder and harder not to laugh. The old miko finally relaxed her aura once Inuyasha had transformed his sword to show her. She asked him to sit by her and saw his hesitation. "Inuyasha, that was a test to bring ye back to your senses. I have seen ye feed Kagome and sometimes take none for yourself. Ye must eat or ye will become ill as well. Now I will leave ye two alone," Kaede said as she saw Kagome begin to awaken.
Inuyasha was at her side in an instant, ignoring the old miko walking out the door of the room. "Kagome, how do you feel?"
"I feel better Inuyasha. Have you even left me?" Kagome already knew the answer but had to hear nonetheless.
"Of course I left your side." Inuyasha said, "I won't be confined to a room just because you're ill." Inuyasha immediately regretted saying these words.
"INUYASHA,...Sit Boy!" Kagome watched as Inuyasha made an imprint in the floor of the hut.
Inuyasha was up in an instant right next to her. It nearly frightened Kagome, he could smell it.
"Do you know how long I have been waiting for that? It's been forever since you passed out," Inuyasha said, looking into Kagome's beautiful brown eyes. He leaned into her face nose to nose. He couldn't stop himself, he was getting so close to her. Her scent was driving him insane; the tent in his hakama was proof enough of that.
Inuyasha was surprised when Kagome closed the little distance between their lips in a heartbeat. Their lips met and both savored the moment, neither wishing to break the passions that were there. It was too soon when Kagome had to come up for air. When she broke the kiss, Inuyasha nearly bolted out the door, but the young miko caught him before he could get up.
"I..I'm sorry Kagome, I didn't mean.." Inuyasha stammered.
Kagome pulled him closer and whispered in his ear, "I did."
With that Inuyasha attacked her mouth with another wave a passion. It wasn't aggressive, but extremely possessive. Kagome's lips opened for Inuyasha's tongue to enter her hot, wet mouth. This time he didn't draw back. He began to explore every inch of her mouth. Her teeth were smooth and rounded. Her taste was wonderful, it was something he couldn't describe. He couldn't get enough of it.
Kagome let Inuyasha explore her mouth, the sensations she was feeling was ones of pure ecstasy. She wanted to taste him, to feel his mouth with hers. The battle for dominance began. She could tell Inuyasha was intrigued when she began to force her tongue into his mouth. She easily lost the battle, but had succeeded in letting the hanyou know she wanted to taste him. Kagome was learning fast that she could breath through her nose and not break the kiss at all. She felt his lips part and began to run her tongue along his bottom lip. After teasing it softly she invaded his wet cavern. Kagome ran her tongue along his teeth until she felt one of his fangs. She spent most of her time on his fangs, she was fascinated with them.
Both broke the kiss and took a much needed break for air to sastisfy their deprived lungs. Inuyasha could smell Kagome's arousal, it was intoxicating. He began to run his hands through her hair and over her face. Gently brushing his lethal claws over her jaw line. Then after he teased her face he began to move down to her shoulders as he claimed her mouth once agian. He felt he was about to explode with passion. Inuyasha moved his hands down the priestess robes Kaede had clothed Kagome in and parted them to allow him a view more arousing than anything he had imagined. Two lovely rounded breasts with smooth silky skin. Even after days without a bath she was so clean. He hesitated from moving his hands from her arms untill Kagome broke their kiss and gave him a sign to coninue. As Inuyasha moved his clawed hands to her breasts, he felt Kagome tug at his Haori. He shed it in an instant just wanting to touch her smooth silky skin. He ran his claws all around her breasts not wanting to miss an inch of her wonderful body. The longer he touched her the more daring he got. He moved one hand to massage her left breast while he pinced her right nipple between his fingers. He was pleased to hear the moan of pleasure escape her lips.
"Ooo....Inu," That was all Kagome managed to say as she passed out from the exertion of their ordeal.
Inuyasha was afraid he had further injured her, but relaxed when he realized she was just in a deep relaxed sleep. He dressed her back into the robes he had taken off and moved her to a more comfortable position on the futon.
"I can wait Kagome, for as long as you need." Inuyasha whispered to the unconscious girl as he put on his haori. He moved back over to his position in the room and continued to watch over her while she slept. He would wait for her as she had waited for him all of these years, he knew that now.
