Chapter 12: Peek-a-boob

Kagome watched her father walk down into the court yard and greet their guests. “Mama, who are they?” Kagome asked her mother.

“Dear they are the royal family from the Western Kingdom, the kind Inu-no-Tashio, and his sons Sesshomaru the stony and InuYasha the brash.” her mother said while smiling at her young daughter.

“Oh. Why do they have silver hair?” Kagome asked her mom again.

“Because their demons. Or at least Inu-no-Tashio and Sesshomaru is. InuYasha’s only half. Meaning he’s half human and half demon.” her mother explained while the two watched the demons dismount from their horses and pony. They handed the reins to the grooms and followed King Higurashi into the castle. Kagome squealed in her 7 year old voice and ran out of the royal bedchambers and straight down the staircase and straight into her father’s chest. She watched the young boy with dog ears and grinned.

“Daddy can I play with him?” she asked sweetly. Her father smiled and nodded.

“In an hour okay. They need some rest.” her father said and Kagome turned and skipped back to her room to put on her play dresses so her formal ones wouldn’t rip.

***An Hour later***

“Hi.” she told him when he scowled, “Want to go riding?” and she watched as his scowl turn to a smirk and she guessed he would try to pull something.

“Sure.” he said. Kagome grinned and bounced out of the room holding the kid by the hand. The white haired boy grimaced but couldn’t pull his hand out of the girls cootie infested hand, his dad was watching. Kagome made a sharp turn the poor kid nearly fell to the floor. They were standing in front of the royal stables.

“Come on!” Kagome said as she tugged him into the horse infested building. She skipped down the center walkway, the grooms leading the few horses that were out of their stalls out of the princess’ way. She led him to the middle of the stable and turned right, down another path. “This is where my ponies are kept. I’m going to ride Mizu and you can ride, hmm lets see…” she gazed around at the five ponies. “Okay you can ride him, he’s called Gin.”

“Silver? But he’s black.” InuYasha said as he looked at the pony she pointed at.

“But his eyes are silver.” Kagome said as she waved to a groom standing near. “Mizu and Gin.”

The groom complied and brought the two ponies out and saddled them. Mizu, a dapple gray pony was bridled in a light blue and her saddle blanket was of the same color. The saddle itself was a creamy leather. Gin’s tack was a silver color and his saddle was black. They led the ponies out, followed by a mounted guard on a tall bay horse. It’s saddle cloth was marked with the royal guards insignia. An arrow surrounded by a pink burst, the symbol of purity in it’s finest, otherwise known as Kagome’s private guards.

They mounted and InuYasha was surprised to see how easily she mounted. Grinning he knew it was going to be fun to trick her. “Yasha lets go to the meadow.” he nodded and kicked her pony into a trot. He followed her and swerved close to a dead tree and broke off a thick branch. Pretending she was a dangerous soldier he charge, his ‘sword’ low. She turned to look back at him and laughed, kicking Mizu to a gallop. Within minutes Mizu outdistanced Gin and InuYasha growled.

“Puppy!” the girl called as she whirled the pony around. The pony reared and it’s front hooves struck the ground as it charged towards him, the girl on it’s back grinning madly. InuYasha’s pony backed up and reared catching it’s rider unaware and tossing him into the pond that somehow found its way there. Gin trotted over to Kagome and she rubbed the velvety nose of the pony while looking at the sopping wet boy who glared at her. “I knew what you were going to try all the boys try it at some point. Gin’s gallop is slow but his trot is not. Mizu is fast and she is smart to so she knows what I want. Gin loves me since I raised him from a colt.”

“Gah.” InuYasha said as he stood, his royal clothes dripping in water and a lily pad hanging off of his ear. His golden gaze glared at her while he plucked the plant of and stood. He flexed his claws as he stood and growled.

“InuYasha you should know by now Father doesn’t approve of you taking baths in ponds or your clothes.” a calm and cold voice said. The two children looked up and found themselves looking at Sesshomaru, sitting upon his horse and holding the reins of InuYasha’s pony.

“It’s her fault! She made me fall in!” InuYasha protested when the two kings rode up on their own horses.

“Kagome, dear do I have to take away your ponies again?” the Eastern king said with a sigh.

“Papa, he started it. He chased me with a stick!” she pouted.

“InuYasha!” Scolded the King of the Western Lands. “I do believe your mother taught you better. I am sorry about the actions of my son, Lord Higurashi. I also beg forgiveness on behalf of InuYasha, Princess Higurashi.” the king bowed low to the princess and glared at his son.

“It’s okay. He’s only a boy. And boys like to tease girls. It’s only in their nature.” she said in her little girl voice. The adults looked at each other and missed the angelic princess sticking her tongue at InuYasha.

“Come along InuYasha, I have finished our business and we wouldn’t want your lady mother to worry, would we?” His father said as he turned his horse towards the city.

“Yes father.” InuYasha said as he stomped to his mount and stuck his nose in the air like Sesshomaru.

“Say goodbye.”

“Do I have to father?” InuYasha begged.

“Yes.”

“Bye Bratcess Kagome.” he stuck his tongue out and trotted off.

“InuYasha!” his father growled as he swung his horse after.

“It’s okay King Tashio, he’s just mad because he lost.” Kagome said in her sweetest voice possible.

“Kagome, Your quarters now!” an angry female voice said.

“Mother!” Kagome whined.

“Now!” her mother ordered from atop her white horse.

“Yes mama.” the little girl said as she followed her mom.

“I shall speak with Tashio.” her father said as he kicked his horse into a gallop.

“Mommy?” Kagome asked as she rode besides her mother.

“Yes?”

“Are you mad at me?” she asked.

“No. you have to learn to be nice to princes. Soon they are going to court you.” her mother said as the neared the two kings.

“-ome is going to be engaged to him.” Tashio said.

“Yes. It will unite the two greatest kingdoms.” her father said.

“Plus it seems she can fight fire with fire.” Tashio finished as he went after his son, the oldest following.

“Hey wake up!” a familiar and gruff voice growled.

***E.OF.***

Kagome jumped out of her bed clutching her bedclothes when a ghastly figure tapped her shoulder. She screamed.

“hey watch it!” the figure said as he held his hands to his ears.

“Sorry!” Kagome stuttered as she pulled the covers around her modest form.

“Look, you wanted to be an assassin so lets get going!” the Silver Fang ordered.

‘Okay. So he wants to be this way?’ Kagome thought as she let the covers fall to her feet.

“Wha?” he asked.

Kagome stood her long black hair the only thing covering the exposed breasts that were seen beneath the see through shift she wore.
